  1. Jude2005, no not laughing, this isn’t funny.

We are poor right now, no question.

Ronny may not be the man to manage Celtic, and frankly if he walked now I wouldn’t be unhappy.

But he hasn’t had enough time to shape his own team, to put his own stamp on the team.

He probably doesn’t have all the players he would want.

I’m not putting in a full endorsement of Ronny, I’m just not shouting for his resignation.

  2. Well at least Craig Gordon came up for a corner for us this time, so that was good.

Meanwhile, I think a mutual consenting will be on the cards before too long.

In my opinion we have played one, just one, good game since Ronny arrived and that was the DUTD game. The EL results were just amazingly lucky ones where our goal keeper was man of the match.

  3. What is the Stars on

Its been obvious to me from day one that Ronny was either out of his depth/a fantasist/a cheap option/a compete spoofer.whatever you like to call him

A top level manager of a professional football team he aint

It was a disgrace to appoint him,an insult to every celtic supporter from Peter Lawwell

    Do the decent thing now

It is only a matter of time

The sooner he goes the better

  4. glendalystonsils on

Think we’re gonny have to borrow Tony Mowbray’s chin for Ronny.

I would give him no more than another month.

  5. i wonder if it would be “too early” to get rid off RD if the huns were still around

as bad as he is, i still havent considered that he is so bad that he cant win a one horse race…

  6. bournesouprecipe on

Yes, I agree we need boardroom change but not for another floating voter like Ian Bankier (who could have ended up at Diedbrox.)

At least the bold bhoy Peter (who may have screwed up again) has some cojones, when he likes.

The fact that RD will get him longer than gormless Tony Mowbray.

Have we plans, to dismantle the top tier yet?

That is the way they protect the status quo, sell tickets for half a stadium, a lower tier club, and continual downsizing.

    Voila……….. gubbed by Hamilton

If you remove the Dundee Utd result as a statistical blip, Celtics league record is

    Played 7

    Won 3

    Drawn 2

    Lost 2

    Goal difference +3

  8. TBJ says Wee Oscar Knox is in heaven with the angels on

    A dire performance today

Defence almost got pass marks as did Brown

Johanson was terrible all day … Wakaso and tonev terrible for the time they were on the park

Stokes tried hard but wasn’t his day with a few bad misses … KC was terrible with a few bad misses .. Guidetti was poor with a couple of bad misses but should have had a stone wall pen

What to do ? Tempted to say sack the manager but think we need to give him until Christmas

My day wasn’t a complete wash out though as I met wee jay and his dad before the match . The look on the wee guys face when john Kennedy came over and shook his hand . Then jk went to the players and pointed out jay to then with all wAving to him

“Emdae really know why Guiddetti was subbed??”

Because he can’t play for 90 minutes due to his injury problems.

  10. For those of you without a SatNav, we are on the outskirts of Mowbrayland. If we continue in the same direction we will enter it in a couple of weeks.

  11. Joe Filippis Haircut on

Berget Wackoso Tonev in my opinion are not Celtic quality and they should be returned to there clubs as soon as there loan period is over the Jury is out on Guidetti and we should continue to monitor the player remember we still have Boerichter and Balde and it makes you think who is watching these players before we sign them ? We are likely to lose our two centre backs at the end of the season overall our current situation doesnt look good.H.H.

Bloody hell man he has failed!! End of!!!!

    ——–

He hasn’t failed yet, he’s still in 4 competitions. Could still end the season with a treble (I know I know), but we have to give him a few more months.

The players are the big problem, I really hope come January (no matter the manager) we are ditching the likes of Stokes, Matthews, Lustig etc (some form some fitness)

  13. Prof green

I don’t disagree mate. It’s poor poor fare at present but the problems do not lie solely on the head of Deila.

We are now a business first and a football club second. The main objective is to ensure the balance sheet remains healthy whilst ensuring the suits get their very generous remuneration packages.

Part of that means ensuring we get a manager who will be the same as the players he is handed to work with….a project.

That will see us continue to fall at an alarming rate.

Matter of time before we start taking on a manager on a loan deal………….

  14. Theoriginalsadoesbhoy

I only saw second half and with each missed chance I felt worse for the manager.

We were atrocious in front of goal. No other word to describe it.

The game is about results, results come from goals. Goals open teams up as they try to equalise. (as happened to us)

I doubt I saw a clean strike all game apart from the Hamilton goal.

Mishit or half hit shots, soft headers .

Stokes and Commons were the most guilty but everyone seemed in on the let’s fluff the next one act.

Goals not only win games they improve performance levels as players play with just a bit more confidence.

Having watched Mowbray ‘ s team and this one there is no comparison.

We are where we are. There is no magic wand but RD has to have a long hard look at whom he is putting his fate in and decide who is less likely to let him down.

Today Stokes and Commons did. On Thursday they did not.

I’d be looking elsewhere in the squad.

  15. DubaiBhoy (nee LondonBhoy) on

I watched the game online. It was 0-1 going on 10-1.

We played fine, we honestly did. On another day we would have won that at a canter.

The finishing was inept from Stokes on at least 3 occasions. Guidetti, Denayer and Griffiths also missed sitters.

The manager made one terrible decision today. Taking off Guidetti and not Stokes. And bringing on Griffiths and not Scepovic.

Crosses rained in throughout the second half but we were back to the start of the season. No target man and nobody who can head the ball.

The football on show was of a good quality until the ball reached the box. Then it was schoolboy stuff.

Not the managers fault, other than the bizarre substitution.

how do we distinguish if the players are bad or the manager is bad

some of the players were here last season and were virtually unbeaten in the league

most of the new signings or loanees are duds though

    but who signed the duds?

and most importantly, did any of the accies players eat chips last week

  19. Neganon2

Had a similar comment from a poster during the week.

Quick answer…… RD is still in 4 competitions. NFL was out of the league cup to Morton this time last year.

  20. BOBBY MURDOCH'S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on

All I want is that everyone associated with Celtic is successful.

Every player, every manager. Every Chief Executive.

It’s still very much my ideal but I’m struggling to see how a manager will succeed when he refuses to change the game plan.

I could see the writing on the wall with that set-up today from early on.

Sadly I’m beginning to see the writing on the wall full stop for our management duo. And that is a sad thing to think about.

I watched the game today with my sisters and my Dad. Afterwards he said that he could not recall Hamilton winning at Celtic Park.

He’s 76 in January. And correct as usual.

  21. a light insanity on

Reactionary cocktails anyone? One drink and the bubble is burst.

Though I have to say I can’t fathom how managers play 2 in midfield.

  22. i see stokes is taking pelters,

how can this be? he has lost a stone therefore he must be brilliant?

I agree with Doc. Way too early to be judging anyone.

The trouble today was that the players still don’t know each other well enough to predict the next move without having to think about it. Once they start playing instinctively we’ll see a different game.

I’m more worried about what JC’s input to management team is? He’s there to guide Ronny through what was obviously predictied to be a bedding in period.

It’ll all come good, it’ll just take time.

    Chill out. :)

The ‘other day’ will never cut it, when you’ve just lost to Hamilton.

  25. Bhoys, not long back in from a stunning Day Yesterday, Huge Thanks for all the good wishes.

And I’ve got the new Mr & Mrs Wright with me :-)

Just about to head back oot, as we now head off on Holiday

Honeymooners off to Mexico, my wife and I off to Grenada (Caribbean) to celebrate 30 years of bliss next weekend :-)

I now hope and Pray that by the time I get back, some of the superstars we have as players, can find their touch, and our Management team learn how to set us out as a team which can win and dominate games

Not good enough Celtic, in all areas

Hail Hail, my next post will be from the Caribbean, Mon or Tues :-)

    —————-

Even if the manager is a dud, i’d be more worried that we have players that don’t want to perform despite picking up thousands a week. I’d rather they were gone before any manager/coach.

I’m sick of the money we waste on basically wasters.

  27. Just making my way back from the game and am angry. I’m angry because I actually CAN believe what I saw… and wish I didn’t.

I said within the first two games of the season, back in July, that the manager was out of his depth and the job was too much for him. I said, harsh though it may seem, the Board must cut their losses now and let him go before the rot sets in. We have made no progress since then and rot is setting in!

  28. the first time hamilton have won at CP in 75 years

  29. BIG-CUP-WINNERS on

I can’t fathom what is being attempted just now.

For weeks I’ve watched left footed players play on the right wing and inevitably turn inside. Whilst we play right footers on the left………

Behind them we have full backs who cannot deliver a cross.

The Guidetti substitution today was mystifying. Either Stokes or Commons (he had a nightmare today) were so obviously needing hooked.

Was the managerial decision as simple as, “we are not scoring let’s change the

    striker” ?
