Offensive, insulting and abusive language is not condoned on CQN nor anywhere else but if you’re mumbling to this effect while typing more prosaic comments we don’t have a problem. If, by some clever use of technology, I discretely caught you on mic while recording a feature for CQN and broadcast your words it would be my fault, not yours.
If Neil Lennon addressed insulting or abusive language at an official or opponent then he should be correctly disciplined, but if, as reported, television microphones picked up randomly comments there is no case to answer.
We’re getting back to the days when directional radio mics were used to pick up sound from Celtic fans getting off buses outside Falkirk Stadium in 2009. This one feels opportunistic and is not balanced by audio from other technical areas under scrutiny. If this is how the SFA want to control technical areas, they should issue advice to this effect and introduce appropriate measures, not attempt to discipline Neil Lennon without precedent.

Corkcelt (in the morning) – i didn’t hope that things could be as tight for them as they may be , but i think the last couple of seasons have been a perfect storm for them. Everything that can go wrong , has and even when things appear to go right , eg Dr Poon’s minoritory verdict on the EBT’s , it just opens the door to another dose of hurt .
I must admit , i started off with a , comparatively , gleeful approach to their demise (and the joy of NOT having to experience the worst of their culture) but as time went on and it became obvious that they
1. weren’t going to show any remorse
2. were going to get assistance vritually wherever they need it
I have become resolute in my belief that scottish football NEEDS a future that doesn’t involve them and is based on basic french principles

Brown was spoken to by the police after the altercation with a visiting Odense official during his side’s Europa League exit at Fir Park.
The 70 year old, whose side missed a host of chances as they fell to a 3-1 aggregate defeat, said: “The police have spoken to us. I think it was their sporting director that got a bit carried away.
“I don’t know why but he came to our dugout. I think he was a bit displeased.
“We had a wee bit of a disagreement, putting it euphemistically. I got a shove and I had a retaliatory punch.
“I’m a calm guy but if anyone is old enough to remember when I played the game, I was accused of being quite aggressive.

I mean, if the 4th official clearly held an insulting aggressive statement from Mr. Lennon, should they not have warned him about it at the time? I don’t recall seeing any official approach the dugout or the manager after the incident, though I was in the opposite stand at the time.

I think 50% might be on high side, was thinking 25 to 30% myself.
It was the pursuit of CL cash that has caused the crisis in our game because the rewards were so high for winning and the consequences so bad for losing out.
In an interdependent business that depends on competitors being just that, it does not make sense to create conditions that kill off the competition.
Its not as if the £5m surrendered is going to fund a player who will win the CL for us.

One way to keep the shareholder interest in a just solution is via the AGM by placing a resolution before it that Celtic must respond to if the resolution gets enough signatories behind it.
The timing and numbers needed are crucial but the CST can advise on that.
The actual resolution needs some thought so that it is not easily dismissed by anyone.
