  1. Great score,i thought we stood off them first half , but we took our chances at vital times.Strange,as i don-t think we have been near top gear this season , specially in midfield. The difference is having a great manager, who has changed the mentality and belief, of players you would have given away a year ago.

  2. Listened to Dick Wilson on radio Shortbread, bemoan an own goal, and a deflection….then watched BT with Lineker, Gerard ,BBJ ,and Chris, compare and contrast…

  3. Just in frae the pub and soooo feckin happy! Don’t know who posted a while back about Brendan being a lucky manager but it struck a chord with me and I think he possibly may well be. That’s not to decry his coaching ability, knowledge or tactical nous but I just think he may also have that unique magic that you can’t put your finger on as things happened for us tonight at the right times, God I hope I’m right!

Anyway, Griff – outstanding, Nir – superb and Ntcham – an absolute feckin Monster in the making.

A few quality signings now and the same next year and we are building something really, really special.

Good night God bless bhoys and ghirls, Glasgow is green and white

  4. I couldn’t care less what anyone in the SMSM thinks. Brendan is a billion miles ahead of them. They are irrelevant much like their favourite team.

  5. The difference Ntcham made, and it’s something that’s been our Achilles Heel in Europe , is he keeps possession with a wide range of passes. Short, long, back, forward, he takes the ball and moves it on quickly. A deep lying playmaker when he matures and gets more experience.

I always think footballers perform better with clearly defined roles and a system that is properly implemented.

Armstrong being a perfect example .

Brendan is a very smart coach and set out to make the best of what he had last year and upgraded with a few .additions

I think he understood our midfield was very good in Scotland but needed to be smarter for Europe.

I believe Ntcham and Eboue were signed for such.

Roberts game became tactically better to go with his exceptional skill last season.

The guys like Ajer,Ralston and Miller all look to be more intelligent and tactical players than the youth of old.

This puzzle is starting to come together but i think it’s a season early for it show how great a set of coaches we have.

Also great to see Kennedy proving a lot of his doubters from Delia’s tenure wrong.I often said at that time poor centre midfield implementation exposed defenders who were unfairly maligned.

Was not surprised to see Boyata and Simunovic thrive in a proper playing system

  7. Brown was great Ntcham superb MOTM. He is a fantastic capture.

Ref excellent game – clash of heads wasn’t accidental. The Astana guy was late, took out Rogic deliberately and was duly booked.

  8. That might not have been our first eleven tonight if all were fit, however the inclusion of Ralston and Hill on the bench was very interesting, would not be surprised if Ralston plays at Rugby park on Saturday, BR is giving people responsibilty when he feels they are ready and they want to impress when given the chance, this creates the right kind of motivation if you want to stay in the team be better than who is next in line.

    That team performance was incredible.

    Im still buzzing.

    Astounding.

Magnificent supporters, and a very special manager in Brendan.

    Beautiful to behold:)

Hill? It was Ralston, Miller and Ajer from the young team on the bench tonight. Would expect all three to feature on Saturday.

  11. Gary 67

Quite right, yes so would I at least 2, Ajer knows that surface having been on loan and Mikel will get a rest I think, will he leave KT out, not sure.

  12. I heard a good joke at the Festival yesterday from Barry Cryer.

He was talking about the pitfalls of celebrity endorsement and told us about the Chef Anthony Worral-Thompson marketing a pack of sausages with a big picture of himself eating a sausage off a fork, on the front of the packaging. However, underneath the pic, the cooking suggestions were listed so all you could see was the pic with the first line of the cooking instructions underneath, which were…………

    Prick with a fork.

Quite brilliant tactical performance from Brendan tonight. We have a squad of players capable of many styles. If you can’t enjoy being a Celtic supporter right now maybe a rethink of recreational time. is required.

I don’t like to tease myself with thoughts of what might be but this is a team on the verge of something special. If supporting Celtic is sweet right now is sugar time.Enjoy.

    FOREVER AND EVER!

  14. Glasgow Celtic – Thank You.

I tell you what – Oli looks to be a belter.

5-0 at this stage is mega. Superb crowd tonight.

The Highest of pressure and Celtic were just awesome.

    Njoi.

  15. Always glad to see qualifying games out of the way, too many factors can impact on results, but we do seem to have reached a standard where the worryometer can be recalibrated.

  18. No weaknesses tonight, but I must mention Nir Bitton. After a couple of loose passes, he was solid. What a night! And it’s on BT3 again now!

  19. PETEC on 17TH AUGUST 2017 12:28 AM

It would be a fantastic week if Stuart signs an extension. Fingers crossed.

    No need, it’s happening :))

  20. PETEC on 17TH AUGUST 2017 12:27 AM

Just seen the results from tonight. Looks like we will have to play from pot 4. Bring em all on.

Olympiakos only beat 10 man Rejika 2-1 at home so still a chance we move up to Pot 3.

  21. Listen, I’m here alllllll night for you Hun monkeys and doubting Thomases that derided my 5-0 predictions yesterday AND today.

Pish, they were, and pumped not out of 2nd gear.

17/2 the Hoops -3 and 16/1 the Hoops to score 5+.

What a beautiful night. What a beautiful occassion.

Our kid – YES, your 50/1 for 5-0 hit. LOL Cash coming your way before the Killie game Saturday.

God Bless the Bhoys in green. Won it like CHAMPIONS.

  22. Just watching Brendan’s presser on Celtic TV, says he knows players inside out and he will decide if Bitton plays centre half and not those in media. A wee dig at Sutty.
