  1. Lovely day in the sun at Celtic Park today. Fantastic crowd, old, young and everything in-between. The perfect end to an amazing week and a phenomenal season. Party still going on in Celtic pubs all over. How great is it to be a Tim?! :-)))))))

  2. And when you go home to tell yer Da you are signing for someone else, and you know he will pin you to a wall, that might put you off signing elsewhere!!!!

Kieran’s Dad was in Paddy’s ear on the lap of honour last week during the lap of honour.

I hope so, I want KT to stay more than any other player we have, the bhoy has it all imo, been manys a year since I have seen such a complete player in one so young and he is getting better by the day.

But when the whores drop their knickers and offer untold riches it can turn heads sad to say.

As others have pointed out , this has been the most memorable week supporting our team .

A magnIficent unified effort by our players , management team and board to get an invicible team.

I don’t know if anyone else has noticed this, when our players were being given the cup , there was a passageway number behind the big guy who handed over the cup. When he moved , the passageway number was 50 . Was this a coincidence or fate at the culmination of our week of celebration .

Jermaine Defoe will earn 130k a week at Bournemouth, this is the world that we live in. There is a lot of talk about what will happen with Roberts but Armstrong’s contract situation is slipping under the radar. It’s taking time to sort it out for whatever reason. Any EPL clubs watching yesterday had to be impressed, even with only one year left they will not hesitate to offer £10m plus and offer the player 3 or 4 times what he could earn with us. In less than two weeks he will line up against England at Hampden and should he perform to his capabilities then he will be firmly in the shop window.

A Stor , belated thanks for your posts about Sean Fallon , and I’m sure many more posters and lurkers , would have enjoyed reading them about Sean’s incredible contribution to our team as a player , coach, scout and assistant manager.

Hayes would be a good squad player although his age would go against him. Wouldn’t like to see Christie go permanently, although would be happy to see him go on loan for another season.

GMS, Christie on loan and cash?

Anyone organising a 50th anniversary outing to Abbey Road Studios next Thursday for the ole Sgt Pepper’s ’67 celebrations?

TTR- We will need to up our pay structure, we will need to offer Armstrong 25-30k a week, Championship clubs could offer that no problem., smaller squad, better quality on higher wages

  11. Am i mistaken or is Johnny Hayes a Celtic supporter? The sheep will just love that he is being liked with us. Looks as if they could be down half a team and looking for a new manager before the new season. Which sadly is good news for Sevco as it is the only way they can hope to make 2nd spot in the league theirs.

  12. Johnny Hayes is no better than James Forrest in fact I prefer James as a player..

Not for me, I would hope our sights will be set on a higher standard of player..

Hayes signed another contract in February till 2019. Aberdeen would say not for sale at any price but at the end of the day when the player wants to move then it’s a done deal. Hayes would walk to Celtic Park if an offer is on the table. Brendan tried to sign him for Reading and obviously has a soft spot for him. Not sure if I believe this story or not but i will trust Brendan’s judgement either way.

Incidentally if Christie moves to Aberdeen we should insert a buy back clause as i think he has the potential to be a right good player.

G67- i think Hayes might be out of contract?

2 years to go according to Transfermarkt. McGinn, Jack and Taylor are the three out of contract

Had chucked Cqn for thus evening but just watched the Michael Stewart & Broony interview….

I have always been a Broony fan, injury and personal tradegy apart he has been brilliant for us but in his own words this has been his best season, most tellingly talking about BR he bought into everything BR wanted to do and admitted he has made him a better player, some of his wee stories about Gordon Strachan are magic as well…….he loves our Gordon (so do I)

Broony gets us ……. And am sure our captain knows how it feels to be Celtic

This is fact, Kieran was gutted his new boot sponsor wanted him to wear green boots, the wee mhan wanted to wear black boots, and that is 100% not word of mouth

  19. Starry Plough,

    with you on this one,

surely we will be aiming for better than Hayes

Well then the player should tell the sponsor to GTF, lots of different sponsors out there. Someone with the profile of KT should, i imagine, have a few wanting him to endorse their products. Me i’d choose gold ones just like Paddy .

Just say no to pink boots CSC
