A week for leaks

1020

This seems to be a week for leaks.  I hear one club recently refunded two investors to the tune of £500k each.  Don’t worry, it wasn’t Celtic, and I hear the club involved are one of the most financially secure in Britain.  I also hear the national broadcaster rejected a former presenter’s request to return to the fold.

Still nothing from the SFA, who were responsible for issuing associate membership to Newco Rangers, on the leak from the club’s board meeting that the Association expressed alarm that earlier information had leaked from chairman, Malcolm Murray.  Mr Murray recently instigated an investigation into the relationship between Craig Whyte and Charles Green, the nature of which could invalidate Newco’s associate membership.

Far from being alarmed at leaks, the SFA should be keen to see full disclosure.  Reports suggesting otherwise are alarming.  I am sure the SFA president has already demanded openness and clarity…….  Relax, standards of corporate governance at the SFA are as high as ever.

I am also sure the leak from Newco was not a shot across the SFA’s bows, providing a glimpse into what looks like some murky conversations which people at the Association could have much to lose from being exposed.

  1. Am I right in saying we signed Lassad on a Two year deal and Miku on a season loan last summer?

I was delighted about those signings when I looked up both their playing records. It just has not happened for either.

    Excellent , succinct post.

It displays a crass lack of dignity and class which are , strangely, qualities which the club they appear to support claim for themselves at every possible opportunity.

    Hypocrisy of the highest order.

You keep the faith, young man and you will beat this. Always in our thoughts. Really miss your forth-rite posts which really enjoyed. How many times did I ask you to stop beating about the bush and come to the point? Loved it.

seems so according to sevco supporters on the sevco blogs .

Think it was on the RM site some time last week .

I must admit to being shocked myself .

News just in …..sevco STs frozen due to the fact that Messi and Ronaldo have refused to become free agents this summer Super Sally expresses his disappointment at their decisions DR exclusive tomorrow

Sally TUPEd from Rangers to Sevco, so he is on the salary he was on at Rangers. He took over that former club when they were SPL champions (with hardly any cheating whatsoever, practically none) and were attempting to qualify for the Champions’ League.

Charles Green knew he needed Sevco to have deady bear faces so that Huns would cough up money for the Sevco coffers, so he TUPEd McCoist across, paying him an SPL champion club salary to run a team in SFL3. It sort of worked for one season because the Huns did go along with the great pretence and support Sevco well, but it just seems a ridiculous sum of money now.

That’s the trouble with TUPE. You have to take the rough with the smooth.

  7. Get Gary Caldwell on now Martinez! Guy doesnt know a player!!

So this summer would you have us trawl for another Miku and Lassad OR would you just get on with it and sign Russell and Griffiths?

Why would you not want get rid of the biggest threat to your income stream once and for all?

ffs like saying Tesco would never try and put Asda out of business.

    ******

……..because we have to balance our own books, based on our income v expenditure.

We are not supermarkets, selling the same stuff inthe one market place.

We are, or should be, a self contained business, with our own strategy and aims.

  9. Scharner is absolute pants. He should be watching from the stands. Can’t pass, can’t defend. 4-1 Arsenal

PF/TCC – as I said, Poyet isn’t ideal for Everton, but I’m hopeful. They would love another Moyes, with Malky being the obvious candidate. Funny that Coyle isn’t really in the betting. As Big Feck knows, your stock in England can fall quite sharply in a short space of time.

    4-1 Arsenal….!!!

I agree with most of your post .

Burley in particular is a right Baddun.

I have always been supportive of Provan , Murdo, and Walker.

In recent times that support has evaporated.

We are on the same page .

    You are spot on mate.

Obviously Miku will go back to his parent club.

I do think that Lenny has a lot of time for Lassaad . I have been reasonably impressed with him without going overboard.

Would like to see him with a full pre season under his belt.

    I wish them both well

We have just had an unprecedented windfall from the CL.

We can afford to put the boot in next season and ensure they never threaten us again.

If you ever open up a shop let me know, so I can get the one next door to you.

    Jonny the Tim,

I’m questioning a business decision. I am sure there is no question that the past is the past. These posts are monitored and I would not like to induce any legal action on the basis of a misunderstanding as to the tone of posts.

I am asking why invest now at an inflated rate and when a turnaround in fortunes looks as though it can only be supported by a change in the division the ‘remains’ play in.

I am also asking who sanctioned the pay off of Imran Khan and Charles Green for a total of £1m when their shares a currently worth a lot more and apparently they are locked in?

if we hark back to Bill Millers incubator quote I would say that the soul and the body are so far detached that they will never be joined together. (even though the SFA are doing their damdest with the big paddles on the operating table.)

Johnny Russell is a must in the summer. A Centre Half to compliment Charlie Mulgrew and a left winger to balance either Forrest or Brown.

  24. Gooners have skooshed this. Cup final win has affected Wigan and they will go down but fancy Martinez to make the Everton move now.

  25. Question ,I think Miku and Paddy are out of contract after Cup Final.and that Stokes & Rogne are also out but Celtic have an option of extending their contracts for a further year. Am I correct in this, and are there any other contracts up.
