    You have also recently been telling us that the board have been active but I see no evidence of that and as you can gather I don’t trust the board (they frequently lie to us and there is evidence of that). I am pretty sure that the sfa compliance officer and the sfa will quietly bury the investigation and Celtic will say and do nothing.

    =============================

    I don’t recall saying that The Board have been active.

    What I recall saying, without looking back, was that the SFA have been active. It did not involve Celtic at all but I don’t think that was made clear.

    I was deliberately coy because I want to stay neutral and not give any meaning one way or another on the nature of that activity, but what happened was the SFA contacted the Res12 lawyer for a document they did not have.

    There may be some significance in that or there may not so for now all we know for sure is an investigation is taking place.

    The Res12 lawyer has a lot more to offer if the SFA ask and they really should.

    Celtic’s position is quite clear and hard to argue against. There is a Disciplinary Process that all clubs including Celtic signed up to and that is underway. It would be damaging in the pursuit of the truth if Celtic were seen to be trying to influence that process in any way.

    That process according to previous Compliance Officer is he gathers the evidence, checks if any rules have been broken and makes a case to a Judicial Panel of three chosen from a list who will sit in judgement based on the evidence.

    That is when Celtic will have to decide what their position is.

    Everything else is gossip/conjecture/speculation.

  4. Interesting reading people’s view on Edouard yesterday, seemed he had a decent game,I was driving and was regularly reminded by Keevins and Bfdj that he was contributing nothing and should be subbed .

  5. The Jags at home. Not bad.

    That Amy McDonald is rather a strange looking woman, not a bit like I remember her- a ‘lovely’ blonde with a squeeky voice.

  14. Auldheid I find celtic’s stance illogical for the following reasons;

    The sfa has refused to have an enquirer into the wider events. This is in spite of the now settled legal agreements in relation to ebts etc. The Celtic board said they would wait for the legal proceedings to be finalised before they would act.

    So why aren’t the board acting? Or is expressing surprise and disappointment the best we can hope for.

    The res12 matter is separate (though part of the bigger malaise). It’s an important matter but the impression I have is that all the eggs are now in the res12 basket. I am pretty sure the sfa will bury it.

    What then Celtic will opine on the other matters? Act? Why not do it now and bring pressure to bear on the sfa . The sfa investigating itself is never going to end well? Celtic should be saying this should be an external investigation?

    Hibs player went to retrieve ball in Hertz tech’ area. Levein whacks/shoves him in the side and squares up to him. like I said, if it had been Lenny…!

  16. I don’t do home cup ties. I Boycotted yesterday’s, and to make sure I stuck to my principles my wife flew me to Furteventura.

    I’ve just told her we’re at home to Partick next. Can’t wait to see where she takes me to!

  17. NegAnon2 on 21st January 2018 4:26 pm

    Two possibilities.

    Wait for a plausible explanation from SFA.

    Give them enough rope….

    We will have to wait and see.

    Res12 was always the best bet for change in my judgement. It had locus, it had evidence and there is a link to LNS.

    However Chips Rafferty (remember him) saved my book reading future by giving us The 39 Steps by John Buchan as our test novel, I never looked back after that.

    *here’s another of my useless wee bits of trivia:

    John Buchan, 1st Baron Tweedsmuir was a Scottish novelist, historian, and Unionist politician who served as Governor General of Canada, the 15th since Canadian Confederation.

    His son Johnnie also a 1st Baron of Tweedsmuir, after a period in the Colonial Administrative Service in Uganda he contracted dysentery and was forced to leave Africa on health grounds, he went to join his parents in Canada in 1936, here he joined the Hudson’s Bay Company.

    He was allegedly instrumental in setting up the company called Bramalea Limited in 1957 who created the town of Bramalea, Canada’s first satellite city, and home of the 2nd largest CSC world wide.

  20. Hi Bhoys

    Watching a wee bit of rugby on BTSPORTS 2. They are playing at Coventry City’s Ricoh Arena.

    You want to see what they are doing to a football pitch. I hope Coventry don’t intend to play silky soccer for the rest of the season.
