Dinamo Zagreb
Ludogorets Razgrad
Kobenhavn
Hapoel Beer-Sheva
Dundalk
The story of the third round wasn’t Dundalk’s magnificent win over BATE Borisov (Uefa coefficient points: 34), it was Hapoel Be’er-Sheva’s incredible defeat of Olympiakos (Uefa coefficient points: 70).
Only Manchester City, Porto and Shakhtar Donetsk were higher seeded in the qualifying competition than Olympiakos. The lesson here is that pretty much anything can happen in the qualifiers. From the above list, I’d bite your hand off for Dundalk or Hapoel, but all five of them are on the verge of Champions League qualification on merit. We should be careful for who we wish for.

WBGFC: Enjoy your day. Will you be wearing a ‘special’ hoodie:-)
The only reason I would hope to get Dundalk in today’s draw is because it would provide a fantastic occasion in the Aviva in Dublin. I don’t think they are the easiest team to beat of the five possible opponents we might face.
They are on a very good run in the League of Ireland, Stephen Kenny has them well organised as a team and the players themselves are very focussed and reasonably confident of what they can achieve.
Wanna fill The Arriva!!!!!!
Get Karamoko Dembele in the team.
He is better than Jamesy, at 13:)

Who are the other 4 teams on ‘our’ side of the draw – is there someone (otehr than Celtic!) that Dundalk might beat to qualify for the Group Stages? Could we still qualify and end up as in the 3rd pot of teams and then draw Dundalk in the Group stages?
If Carlsberg did champions league draws….

As you say,no point in a wish list if it’s based on a perception of who we can beat, who we might struggle against.
We’ve all supported Celtic long enough to have seen some unbelievable results.
Amazing and shocking!
It’s why we love it,why we wonder why we bother, why we always will.
I just delighted that our new management team have taken us this far. They have stepped up to the plate, assessed how best to get the most out of players with a history of letting their head go down in adversity.
The fans, too, have shown their support. In numbers rarely seen in this competition at this stage and in friendlies here and abroad. These have raised the profile of our club again.
And a virtual house full sign on the ticket office for the season tickets.
I’m sure that no-one would want to jeopardise the feel-good zone we are currently in. That would be curmudgeonly.
My wish would be a bye!
Thanks DBBIA.
So we knock ot Copenhagen and Dundalk take care of Legia Warsaw.
Aff oot…

Jobo –
As things stand, Celtic will be in CL pot 4 if we qualify. We would need no fewer than 5 teams above us in the seeding to fail in the play-offs before we would go up a pot. Not going to happen.

LOL – that’s the sound of a penny dropping i can hear!
that was a list of ole seeded teams lifted from the ole Wiki /EWLM/EWTB to help ole Jobo plan his next holiday.
I don’t think that any of these clubs are in a position to wish for any one including us, me? I’ll take the draw as it comes, we are just starting up here, there are no easy team in Europe any more, more so at this stage, and IMO, there’s not much between any of the five teams in the draw.
Wonder how many fans of the other 5 clubs in our section of the draw are looking to avoid a wee trip to Glasgow?.
Bring on any of the 5,if you are worried about who we get today, imagine how your going to feel if we reach the group stages eh.
We have earned the right to be here so lets enjoy it, then we can get down to listening to the bigots in the press tell us how difficult its going to be.
Any truth in the rumour that the sfa have contacted all 5 clubs and offered them Mar hall if they draw Celtic?
H.H.
This is an interesting article from a reporter who has been critical of those seeking to put the record straight.
http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/teams/rangers/the-old-firm-story-how-rangers-imploded-financially-1-4194690
The damage caused by Sir David Murray to our game by his deceit is incalculable, as are the attempts to pretend what he did required no sporting sanctions.
The narrative the reporter Andrew Smith now sets out is a lot nearer the truth.
The 5 sides we would need to fail to send us into pot 3 are:
Salzburg
Viktoria Plzen
Borussia Monchengladbach
Ajax
Villareal
So pot 4 it is then.

Bryson didn’t say the side-letters mob were properly registered.
He spouted the falsehood that they were imperfectly registered, though eligible!
A crime’s not a crime if you didn’t know about it at the time, seemed to be his ‘argument’.
Bet serial killers would love to have that defence!
And LNS bought it, though he did have to run his report past a panel chaired by Regan before publishing, remember.
Plenty there to merit a stronger response than our club’s ‘surprised’ though.
Ohhhhh the banter.

London huns have been after him for the last 2 seasons. Offered his dad a job in London as part of the deal, last I heard though the family are happy up here, and the bhoy himself wants to stay put. But you never know I suppose.
Big Bones.
