Premier League International Cup Groups Drawn

With the announcement of an expanded Premier League International Cup for this season, with the competition grown to accommodate 24 clubs in total this year – 12 domestic and 12 foreign – as part of wider changes to what was formerly the Under 21 set up, the new Under 23 age category competition has had the groups drawn today.

    Group E:

Aston Villa, Norwich City, Celtic, Valencia.

  2. Enjoyed the game*and the result.

Thought we put in a good performance.a scoring draw in an away European tie i would say puts us in control.heres hoping anyway.

o connell played well as did efe, so did kt and mikel

Its good to see players responding to BR tactically and its also good as a fan to see good subs made which have an impact on how we play.

Good to have the haver and craic with some cqnrs in the admiral.quality.

    hope in our hearts :-)

  3. SFTB –

I think I can honestly say that is the first time I have posted on CQN criticising James Forrest and his performance, yet you label it as scapegoating.

So if any supporter cricisises a player’s performance, is it always scapegoatimg?

Don’t be so lazy. It diminishes your point.

  4. James Forrest is a coward of a player and BR knows it. He’ll do well to sort him out were all others have failed. Godd luck now to both parties.

  5. By the way SFTB – You even resorted to assuming that I am also an “Efe scapegoater” even though I didn’t once mention him.

Can’t wait to tell that to my mate who goes to the games with me. He always has a laugh because I am forever defending Efe and constantly refers to him as “yer big pal”.

    Hohum.

We could try selling him to Derby. Then he could be The coward of the County!

    I’ll get me coat.

Good news stories for Sevco? Or are they even cheaper than that?

    Hey Ho ! .

” I sat out a summer downpour by watching a team from Torino playing a team from London in a stadium in Australia . Something called The International Champions Cup, where invited Clubs get paid for doing pre season training in public . A total of 39 players played in the game and I had to Google a big percentage of them to learn who and what they were. For the record the team from Torino won 2-1″ .

  10. There’s two camps on James Forrest like there is for most Celtic players, possibly with the exception of the player on loan from Man City, and even he gets stick for not being ‘able to track back’

Every Celtic fan saw the wee Jamesie pass to where he thought Leigh Griffiths should have run, the only trouble was that Leigh didn’t. Whatever it was, it wasn’t untypical.

Brendan Rodgers didn’t see anybody beating their man last night until Forrest came on for 15 minutes of what he was expected to do, which is run away from Craig Gordons direction, with the ball until you lose it, and that’s why he gets a game under successive managers it seems.

Unless you are in the other camp that expects a good pass or a shot on target – he’s some talent.

Given your allegiances James Forrest is a stick on to start at Celtic Park next Wednesday.

  11. Like him or loathe him, I reckon Ambrose is here to stay unless he gets an earth-shattering move abroad (unlikely in the extreme). He’s got a year left until he can gain citizenship so he’s not going to move unless it’s to another team in the UK – any talk of Germany, Turkey etc. can be ignored.

What a performance from their centre half, holding his face, the were a dirty snide team and I hope we thump them next week at Paradise…

  13. Ahh Sevco…..

Favourites to land Van Persie, Van Bronkhorst, and Van Basten……in a 3 for 1 deal.

All the zombies have got a wager on it….So it must be true….right ?

  14. Starry, I know, it was almost as funny as the body language of Leigh that was saying, he just fell over ref, honest!

  15. There 2 Camps re : James Forrest

    Camp

    And very Camp

Or, Brylcream camp, and run like a fairy camp.

The translated caption (Гриффитс бьет кулаком Шитова в матче ) states “Griffiths punches Shitov in the match.”

Wrong; the replays clearly show he got him on the side of the face ……………

  17. I thought we should have had a stonewall penalty in the first half. Didn’t see a replay of it.

  18. Paragraph from Supreme Court ruling:

“The first thing that a totalitarian regime tries to do is to get at the children… and indoctrinate them in their rulers’ view of the world.”

This was illustrated before the referendum when an SNP supporting teacher and friends, aided and abetted by Sheridan, took a group of children from Our Lady and St Georges primary school, in Penilee, to an SNP organised demonstration.
