I’d give him a season as I think he’ll win the league no matter how bad he is, but no way the general support would. He’ll get until the end of November in real terms.

I have had Celtic fans telling me that the genuine benefits of a healthy, sport science(d) diet can take 3 to 4 months to manifest themselves…
… and that in 12 months time we’ll be the envy of most European teams.
An hour or so later. After I’ve stopped laughing, I text them back to ask them if they’re drunk.

Really can’t see how anyone can call for the head of RD.
How is it his fault Stokes/ Guidetti/Commons can’t score with gilt edged chances?

a) a manager with a decent track record at a decent level in the game
b) a manager with no track record or experience at a senior level

How can a manager be to blame when his players contrived to miss at least 6 sitters?
Never mind sacking RD, sack the players who are under performing

I think its until end of November – Because:
If he is still around in December then he will be involved(to some extent) in player in/out in Jan – this takes him to Feb – and if you change him in Feb the new man has no influence on players in/out
If you change in January – then new man has no or limited time to get his players in/out in Jan
And if he is 5 points or even 2 points behind going into march April can you imagine the nerves ??
And just for clarity NOT winning the league would be the single biggest failure in Celtics history
End of November Ronny top of the league or go

If we compare the current situation to when Moyes took over from Ferguson, IMHO it is very similar. He lost the dressing room and the rest is history. I don’t think the current players have an ounce of respect for Deila. The problem is that a manager of the status of Van Gaal has STILL not got it sorted out despite bizarre spending because the rot set in too early and was unchecked. Decisive action is required.
mickbhoy1888 on
Ronny Deila is still competing in 4 competitions due to an administrative error on the part of the Legia Warsaw secretary not because of his tactical brilliance

so far, have you seen any evidence that he has the capability to do that ?
i dont think anyone would say we were a club on the rise, (unless you mean our bank balance) but i dont think many expected our decline this season to be so sharp

I suspect the diet issue is being overplayed by some. Ronnie did not make a big deal of it.

I, for one, don’t consider winning the league to be a given. In fact I would say it’s unlikely if the current form continues.
There are a few decent teams in our league but we rely on our relative consistency to see us forge ahead while they all take points off each other.
I’m afraid we have now joined them in that.
We are liable to drop points to ANY of our competitors, home or away.

Was the tempo good today?
Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal
Both teams played 442, both played with 1 “holding midfielder”. Arsenal hardly created a chance.

We are in for a hard title race, if you are not up for the scrap then flounce off now.
=======
The thing is a hard title race is the POINT of football.
A competitive league is good for the game.
Crowds dwindle because the league is not competitive so give the support a competitive league.
That will make them happy or will it?
I thought Hamilton were a credit to themselves but we helped with missed chances.
Dundee Utd were beaten by an improving Kilmarnock.
Aberdeen just scraped by Dundee.
In spite of our inconsistent form we are 6 points behind but with a game in hand.
So what is it supporters want?
A walk in the park or a game of football?
Watched a few of the Celtic players have a pop at their team-mates too, today.
This isn’t looking good.
so lets imagine RD quit tomorrow of his own accord
