Incredible pieces of Celtic History that you could win
As you may already know, we have 2 Celtic tops (1 home and 1 away) signed by the last 11 Club Captains of Celtic Football Club spanning the past 53 years of our unbroken history, from Billy to Broony. These items have been professionally designed and framed, containing all the players’ relevant stats. These truly are two of a kind and are a once in a lifetime opportunity to be the proud owner of. The signing of the tops took us around 18 months to achieve and the journey and story behind this was amazing. We plan to share this story with you over the coming weeks.
We are also delighted to announce that the money raised from the Captains tops (and other special prizes) will not only support Shay but also the wonderful work of the Celtic FC Foundation.
This is our plan
The WalkWithShay Campaign is now fully registered with the Licensing Board to run lotteries (raffles); and we are planning to hold our 1st raffle where the First Prize will be the Away Club Captains top, together with many other great Celtic related prizes. The draw date for this raffle will be 25th May 2017 (no need to remind you of the significance of that date). We need help to sell our raffle tickets for £5 each and spread awareness before then. Yes, that’s right, you could win the Away top for just £5!!!! The Home top will be raffled/auctioned or sold at a later date.
This is where we need your help…
We’re looking for
67 Supporters Clubs / Groups / Associations / Online Communities/Businesses/Establishments or super Individuals to each sell up to 50 (Lisboa) tickets @£5 each
This will form our Green Battalion
and
67 individuals to sell up to 10 (IAR) tickets @ £5 each
This will form our White Battalion
You are of course all welcome to sell more or indeed a smaller quantity of tickets, if you so desire. Regardless of what you sell (or buy) we really appreciate your support.
We would like to have all our sellers registered before Monday 3rd April, which is when we plan to go live with the sale of our raffle tickets. There is a bit of work here to ensure we comply with our license, so please contact us now.
Please help us recruit by sharing our story with your family, friends and colleagues.
Will you Join Wee Shay’s Green Raffle Army?
Are you able and willing to help and support this amazing initiative? If so please email us at walkwithshay@yahoo.com or if you are on Twitter send us a direct message @walkwithshay we are also on Facebook.
Thanks for taking the time to read our update and we really hope you can support Shay and his young family.
Yours forever in Celtic and thank you for Walking with Shay.

Reading back apparently nearly not winning is the new
shocking defeat!!!
I imagine Brendan doesn’t want to drop the likes of KT, Sinclair or Dembele before the Title is won,
These are the lads that played a major role in winning it and it would be a shame to see them dropped for the finale.
If we clinch the Title next week, I think we will then see changes OK.
If Dembele is injured then the promotion of Griff will of course be automatic for next week.
I think the likes of Griff, Rogic, Gamboa, Izzy & Henderson will be needed if we are going to go through League undefeated.
Oh and O’Dea is a bit of a p***k , don’t know what his problem is when playing against us.

Two stops along your Metro line to Liceu, that’s on the Ramblas. There are two Irish bars off the Ramblas which will probably be showing it. They are only 5 minutes apart so you will be fine. Just Google Irish bars near Ramblas, sorry cannot remember names although I have been in the two of them.
Three games previously I thought that KT was looking out of sorts. Today towards the end he looked absolutely exhausted. Hopefully he will get a rest and return as the player we really know he is. Thought AS was the m.o.m. In the end, we are only three points from the title and we have Lisbon to look forward to as well.
Another 3 pts collected well done Celtic, looking a bit jaded and some are in need of a rest period, BR just said Moussa overstretched and he should be fine, hope though those who are not away playing internationals get a well deserved break, winning is not easy and a lot of these players it will be their first time they will be winning a league, the intensity of having to win for these guys started back in June so understandable that some are shattered.
So because we dont score 4 or more we are in a slump??
How about this for a “slump”
1-0 home against accies,2-1 home against Dundee,1-0 home against Partick .
Its a league, we will have games like today.
This is a remarkable season, possibly one of the greatest in our history, we really should just enjoy the ride

I don’t doubt that which makes his attitude when playing us even stranger, it’s like he’s got some grudge against us.
2 red card challenges in his last 2 game against us.
Who needs friends like this :o)
I thought we won today!!!
Shocker of a penalty decision missed by the ref in the Spurs v Southampton match
GARY67
Apparently we didn’t win well enough
Are the officials ready to declare a winner in the
GOALS FOR SHAY
contest?
Or will they create site traffic by having us check back regularly?
The return of the slump.
I like Darren O’Dea, if I had half a chance to play against Celtic I would try my heart out and if necessary kick everything that moved……..if I was a ref I would give Celtic everything, human nature
Dembelle loads of goals, Sinclair loads of goals, Armstrong outstanding since getting in the team, Boyata outstanding since getting in the team……..
Over the full season, my player of the year is already Scott Brown
GG
Congratulations to Hot Smoked who won his prize by putting pride behind a fall :-)
All kidding aside I think if Man City score 10 hit smoked might get pipped
Strange game at Dens where we won much more comfortably than the scoreline might suggest.
Inevitable form loss in every season but our side has already slaughtered all comers to open a record breaking lead that could yet get bigger, much to the angst of Sevconia.
You have to be significantly better over the piece and that is exactly where we are, there is no one in our squad, we haven’t already seen or who hasn’t contributed this season waiting to get a game. Brendan Rodgers side although shuffled, will always have a familiar look, and this about as good as it gets.
The transfer window looms large for the European qualifiers, remember his word – ‘disappointed’ at the way the last one ended. We need to stay ahead of the game buying well, for domestic dominance and a tilt at the CL.
Several players need rested for refocus on the run in towards the treble, squad filling players put GOD in doubt and will be moved on, or sideways the new head scout wasn’t appointed for fun.
Today the Dundee goal changed the complexion of what was a routine away win, but we are unbeaten and unbowed, and likely to crush Hearts in the same old way.
M.O.M Scott Brown

Re kicking everything….
Not surprising, coming from an ex bergeddie fc player :)

I was already needing snookers,so I played my joker yesterday at Ibrox.
Double f…-all is still f… all. I was hoping for better from Hamilton.
Interesting to see how far we have come in the period since Brendan took over. Last season we would more than likely just have been relieved to have won given our propensity to feck things up under Ronnie’s management. A short time later having won just won another game we are now concerned as to the manner of the win and discussing what needs to be done to find our attacking élan. Good times to be a Tim.
Agree with others we need Tommy Rogic back in the team ASAP but fear the ref sanctioned industrial tackling our players have to contend with each game will ensure he finds himself back on the treatment table sooner rather than later. I have little doubt that if Tom is fit for the semi against Sevco they , the zombie players, will have clear instructions to boot the bejaysus out of him early in the game safe in the knowledge the ref will do hee haw to protect him.

*and if he and his team mates play the way they did today in their next game then the League will be won before we go tae swinecastle.
Match Report up now.
Geo’s pics to follow, thanks for pass to Dundee FC, also thanks for clearing our banner.

GFTB-agree regarding O’Dea,but just because Dembelle and Sinclair score loads of goals and have been outstanding this season,if they have a few iffy games it’s allowed to say so

Totally laugh out moment…..
Our failure to buy in the January window !!!!!
Oh aye, league done and semi final to come next month, that dam January window was a nightmare…… And unbeaten domestically all season :-) :-) :-)
I rarely read back but today am so glad I just read the last page
Happy days
Darren O’Dea is an uber tim. He has called the Hun cheats out during media interviews on a couple of occasions. Isn’t he one of the few ex Celts to call for Rangers (IL) to be stripped of titles. I think Darren only plays one way and that is fully committed.
GG
I believe they are waiting on the outcome of the Man City game as someone selected them but IF they fail to score 10 goals…….they still need to wait for JJ handing in his soul after his sevco selection yesterday!
THUNDER ROAD- thanks for the reply-one of my favs
Haven’t read back and missed the game..
Strange that Griffiths didn’t get game time today … I would have started him after dembele poor show against the huns.
Griffiths is a great player to have and I know brendan and staff are closer to him than me but I think Griffiths has grown up alot and seems alot fitter than he did 2years ago. Even under Ronnie Griffiths seemed to be one of the players who attitude was spot on.
2-1 Spurs v Southampton, the non penalty looking even worse now
GFTB. Teams are learning how to negate our approach. This has happened the Brendan several times in his career. He said himself we didn’t get our targets. We need options to change things up which we appear to be lacking.
That said at least I have brightened your day.

Thanks for info.
Now it’s up to the quiz masters to whip up enthusiasm for the next competition.
There’s a two week window when we are all turned off the internationals to grab our attention, have us gasping to put our entries in.
CORKCELT
Though some players form has tapered off i think Brendan will give those players the deserved chance to conclude the title race against the minis.
KT is young and a little self doubt has crept in.
The kick the shit out of us campaign has shown promise in slowing us down so i expect more of the same till title is clinched.
Fairhill Bhoy 3.21
Just on the blog and posted that as my view, not in a response to anything, by the way this the place to put your views on the game, I hadn’t a clue you had posted around same subject, Moussa & Scott were gash last Sunday as well :-)
Dbhoy 3.16 I was up front, I was the one getting kicked because of the hammer throwers those big bad defenders always pick on the wee Bhoy :-)
BMCUWP 3.17
The important thing is your conscience is clear, who needs to win, would rather lose than cross to the dark side :-)

I assume fully committed means dirty? He’s a Celt so we should be fine with his style of football? When at Celtic he came across as a defender that preferred to try and play the game the right way. Now he seems to play like a Souness lite
PROUDBHOY on 19TH MARCH 2017 3:25 PM
Yes I Thought Griff would play some part today. BR had him warming up at about the half hour mark 1st half and again in the 2nd half. Think he would have got on if they hadn’t scored as he decided to shore up defence with Erik.
It’s a mssm myth that Dembele was poor against the huns.
He was manhandled throughout the entire game and when he did have the audacity to win the ball he was penalized by a hun with a whistle.
Any player would have struggled against such blatant cheating.
