You’re making Whyte look silly

1334

When asked if the £33m he claimed to have lodged for the purchase of Rangers, was “Your own money from your own personal wealth?” in today’s Scotland on Sunday (SoS), Craig Whyte told the newspaper, “Yes, that was done as far back as November 2010.”  Perhaps not the most useful information to put into the public domain during divorce proceedings.

I think every single one of you who referred to Craig Whyte as a billionaire, or the cheeky “MBB” (Motherwell born billionaire) owes him an apology.  While Hero Whyte didn’t deny he was a billionaire he told SoS he doesn’t “talk about [his]personal wealth to anybody” and that those of you who make continual references to his considerably wealth are “making [him]look silly”.

Let’s be clear, this man does not need you to make him look silly.  Please desist and apologise.

  1. I don’t agree that NewCo should automatically get the vacant place in Division 3.

    Why should they?

If anything they could be allowed to play in a knockout competition with other contenders for the vacant spot.

If there were only four teams interested, for example, a mini-league could setup for them all to play each other.

The winning team, not necessarily NewCo, would get the vacant place on merit.

    Makes sense to me

I think with the prospect of delivering wins and 3 points every week that the loyal will still stay very loyal. The away grounds will be filled to capacity every week. I wouldn´t be surprised to see temporary scaffolding stands like we saw at Peterhead being raised for the huns visiting being authorised by chairman around the country. In fact there is a business waiting to happen. A bit like the shows or the circus. Some scaffolding company travelling every few days to erect a temporary stand.

If they dont then it might not actually make them any profit.

‘How much more would the SFL teams have to play for policing costs if Newco was to happen ?’

The SFL could make it a condition of entry that the newco huns pay for any increase in police costs.

Was yesterday a foretaste of things to come? Rangers a very poor second, at Home, to a mid-table SPL team? If so, will it gradually become less enjoyable or will we enjoy seeing just how low the crowd figure goes?

    I don’t think I’d lose any enjoyment.

Ultimately I want them gone, their full and final demise. Perhaps their demise is better sooner rather than later, their hatred will manifest as long as “it’s” alive and kicking.

I’ve watched their behaviour for four decades, it’s not changed one iota: Barcelona to Manchester; SFA machinations to tax evasion; right through to their heinous campaign to tarnish Mr Stein’s memory.

They will not change, they bizarrely believe their practices and intolerance is right.

Their demise is the ultimate, full and final victory for all Celtic supporters.

    Good piece.

I don’t think Celtic need Rangers. I don’t think Scottish football needs Rangers. I do however think that many within and associated with Scottish football THINK they need RFC.

Reagan and various media puppets FEAR for their personal future and are confusing this with the needs of Scottish Football/ Celtic/ Scottish Society .. All of whom will be better off without the millstone.

Here’s hoping that there is £240k compensation due to the Swedes – if Celik put them into administration there would be something almost poetic in it.

However, why would he be able to get international clearance if the compensation issue had not been cleared up? Even out of contract, would the Swedish FA not have to release papers to the SFA? Would the compensation issue not already have been agreed?…

I’m not convinced any newco will be allowed straight back in anyway.

  11. Who’d a thunk a fitba player able to use the word “misinterpreted” and not even in his first language.

My interpretation of what Cellik has stated is “I have joined a shower of charlatans….get me out of here.”

But then again maybe I am misinterpreting him.

I don’t believe anybody is fully paid up. From the pie stalls to the gas and electric. Rangers are struggling to pay the smallest of fees. Craig Whyte is almost as crazy as our former board when giving it the everything is fine and we have a plan lines. We have heard it all before and still Rangers fans do nothing. It’s crazy but they just don’t have the same passion as us. They are clueless and are happy to watch their team go down the tubes because A – They have too much dignity. B – It won’t be allowed to happen.

It is happening and I am going to enjoy every second of their pain. I watched us win the league in 1986 & 1988 and then had to wait until I was 20 to see another. I hardly missed a game through their 9-in-a-row. I will take great pleasure in watching them go under after the years of goading. The Celtic support at the weekend was outstanding. Any group of fans up and down the country watching that would have been impressed.

    Liverpool fans to conga tonight?

Wonder what they’d make of the performance of the huns yesterday? truly laughable.

  15. don’t normally put on the ‘paranoia’ bunnet but found yesterday’s game on the bbc iplayer ( it’s still there if you want a laugh).

Anyway , 2 points of note.

Around 87 mins of regular play (1hr56 of the iplayer programme) , Edu goes in for a challenge in the centre circle . It’s nothing other than out and out thuggery that wouldn’t be out of place in WWE – he leads with a flying elbow and then proceeds to roll about as though injured (do they teach that?) until it’s obvious that he’s not being carded.

A couple of minutes later , Lacny , who’s just come on , collides with McGregor resulting in McGregor berating Lacny for his recklessness . Unfortunately for the bold drinking companion of Thommo , replays show that he went in with an extended (off the floor) leg – an outfield player going in like that would have been shown straight red.

So , my question is , can Edu’s challenge be highlighted to a certain Mr Vincent Lunny ?

I agree. They detest us more than anyone. I suspect it’s because Hibs are so bad. There is a sinister element to their support and there will be even more than usual this week as the Rangers fans are hurting. They will be in attendance with their mates.

It’s not uncommon in Livingston and the east for Hearts and Rangers fans to attend each others matches and even change teams back and forward. I know two guys who have changed from Rangers to Hearts twice and back again. They go to Tynecastle when we are there and when they play Hibs.

    ————————————————————————–

Here’s a thought from’ left field.’ It’s agreed that Ibrox has no real value other than as a football ‘stadium.’ The same can’t be said about Tyncastle – a potential development gold mine. Would it be outwith the bounds of reality that Romanov might buy Ibrox in a firesale and move west? He might lose most of William’s cousins, but could pick up at least the toxic element at Mordor. The combined players would make a half decent team to start with. Maybe thoughts from a different universe, but that bampot is capable of anything.

They may not yet be deceased but are surely just Cheyne-Stoking at the moment.

I am sure if you look to the South West of Glasgow a circle of vultures (okay maybe just Kesterls) can be seen circling the sky almost in a holding pattern waiting to swoop down on the carrion.

The Jambo’s would be gutted to move from Edinburgh. They are the dignity bearers of the East. They harp on about being the club from the capital and all their history and pride and all that tosh. Romanov would be taking a massive gamble but it wuld not surprise me. Their were rumours that they may move out to Livingston.

Could we see a restructuring in Scottish football like never before. Teams merging and reducing the numbers in the professional leagues. I think the numbers of teams should be reduced anyway.

Between 20 and 30 top clubs should be in the SPL/SFL and the rest should be in regional sub leagues with promotion and relegation. It would create a pyramid system that would suit everyone. It would also be a timely benefit for the HUN. It would ensure they move up the leagues quicker. I can see this type of restructure happening. The SFA will do everything they can to ensure Rangers (Newco) don’t languish down the leagues for longer than they have to.

Does anybody have any idea whether there’s a Celtic Convention on in Santa Ponsa this summer? It’s been mentioned once or twice by a few of my mates, but can’t seem to find anything to confirm it. Reason I’m asking is me and the woman will be in Palma Nova around the dates suggested it may be held.

When a bankrupt and financially corrupt Fiorentina were sent down to Serie C in 2002 , 2 things happened ——

1 ——— there was a huge increase in the Newco’s away support

2 ——— Large numbers of small town Italians who rarely [if ever ] went to support their local team turned up to watch the minnows playing [ and hopefully beating ] the big city giants
