Whyte’s criminal trial, 5088 and the Summer of Love

390

There are two types of people you don’t want to mess with, those with enormous resources, and those with so little going for them, they have nothing to lose. It doesn’t matter how self-righteous you feel, if you go to battle against either, you will likely end up a loser.

You and I agree that Mike Ashley is one of the last people you would want with an undue influence on your football club, but Mike is not a guy you do battle with. He’s simply too powerful, too rich, with too many good lawyers to stand a hope against.

On the opposite end of the scale, you have Our Hero, Craig Whyte, who pitched up at Glasgow High Court this morning, for his trial in connection with his purchase of Rangers in 2011, prior to the clubs descent into liquidation a year later.

The Great Football Swindle was not a one-man job, but Craig is the only man in the dock. He has nothing to lose, no friends to protect and no reason to respect discrete courtesies.

Rangers’ administrators, Duff and Phelps, entered into an irrevocable contract to sell the club’s assets to Sevco 5088 Ltd during the Summer of Love (2012), a company which Whyte claims a controlling interest in. Those assets were, however, sold to Sevco Scotland Ltd, later renamed The Rangers Football Club Ltd (and sitting third in the Scottish Premiership).

That transaction has been disputed since, and four years ago yesterday, Newco Rangers founder, Charles Green, announced his intention to resign, after Craig Whyte revealed he was a director of Sevco 5088 Ltd, a company publicly represented by Green at the time it entered into a contract with Rangers’ administrators.

Evidence revealed at this criminal trial will be of enormous interest to many.

Oh, and the ‘Our Hero’ thing, Craig Whyte is no one’s hero, I’m mocking those who treated him as such when they should have worked to protect their club. He was a very transparent exploiter.

No doubt the Huns will try and exploit the situation hoping we break the silence and also to keep the continuity myth alive. Celtic should object as Ugo played for a different club. No disrespect to Ugo.

    GLOVE STORY

A young man wanted to buy a present for his girlfriend’s birthday and as they hadny been winching long he decided after careful consideration, that a pair of gloves would be nice, thoughtful but not too personal.

Accompanied by his girlfriend’s sister he went to Debenhams and bought a dainty pair of white gloves.

The sister purchased a pair of pants for her self at the same time. During the wrapping, the shop assistant mixed up the items, the sister got the gloves and the young man got the panties.

Without checking the contents the man sent the parcel to his girlfriend with the following note….

    Dear Hazel,

I chose these because I noticed that you were not in the habit of wearing any when you go out in the evenings.

If it had not been for your sister I would have chosen the long ones with the buttons, but she wears the short ones that are easier to remove.

These are a delicate shade, the shop assistant that I bought them from showed me the pair she had been wearing for the last three weeks and they were hardly soiled at all.

I had her try yours on for me, and although they were a little tight they looked really smart.

She told me that the material helps keep her ring clean and shiny, in fact she hasn’t had to wash it since she began wearing them.

I wish I could put them on for you as, no doubt many other hands will touch them before I have the chance to see you again. Just think how many times my lips will kiss them in the coming year. I hope you will wear them for me on Friday night.

When you take them off, remember to blow into them before putting them away

as they will naturally be a little damp from wearing.

    All my love Harry.

P.S The latest style is to wear them folded down with a little fur showing

  8. What I am about to post may cause some Celtic fans on here to be rather upset and angry with me ? However, NOT ONLY It is only my opinion, but for those who will no doubt disagree, please remember that numerous Celtic supporters for years ( including myself), are sick to the back teeth of the BLATANT CHEATING OF MATCH OFFICIALS and THE UNPUNISHED HUN THUGGERY, which tends to happen when Celtic play THEM, although that cheating and thuggery in Celtic matches is not exclusive to matches against THEM ( Garners serial assaults on any opposition players for example).

On here and throughout the Celtic family worldwide we have ALL wished ( at one time or other ), for Celtic FC to STAND UP to the “Blatant Cheating & Thuggery”, and actually take ACTION ?

This semi final on Sunday against The Hun, may well provide us with yet another opportunity to CELTIC FC to FINALLY take DECISIVE ACTION, especially when the world is watching, and the large TV audience ?

Here goes, My proposal is thus…….” Should Celtic ( yet again) be the victims of Blatant Cheating by officials and/or by Hun players or coaching staff, and likewise when The Hun begins to indulge themselves in attempting to ruin Celtic players career’s with ANY unpunished Thuggery….then I would love to see Brendan take the Celtic team OFF THE PITCH in protest ?

I would love Brendan and the Board to be in total agreement about this “ACTION/PROTEST” BEFORE a ball….or a Celtic player is kicked. Brendan would then been seen to be following the instructions of The Celtic Board, by instructing the players to walk off the pitch in protest.

This may at first glance rather “Drastic”, and also why would we wish to hand THEM a 3-0 victory, and a place in the cup final, which no doubt the feckin SFA would impose, should Celtic walk off in protest ?

My own personal feeling is that “Enough is Enough”, who needs this Scottish Cup when Celtic are being cheated and booted all over the pitch , yet again ?

Many of us will remember the shocking decisions of a previous Celtic Board back in 1967, who FINED Celtic players for defending themselves against the thuggery of Racing Club ?

Celtic FC MUST stand up for our club and employees.

I have not came to this opinion lightly, as I for one would love to see The Celts hammer those bastards, DESPITE the blatant cheating and thuggery that MAY well occur this Sunday, but as I said, “Enough is Enough” !

To mention just a few examples recently, The non penalty award v THEM at Celtic Park, the thuggery of Ken Miller, the continuous thuggery of one J. Garner no matter who the opposition, The ASSAULTS on young Tierney and Paddy Roberts, the ASSAULTS by Jambo’s fans on Lustig, The TWO legal Celtic goals chalked off in the same game ( 5-0 game), and just last Sunday the penalty award, and red card for Broony v Ross County, not forgetting the fouls on Scott Brown that went unpunished.

I will leave it there for now fellow Celts, but please remember also that MANY of us have been screaming at Celtic FC to finally ” Do Something”…..this Sunday’s match may well serve our purpose, as this Hun scum and The SMSM are at their MOST DESPERATE to STOP Celtic at ALL COSTS.

Let’s not leave our complaints etc until Monday morning and the possible aftermath of blatant cheating and thuggery….let Celtic FC make their PROTEST as it feckin HAPPENS !

Only my opinion Bhoys and Ghirls.

Hail, Hail to The Celtic, and all our Celtic Family.

    RIP Ugo Ehiogu.

  9. 50 shades of green on

  10. Bloody hell The Dortmund team bus bomber was a merchant *anker

BERLIN—Police believe a Russian-German man detained Friday for allegedly bombing the bus carrying one of Germany’s most prominent soccer teams had bought stock options ahead of the attack.

The 28-year-old suspect, identified as Sergej W., took out a loan on April 3 to finance the purchase of 15,000 “put options” in Borussia Dortmund, Germany’s top prosecutors said in a statement. The suspect would have profited if the soccer team’s share price had fallen in response to the attack on April 11.

“A massive fall in the stock of Borussia Dortmund would have brought a profit representing a multiple of the investment,” the prosecutor’s statement said. “A significant fall in the stock price would have been expected if after the attack players were seriously injured or even killed.”

Prosecutors believe the suspect also stayed in the same hotel the soccer team was using before its UEFA Champions League quarterfinal game against AS Monaco.

The man was taken into custody around the southwest German city of Tübingen on suspicion of several possible charges, including attempted murder, the prosecutor said.

The three explosives were hidden in a hedge and seriously injured one player. Officials said casualties could have been higher had the explosives been planted slightly differently.

Poor Donald Findlay was hung out to dry by Murray over the “community singing” ignominy. Murray will (one assumes) be called to provide evidence in the case for the Prosecution. There are a number of issues – for example who signposted Whyte to Ticketus,Rangers’ long standing cashflow provider – that remain to be determined. I’m sure Donald is all over it.

Likelihood is that Murray had little to do with the negos. This was a bank-induced disposal, Murray simply signed what was put in front of him. Whyte’s defence to the charge of fraud might well rest on the assertion that the vendor was not deceived at all.

Trusting that the above surmise doesn’t breach any court reporting rules.
