Brozek in Glasgow chess game. Check.

1155

Two years ago I had a memorable journey from one end of Poland to the other, mostly in silent prayer that our man from Poland would slow down, to check out a few footballers, including Wisla Krakow striker, Pawel Brozek, who obliged with a goal.

Pawel has played mostly as a lone striker, he can hold the ball up and bring others into the game.  He’s not a particularly tricky player but he has good positional sense inside the box.  His move to Trabzonspor last year hasn’t worked out well as he has played back up to scoring sensation, Burak Yilmaz, who is averaging better than a goal per game in the league this season.  Brozek’s record at Wisla was comparable to Maciej Zurawski, who he replaced as top striker in the league.

The Polish CQN brigade told me Celtic should move for Pawel and his twin brother before Trabzonspor signed them.  When news leaked that Pawel was a target to replace ex-Rangers player (too soon?) Nikica Jelavic our man in Poland suggested he would pick up a lot of points for Rangers in the SPL.

If he comes to Celtic on a six month loan both parties will have plenty of opportunity to figure out if there is long term fit.  In the meantime, should Pawel arrive we have someone to put pressure on Gary Hooper and Anthony Stokes and the Cheeky Chappie will have to consider his next move (again, too soon?).

On the subject of Jelavic….  Remember in August 2010 when we were told he “effectively went on strike” to engineer his escape from Rapid Vienna after the player declared he wasn’t able to face Aston Villa?  I hear he’s unable to play against Hibs this afternoon.

Ignoring the ‘every player looks good on youtube’ axiom our big(gish) Pole…looks darn good. And…can score goals with his napper. Which is obviously a very good thing.

Absolutely. But they’re brought up deluded by their deluded predecessors. How else could you follow that mob with their history, morals and ethics except in a state of permanent delusion?

on January 28th 2012 Brosek joined SPL leaders Celtic after passing his medical on a 6 month loan deal with the option to buy for £650,000 at the end of the season. His squad number is yet to be confirmed, before signing for Celtic he was being closely watched by close rivals The Rangers but he never wanted to pay his own transfer fee

It’s amazing what can be achieved with modern technology but perhaps pulling those you mention up to subhuman level is beyond the ken of the combined efforts of Pixar, Industrial Light and Magic and James Cameron.

They just don’t pay attention. One of them tried to tell me Smith had no money to spend during his second spell at the club. Tell a lie often enough and this is what happens.

When I pointed out, one-by-one, the signings he had made the Hun went quiet for a minute and then suggested we had spent more. After pointing out the error of his ways by going through our purchases in the same period he just looked dumfounded.

He said: “I thought…” before I cut in and told him the problem was he didn’t think at all.

Radio Scotland……”We need to find a pronunciation wich suits everyone”…………chellik, anything but Celik………they really are sad people….I suppose ‘beggars can’t be choosers’…..irrespective of his name, he did agreed to sign for Armageddon FC …must have been REALLY desperate……….(to be fair, though, I suppose we would have a wee issue if we signed Billy Hun….He He !!!!…….

  13. huns are celebrating winning the euopean diddy cup 40 years ago. BFDJ saying he hopes another Rangers team can win another European trophy – OMG it is soo good has the fat fool forgotten that there amy not be a Rangers in a couple of weeks.

Am I mistaken when I say that Rankers were only in the cup winner’s cup as runners up of the domestic trophy Celtic having won the league and cup that year?

  14. Good news regarding Brozek, have we had any info from our main man Zbysek?

YouTube clip looks good, altough I’m sure Rafel Scheidt’s look half decent as well!

He looks like he can turn and finish well in the box, composed and also not bad with the napper!

His finishing looks reminiscent of Maciej’s from his clips as well actually. I hope he is a little bit taller with more muscle though. Any info on height etc?

Anyway, good to beat the Huns and agree regarding Jelavic- hope he stays and they have no excuses.

Have the huns paid the training fee due for Celik or is it still owed to his former club?

At the risk of being cheeky, what do you think?

They have 30 days to pay up apparently. Good luck with that!
