  1. 87,000 at Wembley. Biggest ever attendance for a Euro final (men or women) according to commentator.

  2. GG chance — their GK was out very quickly leaving little space to score.

Not a great strike but he was under a bit of pressure.

  3. RH — took a cheap shot at the base of the spine.

Looks like the Sheep were sent out to get more physical.

Guy lined up RH and then followed through.

Sore one which deserved a card..

Good controlled performance, good passing and movement, good goal from Welsh and then cracker from Jota. While Sky constantly tried to talk up Aberdeen’s chances (Haye’s apart) we were always in control and could have stepped up a gear if required. Roll on Kilmarnock

Few peeps mentioned that the signing of Jota and CCV didnt make us better than last year……

    Careful now.

Lest you be accused of picking an argument.

There’s a lot of egg shells on here who don’t like disharmony and you don’t want to go upsetting them.

In any case, as a matter of simple logic I don’t see how retaining players can be said to improve a team. It might avoid it getting worse, but it’s only maintaining the status quo ante.

On top of that there’s no Tom Rogic and that would have to go in the debit column.

I think any improvement in performance this season will be done to the team playing more cohesively as the players get more used to Angeball than to any individual signings.

A 2-0 win against a decent Aberdeen team while not close to our optimum performance .

    Can’t complain about that .

  7. Mad Mitch…I understand that you see yourself as ‘quirky’ with your over-use of initials, but why JNPF?

Firstly, it’s no shorter or quicker than typing Jota, and secondly, if you really do insist on being a d#ck, should it not be JPNF?

    Ticket prices?

  9. Worth repeating myself for any of you guys who were there – The Tifo was absolutely brilliant. Well done!

  10. Ernie – no idea. Hopefully plenty at family-friendly prices as women’s football can only benefit from this level of exposure.

Good performance all round today with a bit of ring rustiness. Quite happy with that. On another day we could have scored 4 or 5. Am I the only one that is just as happy for young Welsh to be playing as opposed to CS?

  12. Working on my Jobo 3, right now I’m pretty sure of 2.

Welsh & Jota, Probably O’Riley for number 3.

  13. Ange Postecoglou:

“I thought we started the game really well and had good control of it, then the last 15 minutes of the first-half, we got a bit slack with our passing and allowed Aberdeen to come into the game a bit as it became more open.

But in the second-half I thought we addressed that and controlled the game, but I just thought we needed to be a bit more decisive as we were wasteful in front of goal today.

I never felt threatened at any stage. There was no need for us to allow for that to creep into our game. I just thought we didn’t take our chances and we need to be more clinical.”

    My feelings in a nutshell.

  15. Ray – he played well. He is maturing so hopefully going to get better still. May not get too many chances this season unless there are injuries. I am guessing CCV and Jenz will be preferred pairing before long with Welsh and Starfelt in reserve.
