This seems to be a week for leaks. I hear one club recently refunded two investors to the tune of £500k each. Don’t worry, it wasn’t Celtic, and I hear the club involved are one of the most financially secure in Britain. I also hear the national broadcaster rejected a former presenter’s request to return to the fold.
Still nothing from the SFA, who were responsible for issuing associate membership to Newco Rangers, on the leak from the club’s board meeting that the Association expressed alarm that earlier information had leaked from chairman, Malcolm Murray. Mr Murray recently instigated an investigation into the relationship between Craig Whyte and Charles Green, the nature of which could invalidate Newco’s associate membership.
Far from being alarmed at leaks, the SFA should be keen to see full disclosure. Reports suggesting otherwise are alarming. I am sure the SFA president has already demanded openness and clarity……. Relax, standards of corporate governance at the SFA are as high as ever.
I am also sure the leak from Newco was not a shot across the SFA’s bows, providing a glimpse into what looks like some murky conversations which people at the Association could have much to lose from being exposed.

Not that this is the sole criteria for a good player – Russell has been good any time I have seen him and there is potential for much more.
MountblowTim, didn’t know it was your birthday, many happy returns.

Style of football and eight years inEPL with the smallest support of 12000 average in a Rugby League town that won the FA Cup,

33 Tam Scobie and 5 Frazer Wright.I can’t identify the 2 on the other side.
Curiously, they are the 5 at the end of the row. The first 5 plus the Keeper applauded.
Martinez 7/4 from 10/3 in last 5 minutes.Championship no good to him and he will leave them with a trophy.

Happy birthday, you share one with Mrs TET.
Talking of mince currys, had one yesterday, Mrs TET makes a mean curry, it’s called a Keema if I recall.
billy bhoy-is St J keeper not from Norn Iron?

Russell to CP
Mc.Geoch on loan to DU. He won’t get the necessary first team exposure at CP.
Aulheid, regarding your thoughts on boycotting William hills:
If there was an effort to get fans of all clubs to get involved I really think this could work.
What about spreading it on twitter @williamhills and @sfa or whatever their bat signs are, with a #boycott. I’m sure if this was getting flashed up to HQ it would get the ball rolling before the boycott took place.
Either that or they would offer irresistible odds that week and we could all clean up and move into a big house in Cumbernauld together.

Good moves for all concerned. Would offer Jackie Mac a few of our youngsters as part of any deal for Russell &/or Mackay-Steven.
ttt
Good shout re Mc Geoch, his playing time will be limited at CP, a season of first team football will do him the power of good.
Googy..,
All my currys are mince, I was told to try cyanne pepper but decided to call it a day

Martinez has only been in charge for four years …stats were posted above
His league positions have been substantially worse than his predecessor
Don’t buy the Martinez love in …although the cup win is a big achievement
excathedra44 – our club took the decision to applaud St Mirren onto their park following their League Cup win. It was very sporting, but I don’t remember us doing that in recent seasons for other clubs.
I don’t know who decided that St Johnstone should give us a guard of honour on Saturday, but if certain players don’t want to applaud, then that’s up to them.
Would we have expected our players to provide a guard of honour for a league winning Huns team?!

——–
If it is the unfailing practice of a league that the league winning team is applauded onto, the pitch then 100% yes.
Failure to do so would be crass and petty. We’re bigger than that.
Ask yourself this – what would TB ask his players to do in those circumstances?
TTTT
stop being obtuse
The StJ players were ill behaved mannerless cretins and deserve criticism
Keema is best with minced lamb and peas
My liking for mince curry with penne is helped by mixing the curry right into the pasta. . The penne fills with curried mince and it’s brilliant.
A few slices of garlic ciabatta bread and a bottle of kingfisher …. Mamma Ghandi ;)
the long wait – and I could just see them reciprocating!!
You’ll have to excuse me, I’ve got an appointment on planet Earth!

We can agree to disagree.
Winning rhe Cup is no mean feat.
I think he will go on and manage a better team successfully .
Time will tell.
Evening folks,
Regarding the guard of honour, seem to remember it was a common occurrence in the 70’s. (But seem to remember it was only for a league win not cups)
Some of the senior guys on here able to confirm?
