Celtic are going places under Brendan, the players who performed tonight will be his players next season and the ones who can’t cut it at this level so far, will improve under Brendan r they will move on.
It’s a long time since I felt this positive about Celtic…

Probably a draw was a fair result – though we had a late chance to win it. Just a pity it didn’t arrive at Sinclair’s feet. Midfield (with the exception of /) at this level is weak – first touch/ tracking/ tackling – improvement needed.
Still on a positive note:
Win our last 2 games – City lose 2 and BM lose to Barca and we’re in last 16!
Win at least 1 game – BM lose 2 and we’re in the Europa!
Tremendous performance on a net spend of £4 mil, when we seen the team at start of the game , probably feared the worst, 90 mins later we are disappointed not to have won against a Bundesliga side……

Ach …pure dead brilliant..perhaps a more thoughtful grasp of what may just be possible to follow….but what a brilliant wee retort from Borussia Monchengladbach… love the sense of humour.
They are a counter attacking team, a top quality CA team, possession is what it’s all about, they can’t score when we have the ball, end of, I remember Brian Clough was a great exponent of possession being what it was all about, he didny do too bad IMO.
One of the best goals we have scored under Brendan was against Dundee, Broonies goal, we kept the ball for an age, over thirty passes if I recall, we went back a few times but we kept the ball and scored the winner at the end of the move, quality.
We will get there under Brendan, he is a cut above what we have been used to for a while.

That performance was outstanding. The passing back and forth in and out of packed areas was fantastic.
Thoroughly enjoyed that.
A centre mid and a right winger in January please.
Interesting stat at one point this evening. Our passing accuracy was 82% -same as BMG. We had completed more passes as well.
You tend to notice your own teams misplaced passes more. That’s why the stat surprised me. I thought we were more wasteful in possession. We weren’t.

Humping the ball forward in the last 5 minutes at this level of football is as likely to cost you a goal as it is to get you one.We did the right thing we tried to keep the ball and seek an oppening MGB could not do us any damage if they did not have the ball thats European football my only concern is can we hold on to Brendan.H.H.

Real progress being made all over the park. Proud of them all tonight and overall happy with a draw. When we have reached the point where we are disappointed not to get 3 points away to a Bundesliga side, then we are most definitely on the right road.
It is churlish to look for negatives tonight, let’s just sit back and enjoy the ride fholks.

I hope so.
I know it’s really cheesy, and I’m old enough to know better- players like Wanyama leaving hurt more now than they used too.
Well said Joe, BMG’s goal came from a big daft punt up the park, gifting them possession without making them work for it.
The getituptheparkbrigade are going to be disappointed under Brendan…
We need a quality midfield player to dictate play and who can partner Broony up.

I read here lots of critical comments about not going for the win in the final minutes! I think all you Tims have been having too many Latin lessons in thae ‘Catholic’ schools to learn how to coont!!
The objective is to finish above BMG! Have a point or not have a point! That is the question!
Get your abacus out and move the beads!
Having said that we still have to take points in our next two games and hope ‘Die Deutschlanders’ don’t take more!! Simples.

Interestingly enough It came not long after the German commentator on sky said….. ‘Celtic Glasgow play a ‘kick and rush’ game, which will suit the composure of the foals (Gladbach).
Big hoof, big punt up the middle in my book any day.
Brendan has been our Manager for just under six months, what progress!
It has been a steep learning curve, yes we’ve made mistakes but by God we have learned. We have a way to go but we have our pride back. Yes tonight some of the decision making in picking out certain passes or when to pass rather than shoot could have been better. However, I would have settled for a draw before a ball was kicked.
Tonight is not a night for apportioning blame or pointing the finger. Tonight is one for recognising the efforts of Brendan and each of the Players that played.
A couple of more quality Players, one of whom should be a holding midfielder and we will progress further.
As TD67 would post, hurting Huns GIFUY!!

Tictaewin- no positives at all? None?
Watching our team, some of the players ,look to lightweight, not good in winning tackles,so that needs addressed, also Gamboia did OK.

I know but come on, he did his best. It wasn’t good enough but I’m just so pleased with a draw.
Ok, you heard, ignore major moments in the game incase it involves, gulp, mild criticism of a player who could and should have done better.
That’s what a football blog’s for, right?
It’s just John Hartson saying it too, what does he know about scoring goals,eh?
That performance tonight tells me 1 thing.
