One of the problems of doing your business discretely is that if and when agents or selling clubs publicise your interest in their player, media attention has a tendency to attribute too much focus on the most recent name revealed. Teemu Pukki is a player Celtic have been trailing for some months but the fact that his agent yesterday revealed their interest is no indication that he enjoys any pre-eminence over others strikers being considered. If anything, briefings from the agent are an indication of the opposite.
Reports yesterday that Pukki is backup in case a bid for Finnbogason fails are also wide of the mark; this is not the active path Celtic are working on. There are (at least) two other strikers under consideration, neither of whom have directly or indirectly leaked the discussions.
Nothing sells media adverts like transfer ‘news’, which is fair enough, but news is easier to find than the actual story. This is a ‘no news’ article, the easiest of all. No panicking in the back…

The lack of numbers makes the decision to allow Irvine to go on loan to Killie all the more strange. Why not keep him until after the CL tie??
So that he’s in peak condition for the last 16 of CL?
HH
Some interesting decisions for the manager today perhaps – depends on who is fit and who will be saved for Tuesday. A morale boosting victory before heading east will do nicely.

Sorted
Who is up for a Mackenzie challenge today?
£5 for every goal no matter what team scores? In the event of a nil nil result– a deemed 3-0 away win!!!
I know funds are short guys– but her life could be shorter!
If you go to the petition page and read the comments it is truly shocking how many people know someone with this disease and even worse when you read the comments of parents whose children did not make it through.
PS Oscar started chemo and is back tweeting that he is fighting back!
A Papal knighthood would just confirm to the sevcovians that the unseen fenian hand was behind all this as they believe.
So Yes!
In our thoughts and prayers, Oscar & Mackenzie

There are plenty of good cafes in o’connell st area. But if you don’t mind a short walk to graftan st, Bewleys is good.
At a race night and the horse I bid for won the auction race.
Yep ‘Ally Must Stay’ romped home by two lengths.
Trocadero is good suggestion for dinner. Also most restaurants in theatre district do some great pre-theatre deals. If you don’t mind dining a little earlier.
Virginmedia are allowing all customers access to sky sports free today from 06:00am until midnight on channel 123
Picture on Sevcomedy of Bayern Munich captain shaking hands with Hun before a game at Snake Mountain. Speculation over who the German is and what kind of handshake is being practised:
“is it not a young frank beckanbaur”
——
“Is there a Lodge Munich?”
——
“I was very surprised to meet many German brothers in Queens, New York some years ago. Although the work was done in English, many of the brethren spoke German in the harmony afterwards.”
The live updates article will be up at 12:00, could someone leave a note here?
Thanks.

If McColl takes over Sally will be replaced as manager. It will be done diplomatically but he will be replaced.
I suspect Green will get ‘booted out of Ibrox’ very publicly so the current regime get some Brownie points and a bit more time from the hun hordes. He’ll still be calling the shots though.
At this stage it’s all about the present owners negotiating a price with the prospective owners and their approach seems to be ‘pay us what we want or the puppy gets shot.’

Spending a a few nights in Dublin in Sept at the Greshham Hotel on O’Connell St on a room only basis. Can Any of you guys suggest somewhere nearby for a good Irish breakfast and good eateries for dinner. One of our party is in a wheelchair,so we don’t want to walk to far. Thanks in advance!
……………………………………………………………………………………………….
I always take my family to the Avoca cafe which is just at the bottom of Grafton Street (Suffolk Street). It might be a bit too far to walk though especially if it is raining!
Any progress on the green brigade section ?
Did i read yday that this schalke player is higher up the list of wanted players than finnbogasson ??
Y is he ?
Think we have signed good players in window but we needed another striker before hooper left..now we need 2.
Wayne Biggins was ‘stocky’!
Ekeren away from 1991…

CQN Saturday Naps Competition
Lads, for those who are in the CQN Saturday Naps competition, please go back and post today’s selection at the end of the previous article :
“Sale and leaseback, Ibrox, Murray Park, Albion”
All the best, fleagle1888
morning folks . what a garbage day for a variety of reasons. hope the weather improves and we get a good result. i was also wondering if anyone had the league code for the fantasy league, as i want to show off my managerial skills to all you also rans.
celtic board again getting hard time because celtic turned a profit and have not reinvested. no mention of the 6 -7 million spent on new players in or the million or so spent on improving the stadium. we are clearly trying to sign a quality young striker, but not at any cost.
if celtic pay out large sums of money to shareholders, bonuses, don’t sign another striker and fail to secure the funds required to start 1st phase of celtic triangle, I think we’ll all be looking for answers, right now its unfair to cast judgement given the income generated.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
celtic must accept our futures in Scotland. celtic must work hard with all spfl clubs.
please avoid playing any team 4 times a season in the league (kills competition). i’d opt for a 16 team league.
premiership (16 x 2 = 30 games)
top 2 gain euro spots (3, 4,5,6 enter euro playoffs)
play relegation off (11, 12, 13, 14 )
automatically relegated (15 -16 )
championship 14 x 2 = 22 (7/7 split x 2 = 12 # total 36 games)
top 2 (promoted)
3 and 4 (enter promotion playoffs)
play relegation off (11,12,13,14 )
relegated (15, 16)
football league – 12
add a start of season regionalalised league cup group section (for t.v. income) and to compensate for loss of games in premiership.
maybe clubs like Aberdeen, hearts, hibs and Dundee united will be able to build up some consistency, win more games be more competitive and build up greater support, generating more income and being able to develop their teams and clubs

Plenty of taxis in Dublin with wheelchair access. Concierge at gresham should be able to order one for you no problem.

Cafe Kylemore is just a minutes walk along O’Connell Street on the same side. I often stay in Dublin for work and always have breakfast there. It’s busy but spacious and very good value.
Here are some revues:
