Celtic interims show what a stable club looks like

869

Celtic interim accounts for the 6 months to 31 December were released this afternoon.  The standout figure is that, despite Champions League revenue being absent this year, football and stadium income was down from £16.8m to a similar £16.5m.  This suggests other ticket sales increased.

The hit from the lack of Champions League came in the multimedia and commercial column, which was down from £19.5m to £7.9m, but the club still make an operating profit of £3.2m.  So, we’ve a fairly solid club on our hands.

We invested £5.7m in players, while making a profit of £7.1m on disposals.  With player trading, tax and interest all accounted for, we made a profit for the period of £6.601m.  This Armageddon thing is working out quite well.

Looking forward to the game tomorrow . A much stiffer test awaits than last week. We were all over the place in the league game up there so let’s hope Ronny and the Bhoys can put that one to rest.

Condolences to jude on the loss of your sister, I will remember you in my prayers tonight .

Why the hell is there rugby in the telly at this time of night. Would a nice period drama not be more appropriate?

Games without skill should be confirmed to working hours. Nothing to be gained by inflicting this on innocents. It’s like human bumper cars.

People running into each other as fast as they can is not sport…….

    —————-

Post of the night, my friend. well, except for the bit about a period drama! Can’t stand that game.

    Who cares about democracy eh?

This language, the sentiments are very reminiscint of other regimes who thought the same way.

Do you not even realise what you are saying and how you sound?

  9. Wits,

Yip. There sure is. Tet did say in his opinion though.

  13. HT as we both said we are ok to to disagree. However do you feel that, ahem, you handed my bottom back to me on a plate as Pedro so eloquently put it?

  14. Borgo

Indeed, our last performance up there was easily one of the worst of this season. Tomorrow will be a tough task but I do think the team are more able to deal with it than previously.

Wales lacked confidence . England`s defence , in the middle of the park, was superb.

I fancied Wales tonight and Ireland for the Title. Not quite so sure now . Overall, though, I thought that was a game of pretty high class, although not wonderfully attractive, rugby.

Golf at 8:06 au matin so goodnight all,

I urge you to take 30 seconds and type the following words into google…(Remember , google will put the mat use search criteria to the top of it’s list of hits.)

I’d prefer to leave your bottom out of any discussions.

  19. HT and borgo,

Imo we were a different side back then. Two starters are no longer at the club and we were in a bad place after the Maribor exit.

    Bit easier tomorrow hopefully :)

  20. And Delaneys at least in the drum you got a stand up,fight. Half the guys on here can’t muster a debate but will make up any old nonsense they can to justify their daftness.

BGX has managed to sound like Edward Mosley tonight. Amazing isn’t it?

  21. mike in toronto on

fat load of good you lot are … I come to you with a genuine, heart-felt problem, but does anyone offer any help? No…. too bloody busy arguing about …. well, arguing …. (at least, that is what some of the arguments seem to be about)

since none of you lot could think of an excuse I could give my lady as to why I should be going to the Celtic club tonight instead of the art gallery, it looks like I’m going to have to go to the bloody gallery ….

hope you lot are proud of yourselves.

I would say that I am flouncing… but I think you are supposed to do that at the art gallery … so, instead, I am just leaving (in a huff)…

  22. Oliver’s? It’s been a while. Last time I was in there I was at a wedding. Ended up having to leave by the fire exit to avoid the mass fight. True story!
