Not at our best against a stuffy sheep team, as I said at half time a few more shots from outside the box and hey ho, it worked, well deserved and we are only gonna get better and better.
As ever the ref, who is employed by the huns was cheating, expected, what’s the point in bitchin about it if our suits are happy with it, it will get us nowhere other than ridiculed.

happy with the win of course but we looks sloppy – it wasn’t crisp and fast flowing and pitch looked sticky. (maybe not)
We STILL have no bite in midfield I’m afraid. I can think of three motions where mcgregor failed to win challenges and Aberdeen created chances.
I’ve been consistently critical of this weakness in the celtic side – we get away with it mostly in Scotland. But I’m sorry for the reality check – that current team will get destroyed in champs league with a lack of physicality in the middle.
Mooy looked tidy but is one paced – reminds me of brown in his mid 30s.

Ange was clearly peeved and rightly so.
We really ought to have been ought of sight after first half hour.
Midfield trio started brightly with ORiley main threat.
However the service to Kyogo from out wide was lacking all day. Have to feel sorry for him. Kept making the right run but there was the repeated reluctance to play it to him between keeper and defender which is the one place he wants it.
I just thought there was too many assumptions being made by our clearly better players that the goals would come without actually making them come.
I am delighted with the win, including a goal from a set piece and a wonder strike, but just felt we had the opportunity to make a chilling statement for the rest.
Great to see Ange’s attitude post match. Jota’s brilliant goal wasn’t going to get him off Ange’s hook!
Big Giak really does get himself too excited. When he settled after a run in the team last year he was far more composed. He comes on today, should have had 1, maybe 2 but for a lack of composure. You’ve got this Big Man, calm the heid!!
Very much in control of the game however we have a massive weak spot when teams run directly at us.
They had a few chances and there’s always the risk of points being dropped when you have those glaring weaknesses.
Thankfully they didn’t have much going forward.
Not sure if it’s a spacing or tactical issue or personnel.
The back 4 were solid enough it’s the midfield structure that’s the worry.
Lots of joy down the wings back lack of final ball. But that will come.

Play a defensive midfielder against Aberdeen at home and we’ll create fewer chances. When we’re as profligate in front of goal as we were today I dont think thats a risk worth taking.
Aberdeen didnt run through us except for a 15 minute spell before half time when we dropped our running and started passing poorly, and pressing with less intensity. Ange said that exactly.
The way to stop it from happening isn’t to change the way we play, or bring in different players, its to do what we do, better, for the full 90 minutes.
If you watch a playback of Aberdeen’s goal today Hatate got caught up the pitch, he didnt make enough of an effort to get back with Johnny Hayes who had time to take a touch and pick his spot
Other than that period they didnt run through us. They changed in the second half to go long and it was even less effective. Our defensive players coped easily with the players we had in the formation we had.
A drop off in intensity at the end of the first half of competitive football is understandable, against a team who were playing their fourth game. We still finished the game the stronger of the two teams though, which is encouraging.
