If Dave King is confident about carrying shareholders at a March EGM, and has the resources, he should loan the club money to get them through the next two months, no strings attached. A bit like John Keane did for Celtic in 1994. With insolvency looming, Keane, currently a Celtic director, but at the time an agitator for boardroom change, wrote a seven figure cheque, no strings attached, to pay-down Celtic’s overdraft, as the Bank of Scotland threatened to call in administrators.
Anything less than this is playing into the hands of Mike Ashley.

“That was all considered by me prior to my application – as was the likelihood that the incumbent board will use the media to try and influence the debate by misrepresentation.
“The enthusiasm that this board adopts to ‘media management’ and its failure to act in the interest of shareholders and other stakeholders is exactly why they should be jettisoned in favour of directors who have the requisite business skills and respect for the tradition of Rangers to take the club forward.
“History will judge this board as one of the worst the club has ever had. There is not one individual who puts the club above personal interest.”

The respected coach has succeeded Peter Houston in the position which is lain vacant since the one-time Dundee United manager returned to the dugout at Falkirk last summer.
McGlynn will be tasked with putting together a dossier of signing prospects for manager Ronny Deila and has wasted no time in getting down to work after being dispatched to mainland Europe at the weekend to cast his eye over potential recruits.
The 53-year-old left Livingston, whom he guided to April’s Petrofac Training Cup final, by mutual consent in December following 15 months at the helm.
Despite also leading Hearts to the 2013 League Cup final, McGlynn lost his job at Tynecastle in February that year after eight months in the post.
McGlynn had served as youth coach, first team coach and assistant manager at Hearts prior to taking his first steps into management with Raith Rovers in 2006.
