CELTIC EXODUS: TEENAGE KEEPER ON MOVE

CELTIC’S teenage keeper Vincent Angelini is wanted by Brighton.

The highly-rated 17-year-old shotstopper, grandson of Hoops legend Davie Hay, is poised to quit Parkhead after knocking back a contract extension.

That has alerted interested clubs and the Premier League south coast outfit are the first to make their move by asking Celtic to allow them to take the prospect for training while they run the rule over him.

The club are due a compensation fee for Angelini whose father Tomasso is a former Lazio midfielder and is now an agent.

The Serie A outfit plus AC Milan and Juventus were linked with the 6ft 3in shotstopper before he made the move to the Hoops while Manchester United also showed an interest.

Fiorentina, Everton and Southampton are also monitoring his current situation.

It looks highly likely Angelini will join the worrying exodus of some of Celtic’s top kids that has already seen 19-year-old California-born striker Cameron Harper, who made his debut in the 1-1 draw with Hibs at the turn of the year, return to his homeland after signing for New York Red Bulls, as CQN reported.

In recent times, Liam Morrison and Barry Hepburn have both joined Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich while Josh Adam left for Manchester City last summer.

Liam Hughes, another goalkeeper, joined Liverpool on deadline day
