Boyata transformation is beyond belief

840

When we signed Dedryck Boyata, while simultaneously losing loanee Jason Denayer, I heard that bullish comment from Celtic Park “We made Denayer into a regular Belgian international and we’ll do the same for Boyata.”

Teenage Jason Denayer was part of a record-breaking Celtic central defence.  Fast and skilful, there was little chance parent club Manchester City would allow him to extend his stay in Scotland.  Dedryck was older, had played less football, and City allowed him to leave for £1.5m.  The claim that we could make him into a Belgium regular seemed fanciful.

Belgium are the top team in the Fifa rankings.  Getting anywhere near this squad is an achievement, but Dedryck is now a regular fixture.  When Jason Denayer made a late entrance in the game against Iceland last night, it was captain, Vincent Kompany he replaced, not the Celtic central defender.

Dedryck has only been at Celtic three years and the early months of his time here were memorable for an own goal against Malmo and a very poor performance away to Molde.  His transformation is beyond belief.

The federal government has maintained nobody processed through Nauru will ever call Australia home, even if they are found to be genuine refugees.

Refugees wish to return to the concentration camp , they want to return to a civilised country not the foreigners concentration camp, you know the ones https://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-45943094

  3. Back on about Scotland last night, sorry, but I have to get this off my chest.

It was CELTIC players who won the game last night, CELTIC players!!!

Now, we have a golden chance to publicly announce to the world, which would cause shockwaves, that Celtic wish it to be known that no CELTIC player will be permitted to play for the National team until such times as there is real, genuine equality for all Scottish players, no matter what. We have had enough!!!!

OK, it might be tough on our players who have ambition to play for Scotland, but until we make a stance, nothing will ever change I’m afraid. It won’t take long to sort out once FIFA et al get involved, that’s for sure.

    Hail Hail and all that

  5. Tough overtime last night for the scribblers of the mssm.

Rewriting copy furiously due to those uppity Celtic players showing their class and getting a victory for the best wee country.

They will have plenty resentment in store for these usurpers of the natural order and escaped goat headlines have already been written in the event the best wee country loses to Israel.

  6. Nauru…

Based on months of research, including interviews with more than 100 people in Nauru and Australia, Amnesty International’s report Island of Despair: Australia’s ‘processing of refugees’ exposes the government of Australia’s policy of “processing” refugees and asylum-seekers on Nauru for what it is: a deliberate and systematic regime of neglect and cruelty.

“On Nauru, the Australian government runs an open-air prison designed to inflict as much suffering as necessary to stop some of the world’s most vulnerable people from trying to find safety in Australia,” said Anna Neistat, Amnesty International’s Senior Director for Research, one of the few people who managed to enter the remote and secretive island to investigate human rights abuses.

  7. Just days after its doctors were kicked out of Nauru, Medecins Sans Frontieres has called for the immediate evacuation of all asylum-seekers and refugees, along with the closure of all Australian detention camps on the island.

The medical charity said there was “nothing humanitarian about saving people from sea only to leave them in an open-air prison on Nauru”.

  10. To the people detained there and others who have spent time at Nauru.

  12. Only a matter of time before Buzzbomb’s statue gets flagged offside. Grew up watching it happen to Bobby almost every match. If only VAR had been around then.

  14. About 6 months ago my wee granddaughter Jessica took an obsession to fire engines. For those six months she has visited the local fire station weekly were all the fir fighters now know her by name. She just runs up and rings the bell and the firefighters bring her in and let her sit in the engines with blues and twos bellowing. They are absolutely brilliant with her and give her all the time in the world. I imagine doing this with her and other kids probably relieves a little stress of they’re underpaid Rome in our society. These guys and girls are with 3, 4 or more times what they get paid.

Anyway. We have decided along with Jessica who is two to give a wee bit back and have arranged a toddler walk on the 1st of December we’re she will toddle the mile from Inverleith Park to the local fire station to raise a wee bit for the fire fighters charity who help take care of injured firefighters and those dealing with PTSD from the mental trauma of their jobs.

Thems have hijacked the day I stand tall for my lost family in WW1 & WW11.

    Sips..,

I no longer believe Nostradamus was referring to the Chinese but the cowards who sit in war offices around the world demanding the poor go fight their wars and the cowards who help propagate the myth that the wars are needed to protect their money and “way of life”.

The Chinese have lifted more people out of poverty than capitalism which is now focused on making people poor.
