This Celtic, has what, 1 players from our last fixture against Juventus ? Probably 4 or 5 in the squad.
The CL result failures are a media thing and will have no effect on this team.
The same guff applies to Hampden.

That was very encouraging tonight. The players and the team collectively showed that they had learned, and they applied the learning. Fair play to them and their teacher.
My sense of it all, given where we are, what we’ve got to work with, and who’s making it happen, is that the club should be looking to go one better than MON’s team in 2003.
It won’t happen overnight, or even soon, but there is a chance here, given time, a clear mind and a lot of hard work, to write some history.

I agree about Armstrong and Govan.
My first proper away game, ie outside of Glasgow, I went in The supporters bus that left from The Glen Bar. My sister stayed in Luath St just off Govan RD.
Mini Huns 3 Celtic 4.
We were still queuing up to get in and the minis were already 2 up.

Cheers , Jimmy.
Like most expat Tims , I want to promote Celtic.
Glad to see enterprising Tims having a go. They deserve our support.
Relieved , more than anything , about our result.
A further positive step on the road to restoring lost credibility .
Will check out PSG and beloved Craig T.

Delighted with the result tonight, a real improvement from the last game where perhaps the pressure spooked us a little.
Two penalties in the Champions League in four games , how many in the SPL ? Can’t remember any.

Celtic have only failed to score in 4 out of our 23 games this season – and those are the only 4 games we have lost – and all in the Champions League.
So if we can nick a goal or two against Barca and Citeh …..

Speaking of history, Celtic’s is storied.
One of those stories involves an entrepreneur from Clydebank who remortgaged his house in order to charter airplanes from Glasgow to Lisbon in order to take Celtic supporters to the 1967 European Cup final. He did this before the second leg of the semi final had been played. Ballsy stuff.
It was the first time in football history that a football support had mobilised on a Trans-Continental scale.
The supporters, all 17 plane loads of them, enjoyed a rare trip. Celtic won the European Cup, the Entrepreneur covered his costs, Freddy Laker spotted an idea, and BRTH banked a memory. Who won most?
Smiling tonight Jim. Smiling. God bless the auld fella.

Good tonight thank you. Went to bed for a couple of hours when I came in from work, so that I could see the game. Adrenaline still pumping now, so no point trying to sleep yet. Back at hospital on Friday, routine stuff.

While a blog is a great place for comment and opinion I think it is harsh to ‘blame’ players individually for the OVERALL result.
I think CMcGs chance was a bit more difficult than I first thought but he is no more to blame for us not having more points than Scott Sinclair or Kolo Toure at the first BMG game or even BR against Barca.
Maybes and what ifs are part and parcel of football….it’s getting the quality and the confidence of players up to the high level which overcomes the what ifs.
And having a top class manager can speed that process.
Onwards and mainly upwards methinks!

Well had a wee read-back to full time.
Over-riding sense of satisfaction. It speaks volumes that we are disappointed with a 1-1 draw with a Bundesliga team!
Last 2 seasons we would have got a mauling!
Reality is we still have an outside chance of Europa League and that’s a good thing!
Broony was imperious yet again! I had talked about how `Forrest and Rogic have been revitalised by Rodgers. Its now becoming clearer that the biggest difference to the team, IMHO, is how Scott Brown is playing. A real leader and no’ a bad fitba’ player either. Heard a sticky on Clyde tonight saying he was delighted that Broony was back for the England game. Wisnae BFDJ, just a punter who said he would get pelters for saying it.

Are Celtic, at last, developing an away game strategy in Europe which garners points on a regular basis, including occasionally even wins?????
What a difference that would make to our chances of qualifying!
