A number 10

936

A journalist friend in Norway tells me Jo Inge Berget is a traditional no. 10, not a striker. We need both. Kris Commons fills the creative roll almost exclusively, we need someone to share the burden, but we still need a strong, penalty box striker, who can stand up to the pressures of Champions League football.

Best of luck to Tony Watt, best of luck to Standard too, who I hear have put a lot of skin in his contract. Belgium should give him a better chance of fulfilling his potential than anywhere in the UK. It’s head down and work hard time.

  1. Strange I get a daily e-mail from Celtic marketing (shop or games) yet I haven’t got the survey either.

Jobo, did you report me for having Kev Jungle sit next to me, at the KSC do :-)

    Just dropped in

For anyone interested, CL first legs

    Sparta Praha 4 Р2 Malm̦ FF

    Slovan Bratislava 2 – 1 Sheriff

    Debrecen 1 – 0 BATE

BATE are seeded in final qualifying round and we can’t play them if we qualify.

Sheriff Tiraspol and Sparta Praha are seeded to be one of our 5 potential oppos and if Slovan or Malmö eliminate either, they take their seeding position.

    Squire,

All of those clubs should be defeated by Celtic. We have a good chance to progress but we certainly don’t help ourselves.

You are a strange one, as I’m sure you know it take one to know one.

I honestly can’t make the mind up about you, and that for me bugs the crap out of me.

One min you sound like a Tim, another you are like a Celtic man, the next you are a hun from the darkside.

I have swithered and swithered, and still none the wiser about you.

    Being a betting man, if I had to lump on for my life, I would put you somewhere in the middle, that’s what bothers me, and fair play to you for it, but I like you, I think >}

Keep it tight first 10/15 mins settle into the game and make sure not to concede. Have the three in the middle of park to try get control of the game. Then get the full backs bombing on. Keep griffiths right up thru the middle on shoulder of last defender.

  10. Ok Bhoys, I’m in Stonehouse (Gloucestershire) the morra night, any ideas where I can see the game ? (BMCUWP where are U)

Will happily drive to get to a venue nearby

  11. I understand (usual get out clause) that if we lose our tie to Legia we then enter the final qualifying round for the ole Europa. If we beat Legia we are then, at worst (if that’s the right term) qualified for the Europa and obviously potentially still in the Champions League. I think.

I will sit down to see it sometime soon…..promise!

I hope you don’t mind me saying but your other favourites do leave me a bit sceptical about your recommendation!

I did like So I married an axe murderer…..have only saw some of The Graduate and have never saw Awakenings so i am being a bit cruel……sorry!

The mood we are in, the girl we are with or the bevvy consumed can play its part in making a movie memorable and perhaps a favourite eh?

A couple of movies i always remembered for different reasons were firstly Black robe.

Sometimes there are a spate of similar movies and it was out around the same time as Christopher Columbus.

It is bleak but it seamed very realistic to me as to how a missionary’s journey probably was in those times.

Watched it on Youtube again earlier this year and i loved seeing it again……even though, as i said…..it is bleak!

Another 1 that stuck in my mind for years was watched again but without the benefit of Homemade Newcastle brown ale.

Rented it years ago when it was in the ole video shop on vhs.

Had cracked open my 1st bottle of homebrew while i was getting organised and sat watching all the trailers for other movies.

By the time the movie was starting the 2nd homebrew was cracked open and i was getting quite giggly.

Bottles 3 and 4 were consumed during the course of the movie and by then i was doubled up with laughter…….the movie was High Spirits.

This stuff had blew my head off and made the movie absolutely hilarious to me at that time yet when i put it on a few years ago…..somehow it was not as funny as i recalled.

Gladiator and Bladerunner are 2 of my favourites……and as mentioned as well…..Aliens…….eeeeek!

Loved True Romance……Tarantino’s finest moment imo and……if KevJ is not about……The Matrix.

  17. Has anyone had any problems with the fans survey?

I’m on the last question about improving your experience of being a Celtic supporter and have written a screed about having a football authority that applies its rules fairly and equally to all clubs – no sniggering at the back please – and its not accepting my post. I assume there’s a word limit. Anybody else had problems with the length of their comments?

Mad O’Rourkes-IIRC-is a Celtic pub in Gloucester, might be worth giving them a call beforehand. It’s about ten miles away. Also the pub beside the station is a right good sports bar,so you might be lucky.

    Yes, you’re correct about that.

On those expedition days, I think it would’ve spoiedl my breakfast, slightly, to be thinking about the other half standing outside the Galleries for their 9am opening. Especially if it was raining.
