You insane, insulting and illogical low intellect rabble

364

I admit to some admiration for the Daily Record which today came out with an outstanding article on the integrity and honest which inspires their values.  A truly inspirational piece, although somewhat undermined by an angry, if entertaining, rant against social networking sites and football forums, which are apparently characterised by “insane, insulting and illogical.. messages”, with a “lack of intellect”.

It’s good to see they don’t take themselves too seriously.

We also got the most rewarding argument to justify the accusation that Celtic “reneged” on an agreement to pay Rangers ticket money in advance of this month’s game at Ibrox.  The Record state that Celtic agreed to pay in advance as long as Rangers were not in administration (Celtic may tell a different story), which Rangers now are.  However, as Rangers issued an invoice for the tickets before going into administration, the Record argue that Celtic have, in fact, reneged as their payment didn’t reach Rangers before the administration date, 40 days in advance of the game.

They decline to claim evidence that paying more than 40 days before the game was part of the agreement, but with a startling command of intellect and logic, overlook this fact when claiming “the agreement must still have been broken”.

Don’t even try to figure this one out, it is logic way above your intellect.  It remains to be seen if it has outfoxed Celtic.

The newspaper cites conversations between Rangers staff to back up their story.  No wonder that lot ended up in such a state.  Don’t think this is a concerted effort to undermine your football team, you might feel that way, but, again, it’s a problem with your intellect. A shout out to anyone in the Swindon area. There is a Charity ‘ An Evening with John Hartson’ at Swindon Town FC on Thursday 22nd March 7pm. Price is £15 per ticket which includes supper, comedian and auction including Celtic items. Proceeds go to Great Western Hospital Breast Cancer Unit.

Spoke to the organiser last night who said she contacted him as he was a friend of a friend. She said he could not have been more accomodating and willing to help the unit. Speaks volumes for the guy.

Would be good to show BBJ the Celtic support in the area. If interested you can contact me through Paul67, who will forward you my email.

Paul67 – do we really care what the DR says? There credibility went a very very long time ago – free publicity – I would not have given them any.

  7. The Honest Cover-up on

Surely the best way to end this boring episode that Traynor refuses to let go is for Lawwell to ban him from Celtic Park. Would a single Celtic supporter across the world object?

I failed to realise, mind you, that all the lawyers, accountants, doctors, business owners, political activists and students that post here every day were in fact of a “low intellect”. I think I’ll go and buy the Daily Record and some other comic books. Perhaps the high brow reading material will help me raise my game.

  8. Over on FF its almost jelly and ice cream all round, they are convinced the one month pay reduction scheme by the players is a sign that a new ‘whyte knight’ is waiting in the wings, ready to move in and save them by the month end.

    Bless!

  9. I’m sure (99%) i read somewhere that the final payment for the Hearts player Wallace, isn’t actually due till June this year.

So at the moment Hearts are not due any money, however they will be come June 2012.

Doing some thinking about rangers(in administration) and am I right in saying that Duff and Phelps have been there 3 weeks and done NOTHING so far to cut costs, they cannot even make the decision as to which staff are getting sacked.

was Craig Whyte who rushed these guys in to thwart HMRC appointing an administrator. All we have heard from them is chasing this up, can’t find that out, still analyzing data. The only people to leave have been Smith and Russell and when you look at the headlines they were made ‘redundant’ which implies a pay off.

Is it just me or are they dragging their heels long enough to get rangers liquidated which plays right into CRAIGWHYTECSC hands.

    ———————————————————————————————

They are dragging their heels cos they are on £600 an hour. simple as that. Let’s face it liquidation is inevitable. You know it, I know it, the man in the moon knows it. There are no future income streams worth talking about. And for that the tax case is irrelevant in whether they liquidate or not. . But as long as they can delay the death , then the more money they make and the more fun we have.

Dignity FC you have done yourself up like a kipper, jumped in the frying pan and Craigy bhoy and his administrator team are cooking you on a nice slow gas.

Technically yes if not due payment until June 2012 but still a creditor in terms of accounts as there will be a contingent liability in the books for the amount owed. If liquidated before June 2012, Hearts would still be entitled to that money (or whatever share is available following sale of assets.)

    Paul67 –

    Another succinct piece.

When it comes to irresponsibility no one can touch the tabloid press, and the Daily Record has a shameful history in this regard.

At a time when Rangers fans are doing what they do best, blaming everybody other than themselves for the mess they are in, and looking to lash out – the Daily Record is stirring up further hatred just ahead of the next Glasgow derby.

Jim Traynor and his ilk are in the business of antagonising people and will not be satisfied until they have more blood on their hands, which they most certainly will in the next few weeks because of their agenda.

They have learned nothing from the Neil Lennon episode and the part they played in demonising our manager to the point where he and others were sent parcel bombs. There were at least three previous incidents involving Lenny which should have led to the media taking more responsibility, but instead they continued to stir-up the hatred and then feigned outrage when lunatics started posting explosives.

Thankfully, the tabloid press are on borrowed time – just like Rangers (In Administration).

Fantastic work from you these past few weeks. Thanks for keeping us so well informed. Hope you`ve enjoyed your jelly and ice cream. A quick question. How long do you think HMRC are going to sit back before taking action to have duffer and duffer removed from this process ? I have no doubt they will be watching things unfold, or not, as seems to be the case. Was just wondering as things have long since passed a joke with these idiots.

No doubt the Daily Record will be telling us that they figured David Murray was a scheister all along, with Jim Traynor exclaiming that he suspected that it was mutton dressed as lamb washed down with a bottle (or two) of cheap plonk!

Journalistic integrity at Record? As Groucho Marx might have asked, surely that is a contradiction in terms?

  23. How much does it cost to stage a football match?

Police costs, electricity costs (if night game, floodlights don’t come for free), stewards costs etc etc

Croke Park in Dublin holds 83,000 and I’ve heard it said that it needs an attendance in the region of 25,000-30,000 just to break even due to the costs of staging a game.

Ibrox might not be so bad but even say 10,000 is needed to break even, that means 40,000 x £20 (as unlikely anyone would pay more for a friendly) = £800k. Split in 2 is £400k each. hardly going to keep the wolves at bay for very long.
