We need to be honest with ourselves

255

I read in some places how poor PSV Eindhoven were last night.  PSV are not a poor team, they finished ahead of a Conference League finalist and two points behind a side who won all six of their Champions League group games last season.

During the first half, they were harried out of their stride, were unable to build periods of possession and only remained in the game as they clearly have better players than their well-drilled opponents.  Even if Newco are denied Champions League income next week, we have a fight on our hands for the domestic title.

I’m struggling to think of a single Newco squad member who would get into the Celtic team, but none of us would entertain the fantasy that our current squad would get anywhere near a European final.  Newco players have a curious level of energy and physicality.  This is what took them to Seville and what inhibited Celtic in the clubs two final meetings last season, when we managed a draw and extra-time defeat.

No later than three weeks today we will have played in the Champions League and our [principle domestic challengers.  We need to be honest with ourselves, there is still work to be done.

From one ass to another 🤗

I don’t mind sharing knowledge – so now you know – tell us what you find.

    That line was predicted too.

So how’s it accessed and is there a search facility?

  4. IF newco beats PSV and they enter the land of Milk and Honey I assume they will not be able to resist blowing the wad on another box-office player. It is in their DNA to flash the cash. Doubt they learnt anything from he AR debacle.

  5. Bottom of the page a pull down menu – select the month – this shows all the articles – pick the one you want and scan through

OK ta, but when you click on a month and year what’s meant to happen? Because it doesn’t seem to be working for me.

  7. There is a wee search box at the top of page , if you put a key word in there , oh , like administration or liquidation it should bring up loads of articles pertaining to the subject…

    😁

Every day is a school day.

The search facility works, sort of.

I typed in black pudding and it took me to an article about Carlton Cole, which was a bit disconcerting, though reading the article mollified my concerns.

But I know for of fact that there’s been more than one mention of black pudding in the past, so the search function clearly isn’t exhaustive.

I hope it’s chilled in the Chilterns

BTW it’s ‘ Rainjurz we don’t need no steenkin Rainjurz ’ note spelling.

When I saw SFTB’s long Celtic post warning I immediately expected trouble, where have you been? I suspect that you are miffed at Sevco’s Euro ‘runs’ and like a lot of Celtic supporters you redirect your miff, at the Celtic board because somehow it was them not Scottish Society at large, that let them start up to eventually get past the Petrofac ‘flushed’ with success in Seville.

Since we spoke last, Sevco are now well established in Scotland they have arrived kicking, rioting , screaming and come fully endorsed via your regular British TV licence and national broadcasters. They have been allowed to reneague on the official League sponsor, and had two suspected ‘ Kafflikly referees ‘ serve lengthy bans from iPox.

Board v St Brendan Board v Rainjurz Board v SFA Board v Green Brigade whatever the debate most Celtic supporters who see it this way and meet at the insecton of interest can come down on either side. It’s the ones that can’t that seek attention. The St Brendan debate is old hat and we’ll never agree, your board stance is too entrenched on that one.

Raging CQN monikers aside the Celtic board like the rest of football waited for Lord Nimmo Smith to deliver his judgment, no matter how deeply flawed it turned out to be. This was the verdict of the highest court in the land, what were Celtic supposed to do other than vote ‘ney’ like the rest and have Spare License FC start up in the Baw in Hedge League?

“ Losing Rainjurz was bad for business “ another heroic CEO Fergus McCann

Genuinely, interested in what Celtic Football Club were to have done at this point when LNS delivered his judgement which incidentally found Rainjurz guilty on most of the charges.

Would you have accepted a statement like

“They died , we know they died, and they know that we know, they died “

    Makes sense to me CSC

  11. I would love to hear this done at next game.

Sure many/most are aware of this, but if not.

Please Please read🙏, I parked my animosity

with a bit of difficulty, towards Mr Crooked mouth, the other day remembering my grannie telling me there is good even in a Campbell.

This imho is even more important, as i have said previously i work supporting vulnerable people.

Please read, please share and please show love in the 7th minute of next game.

Things are getting more and more horrendous all the time for vulnerable people.

The LNS report did not come from the highest court in the land.

It came from a jobbing legal hack looking for a side hustle.

  13. LNS Inquiry = SPL Payments probe @ Aug 2012 announcement.

No courts / legal standards involved.

just a name with a badge and an SPL remit.

  14. bournesouprecipe

Are you sure you are not confusing the Independent Inquiry set up by the SPL in 2012, Chaired by Lord William Nimmo Smith to examine registration of players by RFC as was, with the FTT (First Tax Tribunal) re HMRC versus RFC and subsequent hearings which culminated with the Supreme Court ruling in HMRC’s favour?
