Watched the game in The Dubliner Bar in St Julian’s, Malta with my wife and a random bunch of Scottish & Irish tims. One or two Aberdeen fans too. Just in from an afternoon and evening of celebration.

What a moment Tom Rogic gave us.

What a season Brendan and the team have given us.

What timing our club has. Always time things beautifully. Centenary double. Unbeaten treble 50 years since Lisbon.

There is something magical about our club. Our culture produces men like Big Jock, Caeser, TB, MO’N, Lenny & Brendan for a reason.

    Wonderful times. Truly.

And btw Jayden Stockley. Wear your shin guards next season ya dirty, cowardly bar steward.

    Good night bhoys

I am physically and emotionally drained. This season has been magnificent.

Thank you all for allowing me to share it with you.

    Hail hail

  6. Thank you Celtic. I may not have many years left to me, but I would give one of them to have my lovely brother John back to witness today. The biggest Belfast/Glasgow Celtic man you could imagine.

  7. Gerry @ 11.18

Well said as my late Mam used to say “There is always one”.

This season we have played 47 Competitive Domestic games Winning 43 drawing 4 (including daylight robbery in one) & lost NONE.

We scored 134 & conceded 27. A smidgin over a goal every 2 games including daylight robbery penalties.

What do we need? How about a better goalie, I need a sleep.

Good Night & God Bless All. Can ye imagine what some might say on here sometime in 2019 when we eventually lose a game.

  8. Woooooftttt! How am a no’ pished?

Drank everything that can be consumed. Ate a wee bit. Drank some more….

    A proud day.

    A Celtic day.

Man i was scared. Then they tired. You can’t, just can’t chase us for 90 minutes. Their baw was burst and we deflated them further.

Class from Tom to seal the occasion.

Love to one and all on this historic day.

  9. My way of celebrating was to read all the comments on here since the the start of the 2nd half. Makes great reading. Thank you CQNers. A great blog for a great club.

Fellow Celtic fans, which included our very own Lionsroar67

Did you all know we got a good luck to the Bhoys message from CR7, as we spent to day/night in his sports bar in Lisbon, and entertained his entire hotel and bar clientele

Kickinthenakas is a fantastic DJ :-)

This is what’s it’s like to be Celtic

I really hope that twat Stockley is having a real bad night after losing to the Invincibles , loved Paddy wearing Kieran’s shirt at end of game ! Bromance !

  16. FAN-A-TIC on 27TH MAY 2017 4:43 PM

I think we should sub Rogic as he has been poor with exception of one pass.

    Giving ball away constantly

  17. Delaneys Dunky on

My last night in Lisbon and just had the best four days of my life. Topped off today by watching us win the treble in CR7 bar, owned by the Real Madrid player. Sitting beside me was my pal Billy Lionsroar. What a year and time to be living life.

    BRTH

    You organised one helluva trip.

    Eternal thanks Jim.

    Hail Hail

  18. Watching the game on the link kindly posted by GG and just after Kieran Tierney has left the pitch and the ball is lofted into the Celtic penalty box Scott Brown jumps for the ball and guess who wets himself and stays well out of the challenge? None other than Mr totally innocent Stockley. As for Andy Walker he nearly bends himself into a paperclip to excuse the challenge on Kieran. Another thing I noticed was that Stockley had one tussle with Dedryck and immediately fell down holding his head despite Dedryck putting his hands on his back.

Confirmed everything I thought about the no mark.

  19. Never. In all my days did i think we could do what we have just done.

    It’s a kind of magic.

  20. Thindimebhoy on

Rogic what a level headed ghuy who can play with both feet

    Loved that winning goal

Has to be one of the best winning goals us Celts ever seen

  21. When The Celts go up to lift the Scottish Cup

    We’ll be there, we’ll be there….in Lisbon,

In Scotland, in Ireland, every fecking where.

What an incredible season and a very fitting score line. Watching that second half was like watching 50 years ago. We hammered them 2-1.

Many Thanks to all in Lisbon who made this dream come true. And a special thanks to my wonderful wife for releasing me to fulfill this dream and to my daughter for helping to keep me sane.

  22. Have to laugh at the Record’s player ratings :-

Celtic starting 11 scored 63 with the 2 subs adding 7 and 1 to that total.

    Aberdeen’s starting 11 scored 74 with 2 subs scoring 4 and 4

  23. We’ve won games against the Huns and, more tellingly, against Aberdeen, in different ways, but each time comprehensively. For a final, that was a doing today.

We’ve played the second and third best teams in Scotland 12 times and between then they’re not getting any closer to a winning formula.

  24. Rascar Capac on

Stockley knows Keiren is just behind him. He is six foot three, so he doesn’t have to raise his arm.

The only thing that matters is the speed of the turn, and with ref looking elsewhere this has to be a thought out move.

How many times has he tried this and missed, so nobody notices.

  25. BABASONICOS71 on

Wow wow wow.I don’t drink that much these days but I enjoyed a few today. In all my 46 years on this most beautiful planet I can’t recall being so happy, contented and excited by our team as I have been today. There’s a magic,a romance that paints the picture of our club and today was another brushstroke added to the master canvas the famous Glasgow Celtic have been creating since our formation.

It’s been a special week for our club and especially our supporters so to end it with Tom’s late late work of art was the most Celtic of ways to round it off.And after a shaky first half we deserved it.

What our team have achieved this season is remarkable and has not really sunk in yet. It’s been a privilege and a pleasure to watch. As has been sharing it with all the Celtic family, especially CQNers.

    I’m in heaven.

This is how it feels to be Celtic.

    One Kieran Tierney.

  26. SAINT STIVS

I openly admitted such straight after he scored.

He was poor today and conceded possession constantly

  27. SAINT STIVS

    FAN-A-TIC on 27TH MAY 2017 4:58 PM

Rogic makes me look like a balloon!!!!!

    Great goal 2-1

  28. SAINT STIVS

I am a Rogic fan and his skill at goal was typical of his brilliance.

But overall he ha poor game except for a brilliant pass to Sinky that created a goalscoring chance and his fantastic winner.

He seemed out of touch and gave the ball away constantly.

  29. Still watching the game and just heard Andy Walker say that a goal now, the 67th minute, would be a fitting tribute to “that club”.

    What a soup taking gobshite.

  30. RASCAR CAPAC

I pointed out in the last league game he was jumping into players with elbows up.

He hit KT in the face in that game causing Kieran to receive treatment. He went unpunished.

In game after that against huns he received second yellow for elbowing and was sent off.

Different standards applied when he played us.

McInnes knew he could get away with it.

If he plays against us next season the central defenders should be told to go right through him on first tackle and remind him there are consequences for his actions.

    He is a cowardly bassa.

  31. Rascar Capac on

I don’t think Rogic is particulary athletic. Like Paddy McCourt.

He is a brilliant footballer, and ran past Aberdeen defenders out on their feet.

And Rogic didn’t start the game.
