Celtic fans to blame, apparently

902

I see Celtic fans are being blamed for rumours of Newco’s administration by their former manager, Ally McCoist. He could argue that. Alternatively, you could suggest that a business unable to secure bank borrowing, dependent on funding from directors, who will soon be forced to find £11m to make a share offer, has created more than enough financial uncertainty without Celtic fans’ assistance.

McCoist suggested “even the biggest Celtic fans in the country” do not want to see Newco go into administration. Not so sure you are right there, Ally. Personally, I would find it a funny, but it is not going to change anything. It would not lead to relegation and will not change the title race in any way.

The most significant outcome of administration could be forcing control from Dave King. Which would be a source of enormous regret.

You hang in there, Dave.

The CQN Podcast: A Celtic State of Mind (EP28) with former Celtic director Tom Grant

Paul John Dykes and Kevin Graham are joined by Celtic’s ex-director, Tom Grant, who offers a fascinating insight into the running of the club in the 1980s and 1990s.

Tom Grant explains exactly why Celtic refused to complete the Mo Johnston transfer in 1989, and lifts the lid on audacious efforts by Billy McNeill to recruit Peter Beardsley and Steve Bruce.

Tom Grant also dissects his relationship with Fergus McCann, and the impact of the ‘Celts For Change’ movement in overturning the ‘family dynasty’ board in 1994.

It was an interesting wee clip -. Lovely wee bit with Rivera standing ankle deep in snow as he took a throw in . Voiceover said that both clubs had wanted the game to be postponed but with over 85k tickets sold ,the Milan polis were worried that there would have been a riot had the game been postponed.- I’d forgotten that the great Kurt Hamrin had played for AC Milan . A player my old man took me to see when the Deady Bears played Fiorentina . He didn’t disappoint ! .

The Deady Bears were hot faves before 7-1 and the 4-0 Cup Final .

I couldn’t believe the odds before the Feyenoord game . I went to a wedding In Rotterdam – that coincided with Feyenoord v AC Milan.. Feyenoord humped a really good AC Milan team .. It amazed me that so many people thought the final would be a shoe in .. Way too much hype about beating a team from England

    ……

    .have a look on page 9 mate ( I think ) ?

    FAVOURITE UNCLE,

it appears to me that the VAST MAJORITY on here don’t buy the Daily Ranjur or The Hun rags etc…never mind the racing Post as I have never read anyone on here writing about buying any of the above.

your are right…EVERYONE can BUY and READ every day any of the above Rags or racing post cos I won’t be posting any horses anymore.

One thing however, if you read back to last Saturday I did a bit more than simply post paper horses, as I did clearly point everyone in the direction of a Henderson horse at one meeting with Nico the stable jockey on it, rather than him riding for Henderson at Chepstow in the Welsh Grand National etc.

The hose called “CALL ME LORD” WON at 7/2 ( I think…although that may have been the early price that I got ?)….and like today I have tried to steer folk the same way if you read my post as Nico is on TWO horses at Warwick, one of which is heavily fancied…rather than riding at Kempton ?

My point being, whilst ( AS I have POINTED OUT) on several occasions, what I have posted so far have NOT been Tips…but merely myself trying to steer folk in the possible right direction …for example the fcat that the stables N0.1 jockey Nico was giving Chepstow ( the MAIN Meeting) a miss to ride elsewhere.

A lot of folk MIGHT NOT have cottoned on to that…maybe they did ?

I have attempted the same thing again today with Nico riding two Henderson horses at Warwick , and it it POSSIBLE that fact could be a Tip in itself.

I’m not trying to appear clever, I was only trying to help some folk especially those that don’t buy the Rags or racing Post etc ?

Anyways, I’ve said enough on the matter…I will not be doing it ever again…folk can pick their own donkeys…they certainly don’t need my help.

Even if Henderson has 5 or 6 Winners today……….I won’t be mentioning it ever again.

I’ve only been in Lynchs now and again. over many years..nothing to write home about as a pub imo ? ALTHOUGH, on Sunday back in the 1990’s I nipped a right good looking burd in Bairds bar after the Huns had beaten us 1-0 that day, and her and I head to Lynchs for a few drinks….we almost got barred cos she was slabbering ALL over me…and the whole pub couldn’t keep their eyes aff of her, including the bar staff…she was WAY OVER THE TOP that night, I can tell you…trying to drag me into the toilets for …you know what ?

I just about managed to calm her doon that night….until I took her oot again the following week in the toon…she behaved more like a lady that night….until………. ?

You obviously have a large record collection. Could you tell me how you store your 45s? I have a fair collection, but I’m sure the way I store them in shoe boxes isn’t doing them any good.
