Watching players on the edge

1018

I like watching a professional perform on the edge. We watched Anthony Stokes do just that at the Cup Final, where despite two superb goals from Gary Hooper, he was clearly head and shoulders above everyone else on the field. This has not always been the way for Anthony, so has too often failed to command a starting place, and live up to the form he promised all those years ago at Falkirk.

Celtic have put a contract in front of him but it will be considerably lighter than the contract Hooper has no intentions of signing. It’s very much up to Anthony now. Deliver and the riches will follow. Don’t bet against him.

Only just catching up on the somewhat demeaning promotion of a football club hiring a new team bus. Every time I see the coach/manager at that club, buses, or to be more precise, Blakey, from On the Buses comes to mind. These people lend themselves to parody so unselfishly.

Coach/Manager

Inspector Blakey

The fascinating part is, only one of the two above was trying to be ridiculous. You enjoy another day of being a Celtic fan.

    What a difference a day makes over on RM deluded land :))

    Yesterday Gion & Boccanegre were heroes for tearing their contracts up to save the new mob £2 million(I know I know)

    Today Gion wins in their words “The Romanian pick pocket of the year award”

    Evening times reporting he walked with £427,000

    Thats what I was on about earlier.I could not believe they would walk away for the good of the huns. Some of the MSM too busy telling anyone who will listen, that we got nothing for Rogne, while managing to miss the story of the huns bleeding about £800,000 out the door.

    Lord Reid the Heid and how to mitigate the GB via legal recourse.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    With prison populations at breaking point, the government is set to radically increase the tagging industry – making it another tasty area of profit for grateful corporates G4S and Serco (any relation to Sevco?).

    A “tag” can be used for prisoners coming towards the end of their sentences or as part of freestanding curfew orders. In 2010/11, 115,870 people were tagged, with £54.6m going to Serco and £62.3m to G4S as a result. The coalition expects the number of people who are tagged at any one time to rise from 35,000 to 180,000 – meaning tagging will become a £1bn industry.

    The ministry of Justice is also looking at the very high prices charged in the U.K. In 2005, the Home Office justifying the contracts with the claim that outsourcing would reduce costs by 50%. Recently, however, G4S said it had achieved a mere 13% reduction. Evidence shows that tagging costs £1.22 a day in the USA, and a staggering £13.14 per day in the UK. PriceWaterHouseCoopers have been brought in to look into the contracts and the private companies’ questionable billing.

    ok this may appease you somewhat. I have shares in American Life, Connecticut general and Celtic. (amongst others)

    I am so relieved in what these 19 firefighters accomplished before they died in mute nasal agony akin to a flame thrower that next week my company can still trade on the stock market down 29C /share instead of 30c. God help us if these heroes hadnt stopped all those big hooses being burnt doon. Now I can divert attention to my Celtic investment and it will only get better if we start playing Sevco at Ibrox. Sharewise. Trust me.
