A week for leaks

1020

This seems to be a week for leaks.  I hear one club recently refunded two investors to the tune of £500k each.  Don’t worry, it wasn’t Celtic, and I hear the club involved are one of the most financially secure in Britain.  I also hear the national broadcaster rejected a former presenter’s request to return to the fold.

Still nothing from the SFA, who were responsible for issuing associate membership to Newco Rangers, on the leak from the club’s board meeting that the Association expressed alarm that earlier information had leaked from chairman, Malcolm Murray.  Mr Murray recently instigated an investigation into the relationship between Craig Whyte and Charles Green, the nature of which could invalidate Newco’s associate membership.

Far from being alarmed at leaks, the SFA should be keen to see full disclosure.  Reports suggesting otherwise are alarming.  I am sure the SFA president has already demanded openness and clarity…….  Relax, standards of corporate governance at the SFA are as high as ever.

I am also sure the leak from Newco was not a shot across the SFA’s bows, providing a glimpse into what looks like some murky conversations which people at the Association could have much to lose from being exposed.

  1. Pedro…,

I’ll even pay the water charges.

    Asonofdan,

Why do we have to put the boot into them next season?

Will they be in the SPL?

From where I’m sitting, they are doing a good job of killing themselves, without us spending a penny.

Rogne, McCourt & Murphy (remember him?) are out of contract in the summer. Stokes has a one year option. Miku’s loan deal ends at the end of the season

I can see Stokes signing a new deal a couple of days before the Cup Final,he has a good record v Hibs.

    Actually there were 4.

    Other non clappers were:

No 33 Scobbie No 5 Wright No 8 MDavidson No17Mclean

Let’s not do a hunnish witch hunt on these St Johnstone players, we know where their allegiances lie. They are an irrelevence to us.

Ogilvie, Bryson, etc. is a completely different story! Keep the focus on the SFA…..!

I wonder if Cosgrove will mention it on Saturday? He used to refer to us as bead counters.

Mullet & Co – “Johnny Russell is a must in the summer.” Is he…why?!

If we don’t have better coming through the ranks, then we should be asking questions of Chris McCart, etc. don’t you think?

IMHO MacKay-Steven looks a better prospect.

  10. Doesn’t surprise me with Wright and Davidson not clapping. They showed in their performance on Saturday their true colours.

Davidson nailed a few hoops players and had a particularly nasty challenge on Izzy.

    Wright on Lustig.

Scobbie was just gash and substituted as he couldn’t catch any of our players to nail them.

They have all passed their Sevco trial and I’m sure Sally will tap them up soon in a totally compliant manner, according to the SFA , I’m sure!

    googy

Yipp. Fry mince till hot then add curry powder for flavour plate fork. Sorted!!!

  12. On seeing frazer wright standing with a stern face and hands firmly clenched behind his back, I heard that Anthony Stokes sidled over to him and said “Cheer up, it might be you next year!”

  13. Does anyone else feel sympathy for the poor Media House lackies that draft the press transfer stories for Dead Parrot FC these days?

I mean they used to get to write about how AC Milan or Real Madrid were interested in any player that was being flown in on a private jet for signing talks… and now they are reduced to talk of competition for signatures from MK Dons and Birmingham :)

And still no mention of a biscuit tin, possibly because they can’t afford one.

    QB

  14. Googy

Never made one but I remember getting it at school dinners many moons ago!

    No bad so it was

  15. If anyone is into the phone in thingy Cosgrove should questioned about the behaviour of those bangers

  16. Mullet and Co on

Was there ever any reprisal of the St Mirren info? I see that their players on loan from Newcastle. Newcastle were prepared to sign both again on new contracts but allow them to go on loan to St Mirren next season. With Mike Ashley as the 3rd largest shareholder at Rangers and St Mirrens vote in the restructure do we have some form of inducement?

Observing unsporting actions I do not consider a witch hunt,if it was good enough for our team and supporters at St Mirren, then its good enough for us to be recognised.

Regarding the SFA,Vincent Lunny was contacted by me Saturday night (no doubt many more did likewise)

Just as in refereeing the games all we want is an even application of rules and common manners..

  18. Another school dinner favourite…..spam fritters , chips and beans.

    Pure magic
