Just heard today that Kano’s Ghirl won’t run on Monday at Ayr. Don’t know why yet.

The point I’m making is that – my friends young sons and friends heard it being sung and the impression I’m getting is that certain folk were planted in that specific area to sing it. The folk who sung it were described to me as being ‘scary’ and not like the normal Cellic support who travel down south, but when my friends young sons and friends got away from there and nearer to the stadium the atmosphere was as normal amongst the Celtic support. Also, I wouldn’t rule out ‘plants’ throwing stuff onto the pitch the other night as well. During the week I’ll try to get more info – pubs etc.

I don’t expect us to sit back and not question anything as its the very ethos of our club is to question authority and what happens around and to us, But the name slinging and snide comments against fellow Fans is a bit much, there’s not been much today but going by the mood since the game its reaching those levels again. I can question and have opinions that great but thats just it,Its an opinion. Kevj has his and says stuff that rattles cages so does Kojo, Have you ever thought that, that is exactly what they are looking for. Pinch of salt needed and lots of patience needed on here lately.
Me, I’m all about Celtic and what’s best for the club. I think PL is doing well but like many others i feel he has dropped the ball on a few occasions in the past and this week with regards to GH but as they say is my OWN opinion.

I never comment on other posts on CQN as I don’t feel it is my place even though I have read every post for the past half decade. however, I can’t let the past few days go without comment.
The other night there were planted posters on here bringing the word ned in to play to describe the GB. It was agenda driven by enemies of Celtic. Lets be clear- The Green Brigade are fantastic for us and are the envy of other clubs in Britain.
The other worry for me is that there are posters here who genuinely believe our club is not being run correctly. These are good Celts but seem to think that we are all sheep and they are totally correct.
We Celtic fans are among the brightest, most enlightened group of any kind in my experience and I would reckon approval ratings for Celtic’s management on and off the park would be as follows;
Approval rating for DD, PL and NL among Celtic fans- 75%
Approval rating among Celtic supporters-85%
Approval rating for Celtic’s management among people who have ever ran their own business for more tan 10 minutes – 99.99%.
We have never had it so good.
That’s not to say the club should not be constantly striving to get better every year.
We all have our opinions but saying we are not run well is just mental.

Bit of a shambles there- apologies
Makes sense nally81 as the mood over the past few night has been OTT in the Negatory, I love reading the posts and falling asleep at night with a grin at a funny or a story or word play but the past few nights have been very hard to read.
Not sure though about a plant, But there has been plenty of new posters of late, alot more than usual.

Half time today German subs in a big circle. One touch if the 2 guys in the middle touched ball swap places.
Celtic subs 40 yards away fae each other kicking the ball to each other. 5 touches to control it
During game one team playing short fast passes the other trying the long ball over the top. Guess which team won.

Noticed that today myself and said to young Palacio thats the difference in professionalism between the sides. BM used the 15 mins for a real training session, the Celtic players looked as if they were on a jolly.
Does Paul67 sit in the Jock Stein upper? Seen someone who looked very like him.

Last time I phoned Shug was to tell him that I thought Beram Kayal was the best player to replace the just left Vic67.
I told Shug that – “Neil had made comparisons wi himself and Beram after some excellent performances in both their 1st seasons and rightly so. I also said that Neil had made it public that he wanted to extend BK’s contract and would be doing so in the near future. Cue the PL stalling tactics in the hope that we’d get sumdy from down south to make a bid for him.
This went on for a few months and ended up messing BK’s head up to the extent that, one day at Rugby Park BK asked to get subbed. That told me that BK felt used by PL / DD whoever and a slap in the face for Neil from PL/ DD whoever.
Needless to say – Shug didny print that ? Conspiracy ? :)

Guys…I have worked in the media for nigh on 30 years and I know, or at least have been in the company of every single person connected with Scottish football who gets mentioned on this site…players, managers, chairmen, journos, p.r. people (yes, Jack Irvine too), even our host, Paul 67…(charming man!)…So, let’s talk about McLean, Nevin and the S C final…love them or loathe them, they did not hear any sectarian singing on that day and indeed were surprised when told by the O.B. director to mention it…this director (a Celtic hating jambo) was informed by a track-side reporter that some fans were singing ‘the boys of the old brigade’…he pounced on that, perhaps he was waiting for that…and the director is the man in charge, the decision maker…and the rest, as you know, is history…this story came to me from the horse’s mouth…and not from Nevin……just thought I’d mention it…

My sentiments EXACTLY…..!!!
What is the story about Christian Atsu, is it just a story or are we genuinely in for the guy?
This would be a serious acquisition and would indeed signal our intent to go further in the CL this coming season.
I know ‘We have never had it so good.’ might rub some posters up the wrong way but the Stein years were 50 years ago, the majority of Celtic fans were never fortunate to see those years. Most of us had to put up with the 90s and this is now our golden years.
Okay , still not grabbing me , although ” weebobbycollins” providing a different perspective. I see the magnificent Ken Burns American Civl War doc`s are back on PBS America….time for some knowledge gathering.

The young Australian player- rated by Willie Wallace as best 18 year old in Australia – arrived in Glasgow today. While he will be at the game midweek I decided that today he should watch the 1967 European Cup Final!
He was astonished at the performance from Celtic and the fact that Willie played in two European Cup Finals.
He has a Serbian background and this will be important if Celtic want him to stay. He plays in the VW position.

Quite right. My old man can’t even be bothered getting excited for the champions league because we have no chance of winning it!!
He grew up watching Celtic beating the best and lording it over the the rest of Europe. Not just simply competing but dominating great teams.
His opinion is there is no point being in it, unless we are in it to win it.
Of course I grew up watching teams in the eighties and nineties who never saw European football after November nevermind Christmas. For me this is the best we have had it and I am thoroughly enjoying it. Long may it continue
