Celtic should accept Wilson ban offer

1201

Celtic should accept the offer of a two match ban for Kelvin Wilson following an incident at Dens Park on Boxing Day.  He has never been an aggressive player, so there is no need to assume intent, but an elbow to the face is a painful experience and potentially dangerous.  These are the rules and they are there for good reason.

It wasn’t that long ago we called them the re aRangers, they have many names and you only need to go and watch the new Hobbit film (3d is a must) to realise how far and wide did the Orc Hun travel, they caused havoc and mayhem all over the kingdom.

Just seen the Fifa ’12 moments that defined 2012 (FIFA.com)’

Wednesday 26 December 2012 Thing, no doubt its been posted before but…

    ‘Rangers go under

    14 June

Rangers’ perilous financial position had been an open secret but there was still shock when, after 140 years of history and a world record 54 league titles, the club was consigned to liquidation in mid-June. The Glasgow giants were subsequently reformed as a new company and granted entry to the Third Division, Scotland’s fourth tier.’

Last week wee daft daaryl king was stating that the European Clubs ‘association/alliance/commission/loyal’ had stated that Sevco were still the same club and that means more than Uefa, SFA, SPL, SFL saying otherwise. Now Fifa join the list of minor organisations discredited by the giant in world football opinion daaryl king.

Brilliant comedy gold, no wonder the wee bitter fool left the country.

  5. Two things folks .

Heard Sally say that the game v Queens Park was a Glasgow derby…l just burst out laughing they are a sad shower.

Second is about the Dundee game. l never saw any of it until today. I listened to it on the radio. The Radio Shortbread commentators gave the Dundee CH Declan Gallagher a hard time for the second goal saying he should have got a header in..the boy had no chance. Also given the comments about Wilson l thought it was a clear cut case of an elbow…but on seeing the footage it is far from it. Looks like he was being held just as the Dundee player said after the game. So no case to answer.

I hope the zombies enjoy their only visit to Hampden this season, and I hope Queen’s Park skelp them back into place…….

  13. Totally disagree with you, Paul. I think of the bougherra foot to goalies head kick being rescinded. Can’ t believe the club would let Kelvin by NOT challenging the ban offer. If we accept I suspect Lenny will be privately fuming with his bosses.

  14. Estadio maybe the lads know that Brendan Carroll, the guy playing Mrs. Brown is a big Celtic Supporter. He was on a talk show here some time back and was going on about football & Celtic. Apparently he was a fairly handy footballer himself as well.

  17. Ntassoolla You asked how an accidental elbowing can take place if you are aware where the player is. I haven’t seen the incident so am making no comment on it, what I will say is at the level I see most games at (amateur) you do see accidental elbowing when jumping and running. Although you might start off knowing respective positions a bit of movement means that it does happen.

  18. Jamsie

I personally think it would be absurd for Celtic to accept the charge on the evidence that Celtic fans have been shown.

What we do know is precisely who manufactured ‘the deliberate elbow in the face’ charge and it wasn’t Kelvin Wilson or John Baird.

Kelvin’s “elbow” was no more than an attempt to shrug of the Dundee player who was pulling (fouling) him from behind.

Lee McCulloch would feel insulted at calling that an “elbow”

100% disagree with Paul67 today. Celtic and Wilson should decide whether there are reasonable grounds to appeal. Given the Dundee players words I would suggest that there is every reason to IMO.

James Forrest. A full article based on hearsay and 4 comments. Pretty poor. I know it’s not your writing but surely you would be looking for a little more evidence than what was provided by anyone you afford to we’re for your blog.
