CELTIC CUP DRAW UPDATE

CELTIC are 90 minutes away from a place in the Premier Sports League Cup semi-final.

Ange Postecoglou’s trophy holders take on Motherwell in the last-eight clash at Fir Park tomorrow evening with the unusual kick-off time of 6.15pm.

The trophy was the Greek-Australian’s first piece of silverware as Parkhead gaffer after being named Neil Lennon’s long-term successor in June last year.

The Hoops, who beat Hibs 2-1 in the Hampden showdown in December with a double from Kyogo Furuhashi, overcame Ross County 4-1 in Dingwall in the previous round.

GREEN FOR GO…two-goal Kyogo Furuhashi with last season’s League Cup.

The draw for the last four will be made tomorrow night following Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s Ibrox side’s home tie against Championship outfit Dundee.

If the game finishes in regulation 90 minutes, the ballot will take place shortly after 10pm. If it goes to extra-time, it will be drawn closer to 10.45pm.

Kilmarnock take on Dundee United at Rugby Park tonight while the other match will see Aberdeen face Partick Thistle at Pittodrie tomorrow.

The semi-final draw will be shown live on the Premier Sports channel.

The last four matches are due to take place next year on the weekend commencing January 14.

The Final will be played at Hampden on February 26.
