  1. Donald or Donnelly, Stirling or Sterling? I’m getting more confused by the minute. :-)

    He is a major doubt.

If that Korean mob get knocked out of the olympics tonight, does Ki return straight back to the club, and will he be available for selection?

o.g.rafferty.sorry pal got the wrong ghuy.someone on here is nephew of a journalist called JOHN RAFFERTY .i thought it was you.maybe the real nephew will come on and let me know who he is.JOHN RAFFERTY was one of many TIMS who rose above the rabble and let the HUMS know we were on the move LOOK AT US NOW.

  6. The game today was disappointing but i will take the result. The pace of Forrest &

energy of Broony were missed but the midweek game in Helsinki is paramount to

our ambitions this season and as such I am sure our performance level will rise.

Congrats to the dons fans, a good turnout, their team is more physical & pacy than

    recent seasons.

Many thanks to all who organised yesterdays golf day at Aberdour. I have a friend

who is known as the man from mars. He though calls himself Ace Face.

When being introduced to people Ace Face produces an ace of hearts from his wallet and says” hi, I,m ace face”.

The reason I mention my strange but treasured friend is that when in pub/ boozer

ace face has been known to shout out the spelling of the word C O M P A N Y then

roar “COMPANY” when he is in a happy mood.

At Aberdour I was surrounded by good company.Days like yesterday spent in the company of many good Celtic men are highly valued by this poster.HH to you all.

Doubt it if PL is looking for a few bob for him.

Hopefully to fund purchase of much needed physically dominating line leader.

Also cannot understand why Lustig didn’t play today.

With Charlie out today I think it was a mistake not playing Lustig today. It was an opportunity to move his match fitness up. Big Vic should never have been at CD today. It was a day for Lustig or Wilson. I have a hunch he will go with Wilson, purely because of his pace.

Agree with your lineup. After today both Hooper and Stokes are not in good enough form nor can they play the lone striker role to be given a start in Helsinki- it has to Sammy up front, as he is so familiar with the role via the Greek national team.

Matthews at RB instead of Lustig and Brown at RM if he is fit. If not fit then same line up as your own.

We still have Paddy, McGeouch, Hooper, Watt, Stokes, Murphy or Forrest ( if fit) to come on for some much needed firepower ( hopefully not needed).

    PS

Would Forrest if he is fit be a possibility as a ‘wildcard’ for playing upfront himself…feeding off Commons in the ‘hole’? Just thinking about his pace and how it effected them in first game when he was running at them. Just an idea…or have I had too many Ciders?

Desperately hope your last sentence rings true!

  14. Celtic have never, ever played 4-1-4-1 while Neil Lennon has been manager at the club.

    NEVER!

But hey, let’s have a completely unfamiliar formation for the most crucial game of the season. Why not?

If we play 4-1-4-1 against Helsinki, that’s the cue to start bricking it right there.

I’ve no time for this inferiority complex that craves Celtic playing like the huns because we’re so terrified of conceding a goal. Play like that and it’ll not only be 90 mins of bamboo shoots under the fingernails torture football, but the opposition will end up sclaffing a goal/scoring from distance to send us tumbling out of Europe. If you really need evidence, watch the huns v Kaunas, or Malmo, or Maribor. It’s not something I would normally wish on anybody, but o be honest, if you advocate 4-1-4-1, you probably deserve to.

got roasted today at costa del Stirling Uni… son playing Loch Lomond 7s so have missed all Celtic stuff.. best bit today was pumping RFC supporter Boys Club 4-0!

  18. FAVOURITE UNCLE, 20:37

my moniker comes from a Cliftonville chant moments after the ball had bounced off the Linfield captain’s big arse and into the back of the net at the Reds end in the second minute of a famous 4-3 victory in the Irish Cup, first round, in 1979

  19. Am I the only one who thinks FF could speed up his distribution when throwing out the ball,in saying the watched at one point today and the 10 outfield players had their backs to him

Defo think it is an absolute necessity to go with Kayal and Big Vic in centre of mid in front of the back four…protecting them like an insurmountable wall. Also like the idea of Joe dropping out of that middle three and protecting Izzy…looking at all the various permutations and personnel on offer surely we are far too strong for them?

he threw it quickly and beyond the half way line on Wednesday and we managed to waste it. The whole team needs to be ready
