Walk with Shay 1

Incredible pieces of Celtic History that you could win

As you may already know, we have 2 Celtic tops (1 home and 1 away) signed by the last 11 Club Captains of Celtic Football Club spanning the past 53 years of our unbroken history, from Billy to Broony. These items have been professionally designed and framed, containing all the players’ relevant stats. These truly are two of a kind and are a once in a lifetime opportunity to be the proud owner of.  The signing of the tops took us around 18 months to achieve and the journey and story behind this was amazing. We plan to share this story with you over the coming weeks.

We are also delighted to announce that the money raised from the Captains tops (and other special prizes) will not only support Shay but also the wonderful work of the Celtic FC Foundation.

This is our plan

The WalkWithShay Campaign is now fully registered with the Licensing Board to run lotteries (raffles); and we are planning to hold our 1st raffle where the First Prize will be the Away Club Captains top, together with many other great Celtic related prizes.  The draw date for this raffle will be 25th May 2017 (no need to remind you of the significance of that date). We need help to sell our raffle tickets for £5 each and spread awareness before then. Yes, that’s right, you could win the Away top for just £5!!!! The Home top will be raffled/auctioned or sold at a later date.

This is where we need your help…

We’re looking for

67 Supporters Clubs / Groups / Associations / Online Communities/Businesses/Establishments or super Individuals to each sell up to 50 (Lisboa) tickets @£5 each

This will form our Green Battalion

and

67 individuals to sell up to 10 (IAR) tickets @ £5 each

This will form our White Battalion

You are of course all welcome to sell more or indeed a smaller quantity of tickets, if you so desire. Regardless of what you sell (or buy) we really appreciate your support.

We would like to have all our sellers registered before Monday 3rd April, which is when we plan to go live with the sale of our raffle tickets. There is a bit of work here to ensure we comply with our license, so please contact us now.

Please help us recruit by sharing our story with your family, friends and colleagues.

Will you Join Wee Shay’s Green Raffle Army?

Are you able and willing to help and support this amazing initiative? If so please email us at walkwithshay@yahoo.com or if you are on Twitter send us a direct message @walkwithshay we are also on Facebook.

Thanks for taking the time to read our update and we really hope you can support Shay and his young family.

Yours forever in Celtic and thank you for Walking with Shay.

Cant say ive ever heard it but i will check it out.

I like him and love quite a few of his tracks(great choon Marspapa cheers!)like The River, Brilliant Disguise, etc., but have never really had a listen to so much of his stuff and i intend to.

BMCUWP gave me a shout about a show that was on recently and i regret not tuning into it.

Too much goes on at times and stuff gets left for another day but then that day never seems to come.

  2. Decent opening 1-1 draw for the ladies team versus last year’s champions Glasgow City.

Two Americans signed for the team this week. One is a McFarlane from San Francisco. San Francisco being my fairer half’s home town, I’m being made to drag out my credit card to buy a McFarlane pink tap for her.

Thanks for the free international delivery Celtic Super Store.

  3. Neg Anon,

Even by your “standards” , a truly desperate attempt at a negative spin!

Who are these teams that have sussed out Brendan?

My only means of watching stuff for a few years was any dvds that i had and id gone through the card with them so many times that i badly needed to get some more so i thought about a lot of movies that i hadnt seen for for years and that was 1 of them and so i bought the DVD about a year ago.

Like all great movies…….its still a great watch :)

the Huddle … I dont think I said ‘he’s a tim, so its alright’…. ….. as I said, I didn’t see it, so I cant comment on that particular incident …. I said I respected him as a player, generally…

  6. Scotland doesn’t want another referendum.

No need for all that expense and anxiety on CQN.

The Scottish Conservative leader has said the majority of Scots do not want a second independence referendum.

Ruth Davidson told the BBC’s Andrew Marr Show that Nicola Sturgeon’s call for such a vote was “not the will of the Scottish people”.

She said: “The SNP is not Scotland, they are acting against the majority wishes of the people of Scotland.”

    Ps

Blatant attempt to direct attention from our loss today nd our continuing slum.

  7. 16 roads - Celtic über alles... on

Maybe it’s just that the other teams have now learned how to nullify this Celtic team?

They’ve caught on so to speak.

It happens in football all the time.

Either that or they have realised that they can boot our players up and down the park with impunity.

But you remember the Rogic tackle though? :O)

I wasn’t saying you said it, it was more about the general comments on here that he’s a good guy so everything is fine.

Please guys don’t turn cqn into a party political broadcast again

    ———-

To be fair some of the SNP posters that invaded the site were hilarious, what was his name Billy bhoy or something. He was obviously told to pollute websites with the message, and we chuckled at his attempt.

The site is fun when everyone can post what they want, the mods were a bad idea

  11. Neganon2 – thanks for confirming you know f#ck-all about football and have never played the game.

    Often wondered.

Today – disappointing . At 2-0 thought we would romp home 5 or 6 clear -and the Dundee heids told the story; they expected it.

But much like last week when we had the Huns at 1-0 and 75% possession we failed to kill the game.

We ended up like a Deila side, defending the ubiquitous 2-0 lead.

However, that can be classified under existential angst – the anxious title ‘getting-over-the-line’ display.

2 week wait, ONE game to go from the title on the 2nd (SECOND) of April – BEFORE the split.

Greeters – Would you have take n THAT in August?

    Rhetorical question.

Get it done, Lhads. F#ck those negative trolls. LOST COUNT of domestic games unbeaten. 36? Jesus wept.

    MAGNIFICENT CELTIC.

  12. Fairhill Bhoy

We need to ensure we don’t dwell on the ever closing gap and the sensational loss of form in our last two SPFL defeats.

THE HUDDLE-funny or not,it got boring

    ——–

Nah the more posts the better no matter the subject, sometimes even the moonhowlers only post 2-3 post, it’s just wrong. The more the merrier

  14. Right I’m out of here for a wee while so I’m going to drop a stink bomb.

I like Darren O’Dea and was disappointed he left or was fired.

    (Awaiting Warburton’s insight into this.)

I thought he was the type of robust, no nonsense defender we needed when games get tight and tousy with referees allowing unquestionably bad tackles to go unpunished.

  15. Tricoloured Ribbon on

We were coasting at 2-0,then Brendan’s substitution of McGregor with Kouassi changed the whole complexion of the match.

The boy looked completely overwhelmed.Fouling and continuous misplaced passes.

Our best players-Dembele,Sinclair and Tierney have all gone off form at the same time.

It’s three points closer to the title mind you and Armstrong has been immense lately.

I would definitely play Griffiths at Tynecastle as he thrives on playing against the maroon balloons.

Glad we have no game next week to be honest.

    Hail Hail bhoys.

Normally i need to hear a song a few times before it grows on me but instantly that was a wow so thank you!

This is the version i checked out…….

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuYUxsl_F7k

An absolutely amazing coincidence as well is that it looks like Tri-Coloured Ribbon actually filmed it :)

My favourite version of Thunder Road was removed from youtube many years ago and ive never found it since…….think it was live in Stokholm……..anyway…….Bruce pretty much done it all by himself……..the moothy intro and exit just like Johnny 99, strummmed the geetar and played the piano…….but it was all slowed down and i think it makes the song even better like that…….not in toooooo much of a rush…….a bit like the Walk On really……anyway……this is kinda like it……

  17. Darren O’Dea getitng a roasting.

    1) – His wrestling tackle was the LEAST damaging way he could’ve hauled down our man – usually with a Hun you’re talking studs raking legs or ankle-dislocating assaults from behind. Wake up.

    2) – NO dramatic reaction to Moussa’s overhead attempt – swearing and rubbing of heid as he walked away from the incident. You think any Hun would have not taken the chanc eto writhe in agony and warrant at leats a yellow for Moussa? Wake up 2.

Christ, you’d think we’d lost instead of stretching our soon-to-be-wuruld-recurd unbeaten run.

You forgetting his tackle on Rogic which put him out for months?

Also his constant moaning to the ref after the Moussa kick, demanding a card

i have got the Hanson brothers figures also.

My wife always says i’m childish.

It is the one sport I’d follow live in the US/Canada, great fun.

Can’t wait for the Goon 2 showing in Edinburgh.

  22. SANDMAN

Agree about O’Dea not making a meal of Dembeles high kick which did catch him.

I have no doubt he is aTim but a dirty B at times though not an orange one.

  23. the_huddle on 19th March 2017 4:53 pm

    =======

Disagree on the Rogic tackle – innocuous when analysed. Nohing obviously malicious. Big Tom has been prone to injury and poor physical performance and I’ve read it linked back to his development in Oz in the hakki-sack (or some other) type league; short games, focus on skill rather than physical strength.

Big Dareren O’Dea did NOTHING today that would indicate to me he had it in for us. Refer to my original post- many a Hun would have taken their chances to damage our players. I thought he played hard for his own team and treated our players with tough love. Kudos for his non-reaction to Moussa’s overhead attempt.

  24. Should add- O’Dea owed us nothing, gave us nothing, and performed in a professional manner without bias, IMO.

You maybe need to revisit that tackle on Rogic, it wasn’t a run of the mill sort and had nothing to do about a players fitness problems
