Hoping for a draw here in Embra derby as replay is a week on Wednesday so our fixture against Hearts at home will be postponed – a midweek rest for the squad.

You agree ;l;argely with Neganon. That’s up to you.

Celtic are an multifaceted organisation. It will never be perfect, but is there a better one in the country ?

Neganon2 should go back to the days when he just came on and typed expletives about Celtic supporters. He was clearer then.

That’s pretty snide Isuppose, but true nevertheless. Allowing him the platform to make such insinuations is detrimental, dangerous but above all else so wrong unfair.

He, me & you have done nowt other than type words on CQN.

It’s amazing that he has the balls to have a go at the few who have constructed the only tangible opposition.

No problems. No offence taken, not my fault I am powerless before predictive text.

It is a boring Sunday, sometimes that is a good thing. I have a proper shite week ahead, only enlightened by meeting up with the Lhad in London midweek. Hopefully watching the Hoops on Tuesday, even if it will be on the phone , will also be a highlight.

Spot on. The prerequisite of forgiveness as “hypothesized” by The International Forgiveness Institute is acknowledgement of wrong doing and that has been aggressively denied by football authority and sports media who depend on football for a living since 2011.

I say aggressive because it has been an attack on collective reason, a twisting of reality to create or even perpetuate an illusion that defies belief and will disappear in time.

Even the admission of an honest mistake would help but there has been more than one to believe honesty was ever present.

  5. Watching hearts v Hibs, why they all seem to struggle with throw ins amazes me. Its like a liability if you get one.

Late 68 saw the toilets at my Uni becoming a locus for political satire . Somebody was in the habit of replacing the bog issue Izal style stuff with sheets of similar style bearing the image of Enoch Powell and the words — Enoch Says Colour Me Brown . Went on for months and then stopped .

*Winter 1974 during the tory party’s 2nd 3 day week in 2 years, on an elevator wall in Hiram Walker’s was scribbled “don’t be stupid, vote for ted, 3 days at work and 4 in your bed”.

For younger readers it should be noted that during both government induced workplace shutdowns which were put in place in another effort to turn support against the miners, those affected by it were entitled to “broo” money and as Saturday was classed as a workday then they got 3 days pay.

    Thanks for that.

It has not surprised me that the two snidest comebacks on forgiveness have come from those carrying a strong resentment over a long period.

Might have touched a nerve, but no pain no gain.

I hope you have a better trip to London than mine three weeks ago. Two hours from Paddington to Wimbledon,a total disaster but for the excellent company.

And I’ve had to call off my trip to Maldon in a fortnight for similar reasons.

Both tube lines between Paddington and Liverpool St down, and can only get a train from Ingatestone. Eh,where?

Last time that happened,it took me five hours all told. And I still had the same journey to negotiate on the way back-but only to Reading, cos it was a bus from there to Swindon.

I swear the railway companies hack my mails and plan these things deliberately!!!

here is what Khalil Gibran has to say about pain and as I said it is as if he was referring particularly to “Rangers” the culture.

And a woman spoke, saying, “Tell us of Pain.”

    And he said:

Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.

Even as the stone of the fruit must break, that its heart may stand in the sun, so must you know pain.

    And could you keep your heart in wonder at the daily miracles of your life, your pain would not seem less wondrous than your joy;

And you would accept the seasons of your heart, even as you have always accepted the seasons that pass over your fields.

And you would watch with serenity through the winters of your grief.

Much of your pain is self-chosen.

====>It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self. <==========

Therefore trust the physician, and drink his remedy in silence and tranquillity:

For his hand, though heavy and hard, is guided by the tender hand of the Unseen,

And the cup he brings, though it burn your lips, has been fashioned of the clay which the Potter has moistened with His own sacred tears.

On the matter of Self Forgiveness and a dialogue with the IFI its at this link for those who want thought provoked.

I’m pretty sure you didn’t include me in that comment about snide remarks. Nevertheless, there has been little to justify that suggestion.

Snide implies underhand and indirect. That has never been the case with disagreements on this issue. And that may well be the problem, that with few exceptions, people see the issue in black or white, right or wrong.

When you have a shortage of grey areas, you have nowhere to begin a discussion,no way of changing minds.

    Snide,naw. Far from it.

  11. CLOGHER CELT @ 11:05 AM,

Excellent post, forgiveness is not only necessary it is empowering, that was a profound and informative post.

I think GREENINBINGLEYINOSLO, though I obviously can’t speak for him, was stating in his post that their can be no forgiveness without the wrong doer acknowledging their transgression.

I.e. We can’t be forgiven by God at confession without really sincerely being sorry for our sins.

Likewise as a society, we do not release prisoners on parole until they have admitted their guilt.

So, as in his example if a Bully carries on regardless how can he be forgiven?

Personally I tend to what you wrote, Forgivness is an individual thing, it is our decision to Forgive… not always easy, far from it.

It is also important we learn to Forgive ourselves, as was mentioned we all Err, but even if we have transgressed and any injured parties may hold a grudge, feeling low or guilty about it restricts us. Understanding where we went wrong, apologising, making amends, forgiving ourselves and moving on is hugely important.

    Great Post

Bobby. Forgiveness comes when mistakes are admitted and acknowledged and lessons learnt.

=======> None of that has happened. In fact we are being told there is something wrong with us if we don’t just move on. <======

I wonder what prize Paul and auldheid will get for their part in this?

    ========================

You are not being told anything, if the idea of forgiveness provoked that thought in you it is your thought.

Own it and don't try to pin it on anyone else.

If you take the time to read my response to you which tells you exactly where I am coming from, and says exactly what you have just said about admitting wrong, think about why you took my posts on forgiveness differently. If it was because you were unaware of the Truth and Reconciliation blog fair enough, but if it was because you wanted it to fit your idea of collusion between Paul, myself and The Board, nothing could be further from that narrative.

  16. Hertz v Hibs….. I cannot abide Sky Sports however in this case I would vouch for them if they withhold the fee to both clubs.

This is not football and certainly not entertainment.

  17. Just watched the first half of that game in Edinburgh. Absolutely boring. Sadly John McGinn has not turned up yet.

  18. Dreadful game, occasional one twos around the box do not make football matches , kick outs resemble line outs in Rugby, both teams very physical a mistake will win this for either team.

It was the Fair Maid of Perth that done my head in.

The bridge from Calton English to Sir Walter Scoot English was a bridge too far.

However Chips Rafferty (remember him) saved my book reading future by giving us The 39 Steps by John Buchan as our test novel, I never looked back after that.

Agreed. Southampton v Spurs looking a better option.

  21. I have no idea why so many Celtic fans want our club to sign Mc Ginn.Every one of our midfielders are far superior to him.So many times he is brainless, headless chicken mode.Yes he has great energy, and some skills, but nowhere near good enough for us.Broonys replacement will most definitely be Eboue.

  23. I suspect whats published in the Johnjames site regarding DD is correct. That Lawwell is being insulated from any res 12 reality because its Dermot Desmond that wants res 12 dead and buried. Always did.

Apparently Lawwell will be handed his P45 by the Macroom mustachio if handed any res 12 bullets “to be fired”. What a joke.

Res 12 began when Morrissey approached Celtic with a document regarding the SFA crime about a year after said crime in the summer of 2012. He was unceremoniously dumped out of Celtic park by a couple of “bouncers” with his self prepared document. The subsequent outrage was taken up by the other res 12 guys culminating in the AGM in 2013. CQN tried to get in on the act a few years later although CQN was the platform used for its orginal communication.

    hen1rik and Neganon are correct.

There will be no bullets fired. There will be a kumbaya party for the edification of pensioners, priests and happyclappers but there will be no consequences for the SFA who baby sat the worst scandal in sporting history here in Scotland.

What Awe Naw and me told Morrissey at the beginning still stands.

    Celtic will do nothing

    Green huns will hate you

Blue huns will want to kill you.

    Just drop it.

    Oh bhoy were we right!

and dont give me any of this wait and see drivel….

  24. So today we learn that the SFA are in cahoots with the huns as usual. However, the more insidious claim this time is that professional footballers at Hamilton and Kilmarnock for example are deliberately being unsettled to facilitate loan deals to Scotlands national club. What next? Give them Hampden?

Exactly. That was the reasoning back in the day of the Finnbogason debate. The guy who is apparently a dud, despite being third top scorer in the Bundesliga, only behind Lewandowski and Aubameyang.

For what it is worth I heard Celtic not at all happy with SFA not taking “Rangers” to task over McInness.

I just hope the Board are like Tam O Shanter’s wife, nursing their wrath to keep it warm.

  29. TURKEYBHOY @ 3:01 PM,

For me the jury is still out on John McGinn, yet I take your point.

Many were using his last game against us and his performance against Broonie as indicative of his abilities.

I saw it differently, few Coaches know the holding midfield role better than Lenny, few Coaches know Scott better than Lenny.

McGinn was well Coached in that match to stop Broonie playing, he’s been our fulcrum this Season and to a great extent the plan succeeded.

Now it would have been important to Lenny, McGinn and all the Hibs staff to produce a good performance and get a result from us.

Thing is at what cost? How much time and resources did Hibs put into that performance? When in fact, if you look at their results before and after that match, arguably their most important games, they failed to get the results they needed.

That’s what I like about BR, he is focussed on what are Celtics real priorities…

Most clubs maximise their power for games they can win,cos points make prizes. Not a lot of point winding down for a fortnight either side just to take one point against the top dogs.

That,of course,is elsewhere. Scotland, playing Celtic is regarded as a cup-tie. Shoot yourself in the foot by all means, just try 200% against them and you’ll be fine.

I’m grateful to your brother for his efforts, and for CANAMALAR in getting it going. And also to much-missed STEINREIGNEDSUPREME for goading CANAMALAR into it in the first place.

Yes,you and C were right, but have you ever backed away, even when you know the likely pitfalls, when you know you’re right?

I’d like to think I haven’t either. I’ve got a minor situation at work at the moment, and I’ll be taking it all the way. I’m grateful that the Res 12 Gang of Four have done the same.

And,as you say,at great personal cost.

  32. Tynecastle pitch is really poor, hard to play any sort of football on it. Tough one for Hibs.

I suspect whats published in the Johnjames site regarding DD is correct. That Lawwell is being insulated from any res 12 reality because its Dermot Desmond that wants res 12 dead and buried. Always did.

The DD stuff came from a post by Henrik not JJ.

As I read JJ he said Regan was busy trying to get a whitewash report.

Which suggests Res12 achieved its aim of getting answers that will stand scrutiny by comparing what the SFA report says with what it doesn’t.

I believe you met a gentleman in Lisbon who may have given you a slightly different DD narrative from that posted by Henrik?

As to the who is responsible for Res12, Morrissey was a late if vital arrival on the scene, Canalamar took the centre, the midfield and he passed it around and Morrissey stuck it in the net after 30 passes. Brendan would have been proud.

Sadly you may be right on the outcome, we will have to wait and see. A lot will depend on how angry folk get if fobbed off.

The question for you and Aw Naw is would you rather be right in your advice than wrong?

If you are right I leave you with a recent Tweet from BRTH

Well, if it ever reaches a final conclusion, goes nowhere, is never discussed in future then there is only one conclusion. Scottish Football is finished, Celtic Park becomes a greyhound or speedway track and about 2000 hardy souls will enjoy their Saturday afternoons there. Simple
