WAIT FOR IT: CUP SEMI-FINAL DRAW DELAY

CELTIC will face a delay of over 24 hours to discover their Scottish Cup semi-final opponents – if, of course, the holders avert disaster in Sunday afternoon’s last-eight tie against Livingston at Parkhead.

Brendan Rodgers is chasing a league and Cup double on his return to the champions and he is determined to lead the Hoops to the silverware showpiece at Hampden on the iconic date of May 25.

The team will take nothing for granted against the West Lothian club who made it difficult in the hosts’ 2-0 win with goals from Kyogo Furuhashi and Liam Scales in the east end of Glasgow a couple of days before Christmas.

Barring a major shock, Rodgers’ men will take their place in the last-four draw on Monday evening following Hearts’ meeting with Championship outfit Morton at Cappielow which has a 7.45pm kick-off.
