Bet your novelty duck there are lessons to be learned

1033

Celtic probably anticipated the three match suspension Uefa imposed on Scott Brown following his red card for an off the ball incident against Barcelona, if they didn’t, they should have.  That’s not to say the decision is not “harsh”, as the club described it, as far as off the ball incidents go, this was a lesser offence, but it was a red card awarded for an off the ball incident nonetheless.

Are there lessons to be learned?  You can bet your novelty Celtic duck on it.

No more on this, or injuries, until late next week.  Absolute focus is required on the task ahead.  Ajax will arrive in town on Monday low on confidence, let’s take them.

A CQN’er has kindly donated two tickets for Tuesday’s game at Celtic Park against Ajax for the 1254125 appeal.  You can bid for them by silent auction by emailing your bid to ajax@celticquicknews.co.uk.

Please include telephone contact details.  Auction will close at 19:00 on Sunday.  The winning bidder will be notified on Sunday evening, tickets need to be paid for directly to the 1254125 MyDonate campaign before 12:00 on Monday or the tickets will be offered to an alternative bidder.

Many thanks for participating.

3 match ban was inevitable when we didn’t appeal. It is recorded as violent conduct and attracts 3 game ban.

Pity lessons couldn’t have been learned in the 2 previous games which saw Broonie commit similar indiscretions, one which cost us a goal in Milan……..

The English media have their faults when dealing with football, particularly regarding the national side, but they are infinitely preferable to what we have to tolerate up here.

I bet the SNP were doing a jig when England qualified. The nonsense that will be written and spoken about England and the world cup over the next 8 months will boost their chances of a yes vote more than anything salmond could ever say.

I suppose the chance to get a deid hun scarf round their necks and sing a few songs about Bobby Sands was sufficient inducement for the brave servicemen to forgive the theft of beneficial funds.

    ——

According to Vanguard Huns, a number of these brave servicemen were Celtic supporters – anyone want to own up?

    —-

I can remember a Scottish squaddie informing me he was a Celtic supporter whilst actively participating in wrecking my family’s home in Belfast; he’d seen the Dalglish poster and Celtic scarf in my bedroom. I believe the euphemism used by the Brits was a house search – pulled up floor boards, dug up the concreted back yard, smashed the coal bunker, smashed the fire places and basically left the house almost uninhabitable. So having seen an alleged Celtic supporter do this i wouldn’t doubt that some of those pictured at Ibrox may well be ‘Celtic’ supporters (but thankfully of an extremly rare variety)

  15. BT- Latest update fae Universal Credit (Jobseeker).

    • The customer will be required to attend their local Jobcentre 35 hours per week and complete an online CV for prospective employers via Universal Jobmatch.

    • Hours attended are looked at on an individual basis, for example if the customer works 17 hours per week then he/she would have to attend 18 hours per week. Voluntary work and sickness are also taken into account.

    • All customer activity at the Jobcentres will be logged to ensure that the customer is actively seeking employment.

    ———————————————————-

Really think this is gonna hit the buffers. Remember, they are only dealing with single people just now. Wait till single parents have to bring in Chantelle (4), Mason (3) and Chesney (1) for 35 hours a week! Pandemonium.

    Madness i tell ye! Madness!

Having said that, with winter fuel rises it’ll be warmer in the jobcentres eh?

Before the above mentioned Johnny’s play in the World Cup they have set up six friendlies beforehand. I was hearing Schottland don’t have a game for 11 months. How is this possible and why? Shoorly someone will want to improve their shooting practice! :-)
