One of the problems of doing your business discretely is that if and when agents or selling clubs publicise your interest in their player, media attention has a tendency to attribute too much focus on the most recent name revealed. Teemu Pukki is a player Celtic have been trailing for some months but the fact that his agent yesterday revealed their interest is no indication that he enjoys any pre-eminence over others strikers being considered. If anything, briefings from the agent are an indication of the opposite.
Reports yesterday that Pukki is backup in case a bid for Finnbogason fails are also wide of the mark; this is not the active path Celtic are working on. There are (at least) two other strikers under consideration, neither of whom have directly or indirectly leaked the discussions.
Nothing sells media adverts like transfer ‘news’, which is fair enough, but news is easier to find than the actual story. This is a ‘no news’ article, the easiest of all. No panicking in the back…

canny believe that was over 20 years ago….one of the best trips ever…..
proudbhoy
the brazen’s loss is doire’s gain..just hop they send him, coach and big sean back in one piece.
Sky Sports free today on Sky 2 channel 121 inc Man U v Swansea at 5pm
Telbhoy67,Murrays bar and grill,on same block as the hotel on top of O’Connell St,good food and live music at night, also the Kingfisher at the top of Parnell St,lovely breakfast..and dinner..
Masty I was not there as the Lioness would not let me go.. Just txt my mate who was there to say it looked brilliant. He also said it was a great trip. Im now wishing I was going on Tuesday.
The dreadful legacy of White Lightning as it affects Sevcomedians:
“There are some things that should never be touched or tampered with; Bach’s “St. Matthew’s Passion”, Tim Horton’s coffee, the King James Bible …………….. and the royal blue shirt of Rangers. Please note: Barcelona regarded their camisa as a price “beyond rubies” and refused sponsorship for years. And us? We sullied the shirts with c.r. smith, mcewan’s lager etc. etc. down through the years. Maybe one day we’ll be proud enough to decline the highest bidder and stay strong. Sorry if this offends younger bears.”
I know that ‘will we sign, won’t we sign has been done to death here.
What I cannot understand about transfer window charade is why PL even puts his toe in the water of markets where we are simply going to get out bid.

earlier that day, massive riot police presence as spurs had rioted in Antwerp the night before, less than an hour later their batons were away, shields down and helmets off getting pictures taken with the 5k celtic support, got some great stories of that day, way too long for here, but for those who know james (spenny) spencer from the gorbals, the was a tale of him falling down the brewer’s stank on top of the 3 drymen, carnage it was.
Telboy
I agree with Beamish. The Kylemore is literally just a few yards up the street from The Gresham. Cracking brekie and very reasonable. For dinner, a lot of great early bird deals in Dublin if you can dine before 7pm. Trocadero is great if a bit pricey. Salamanca is next door and has a great Tapas menu if u like Spanish food. If u like good Italian food at a very reasonable price Little Caesars just opposite The Westbury Hotel, the early bird is 12.95 Euro. Cead mile failte Telboy and enjoy your stay! I’m a nordie living down in Dublin this 15 years and love the place. Hope u enjoy it too!
Marti
Thanks guys for all your suggestions re eateries in Dublin. Much appreciated! Hail Hail!

I haven’t scrolled back too far this morning. Pardon the pun, but looking at the overnight news is it gonna be a case of Tiocfaidh ar Pukki?

Who is driving?
Very nice day in Northern Netherlands, just sitting on the balcony of the apartment drinking coffee whilst being serenaded by the local church bells playing a collection of Beatles numbers. All I need to round off a good day is a Celtic (injury free) win
Come on ye Bhoys in Green
SOAL
My wee cousin.
I’m in the hoose (injured).
SOAL
No me and that wee part timer is in the house!

Ha ha what great memories i have of that trip.
I was behind the goal as well and remember how friendly it all was.
I had also forgotten just how bad Cascarino was. He always shot straight at the keeper.
At the end of the game on that clip on 10.02 i thought Mike Galloway was speaking perfect flemish.

Spending a a few nights in Dublin in Sept at the Greshham Hotel on O’Connell St on a room only basis. Can Any of you guys suggest somewhere nearby for a good Irish breakfast and good eateries for dinner. One of our party is in a wheelchair,so we don’t want to walk to far. Thanks in advance!

Just catching up, so don’t know what replies you have had.
There are two cafes, opposite the Gresham, who serve good breakfasts at around €5, which have no access problems.
Masty – is that James (two burdz) Spencer? I knew him when I lived in Oatlands in the 60s. He was daft as a brush even then.
Hamiltontim,
Mind and charge the non members £12 – good luck wae that:-)
P.S. Are you there yet?
Dutch Football @football_oranje
Dutchmen Glen Loovens is a free agent, after the defender had his contract at Zaragoza cancelled.
Should be an interesting team selection today.
Fleadh Cheoil, Doire
I was down at the fleadh last night.
I would highly recommend it to everyone.
Very much family friendly. Great buzz about the place.
Jampacked and new bars have appeared in lots of former wee shops, with a 1 week licence.
As a Derry man, makes me proud to see that the first time the fleadh has come north is so well supported and everyone is enjoying it.

That shws how delusional that tot really are .. I mean
, Tim’s coffee is awful!
Hello this is WEE BGFC. The team in yet?
When ‘The Great Rangers Football Club Scandal’ book is written, the author would do well start his or her research with a look at their fan blogs. There they will see, within five minutes of reading, how one huge football club with every privilege and favour going for it, was allowed to destroy itself.
The Hun mindset astonishes me. Is it really possible to breed and evolve such a psyche in the space of 100 years?
Their sense of self entitlement is as embarrassing and misplaced as their arrogance and delusion.
The very rocks they perish on.
hh
Hope that’s Swallys double up then.
Was also at a wee race night last night, and some horse called ally won.
A CQN table of top top Bhoys, great company and laugh, with exception of Doc, who bought wrong horse in auction – numptyheed
Another right good cause being supported by the best group of supporters on this planet
Hail Hail
Phyllis Dietrichson
that’s OUR spenny mate yes!
another wee gem about spenny, I met tony ford the guy that runs the bus from the tall cranes in govan a couple of weeks ago in Belfast. he was telling me they took spenny to Seville and after the game waited for over 2 hours for him and eventually had to leave for logistical reasons, only to get back to the tallies and the bold yin was standing at the bar,,,there are many classic spenny stories…
Marrakesh..
EVOLVE?…
you going to the brazen?
