Weepy incompetent Newco, belligerent Hearts, be Good to each other

808

The SFA’s statement last night clarifies the immediate future of the game, or lack thereof.  No training will be permitted until at least the 10 June and the professional game can start 6 weeks after training.  Without the lockdown being extended, the earliest behind closed doors football game can take place on 22 July.

It would be possible to complete the Premiership by 19 August.  Today’s proposal by the SPFL keeps this option on the table.

The new league season would need to start immediately thereafter, games would almost certainly be played behind closed doors and Uefa would need to delay the start of Champions and Europa League qualification competitions until the last week in August.  I think this is unlikely, but it remains possible.

I understand that Hearts, four points adrift at the bottom, are lashing out in every direction, but they would be better advised to try to win support for league reconstruction than go down the belligerent route.  Maybe Ann Budge should have retained the bonus scheme and avoided all this stress.

Newco’s anger is a pale shadow of what we saw during the Traynor statement years.  It’s all a bit limp for my palette. I like my Newco statements frothing with anger, typed while standing in fermenting urine-soaked shoes with flute music blaring in the background.  Don’t judge me.

Today’s “legal advisor did not deem our Members Resolution as competent” is so weepy all I feel is pity.

This afternoon’s SPFL vote can change only details for Celtic.  The real battle was to make this season Null and Void and our incompetent friends across the city were chased out of town for that suggestion.  Celtic will be champions; nine-in-a-row is ours, whether achieved on the field or after Uefa issue advice to national associations.

It’s also interesting to watch the paranoia triggers.  Our own sufferers’ gas will be at a peep for a while, whereas Newco’s conspiracy theorists were born for these times.  Do not be like any of them, just because the tide goes against you, doesn’t mean The Man is out to get you!  You’re just a little anxious.

I know this is a Terrible Good Friday, but be Good to each other today – and stay indoors all weekend.

  1. No surprise to me that the old

Last resort Masonic distress signal now being played by the SEVCO KLAN !!

Full frontal attack on the SPFL ruling body demanding the resignations of Doncaster and Mc Kenzie stating foul play and evidence from a inside knuckle crunching whistle blower !

This was and is their last card to avoid admin and the voiding of the season.

All the FF cretins are delighted with the

    “ All out War “ attack !

Time for Doncaster to play dirty with the very disease of a club he helped protect during the Ebt tax evasion and improper registration years.

This was always going to come back and bite them in the arse !

Phrases like Coordinated Conspiracy Sporting integrity and Honest transparency being Championed and Heralded by the very peepil who have orchestrated the biggest disgrace and corruption in the history of sport bar none !!!

I have said ALL along they will go to ANY LENGTHS to stop US being successful And I mean Any !!!

    And

  2. I suspect Sevco are now trying to establish a victim narrative to explain the rejection of their European license for next season.

  3. Time to drive that Resolution 12 Bulldozer as well.

I have no sympathy for Doncaster he got into bed with Satan and now he is possibly going to pay the price. He could, however, undergo an exorcism. 😉 Time for the UFH signal. 🖐🏻🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🖐🏻

I wonder how many other national associations are going through this kind of pantomime?

My guess would be something between zilch and zero .

The huns have had it their own way for far too long.

  7. One of the problems of trying to decipher the deliberately vague comments that the Ibrox club puts out in Statements is that they are hard to refute. They seem amateurish but I think they are a clever blend of rhetoric to create a victim myth.

For example, if Dundee submitted their vote but were then asked to hold off, was that bullying, incompetence, technical cock-up or a deliberate creation of confusion?

If they were inclined to vote against the proposal and were then told by Doncaster or some other SPFL figure that “you do realise we cannot distribute money until we have a supported vote?”- is that bribery, threat or a clear eyed description of reality?

I am inclined to disbelieve, at source, everything that comes out of Ibrox but stop and ask yourselves, “what if they are right?”. What if there was a way of distributing money to clubs without them having to agree to finish the leagues? If you were Stranraer, Hearts, Thistle or Brechin, would you not want to find a way of contesting your imposed relegation and not succumb to the sop of being promised early release of money? Similarly, if you were Queens Park or East Fife or Dunfermline and could force your way into a potentially lucrative play off space, would you not want to take that chance.

I fear that Doncaster has created a legitimacy to their spurious claims of victimhood by stating- “no way can funds be released until you vote to end the season”. If that is a position, even if it is truthful, it can be taken as a threat or bribe and presented in that way.

What they should have done was to seperate these issues out.

Tell all the clubs that league place money cannot be distributed until the league ends.

Then vote on the single issue that “We can call the league ended in mid-April” or “we can vote again on the same issue in Mid-May”

I think I am picking up Tiny Tim’s concerns- has Doncaster messed up deliberately or in anger at the ibrox club and actually given them a genuine reason to suspect bias? I may be dead wrong on this but why create a sense of urgency on concluding this business and then allow clubs to miss voting deadlines? Doesn’t make sense, if those facts are true.

  8. Unless the Huns have actual evidence the SPFL have acted improperly, they have no case and are moon howling. The other clubs they speak of will be Hearts, Stranraer, Partick and possibly Dundee. If Dundee have broken ranks, the huns are trying to bring the house down. Or they are acting on behalf of Dundee.

My guess is the game will close ranks on them and Doncaster will remain in position.

If the hun had evidence you can bet it would be out there, away back to my day job.

    stayhomeateastercsc.

  10. So an un named whistle blower ( maybe a Ref) has alerted the Huns ???

i cant wait to hear McCoist DEMANDING to know the name of the so called whistle blower…then again I wont be holding my breath for that one to happen.

Again..the sheer HYPOCRISY from the Huns in their latest statement wanting “Clarity and Transparency”…this Hun mob must be Raging every minute of every day…its got to be their main goal in life…We, We We…The Victims again !

    PATHETIC Huns.

I hope that Doncaster and angry enough and has the Balls to take this Mob on big time…and expose them for what they are…then again IF he somehow became a ” Whistle Blower” ( Res12 etc), and how Sevco were helped in every way by the SFA/SPL etc…then again he would probably be sticking himself in also , and the Huns know that ?

‘What they should have done was to separate these issues out.’

Dundee were complaining yesterday that the SPFL resolution only considered sporting merit. The issue between sporting merit and money was separated, on paper at least.

  12. The Blogger Formerly Known As GM on

What are the Huns moaning about now?

Are they lining up scapegoats as administration approaches?

  13. SFTB

    Also…

‘I fear that Doncaster has created a legitimacy to their spurious claims of victimhood by stating- “no way can funds be released until you vote to end the season”. If that is a position, even if it is truthful, it can be taken as a threat or bribe and presented in that way.’

I understand that is a clear legal position. It is season ending prize money. Budge and the Huns want the rules changed to suit them.

  14. 3 most anti celtic clubs in scotland are rangers hearts and falkirk been to all there grounds hate us with a passion so go and fet to feck hail hail

    SFTB,

The “deadline” is in 28 days.

But, I agree, the SPFL have made a complete arse of this and gave the rotten mob room to maneuver, The simplest and probably easiest way to resolve issues was to offer all clubs the minimum prize money for their league until consensus on completion is reached.

  16. There is one club who can clear up all this rumour and counter rumour – Dundee.

They can say If they voted and which way they voted. Whatever their intentions/vote was at 5pm yesterday if the vote was cast it should remain the way it was cast, whether it was received or not. If Dundee want sporting integrity then they need to come clean.

If they e-mailed the vote it will still be recorded in their sent box – time and date.

  17. CANAMALAR IT LOOKS LIKE OCD OBSESSION on 11TH APRIL 2020 5:07 PM

SPFL have already given clubs an advance on the April money. Its worth noting that 32 clubs have supported the resolution and Dundee have chosen to hold it up for petty reasons.

  21. Another website is supposed to have got hold of an SPFL response to the latest Sevco statement-

I cannot copy it but it states it is from Murdo McLennan and says:-

“It is extremely concerning that Rangers have chosen to make a number of serious accusations against the SPFL, its corporate governance, its office-bearers and its business operations.

In the often heated atmosphere of Scottish Football, rumour and misinformation can very quickly reach fever-point. However, allegations of a lack of even-handedness and fair play go to the very integrity of the league and I would expect Rangers interim Chairman, Douglas Park to present compelling evidence to back up his claims, or withdraw them.

I anticipate that the SPFL Board will convene early next week to discuss a wide variety of issues and I will be writing to Mr. Park asking him to urgently communicate any and all information he possesses in order that the Board can take whatever steps are necessary”

I have no idea if this is a genuine letter or a bit of misinformation but I’d prefer if the SPFL made a unified response rather than individuals chipping away as individuals.

Thanks Gene, but that doesn’t bother me so long as it doesn’t affect Celtic. I would be more concerned if Canamalar’s suspicions proved correct.
