    A quote for everything…………

Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, “Let me take the speck out of your eye,” when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye. (Matt. 7:1-5)

  5. My friends in Celtic,

We, or the vast majority of us use sweary words in the boozer etc. It can be a great way to emphasise points and can even be humorous. But there is a time and place for everything; and the blog imo is not the place.

Personally I am glad the blog has standards, it is one of the traits that differentiates it from the rest.

Anyway , there are better adjectives and nouns to put on paper that all can read quite happily and still make the point coherently and within the rules.

Some may say the use of sweary words constitutes a lack of vocabulary. I would never dream of using that viewpoint to the educated posters of CQN.

I’m hopeful that HAMILTONTIM or another of our famed collective of ticket hunters will come up with a result.

The family outing to Killie is a regular and much-anticipated event. A cracking dayoooot,in fact. And also the venue for my last Celtic game, the TR screamer game.

Oh we enjoyed that one,I can tell you!

Eddie and I watched it live over here.

The calibre of the goal matched it`s importance at that particular time for Ronnie .

For us over here , the success of Tom Rogic has additional significance , as you would guess.

The profile of Celtic in Oz.

Hope all your family are well and that the tickets are forthcoming.

    Cheers , pal.

    Affoot.

    Lafferty swearing?

Hearts striker Kyle Lafferty could face retrospective punishment after appearing to swear at Celtic fans following his substitution in Saturday’s 4-1 defeat. The ex-Rangers striker appeared to be showing his middle finger to a group of fans situated beside the away dugout. (Daily Record)

  10. A new day, a new week and just 1 and 4 more sleeps respectively till we again get to see The Champions play.

  11. Morning all.

    Dallas.

Sorry I had fallen asleep by the time you posted.

I enjoyed your Paul not Jimmy bit.

It’s a valid point you make about youth players and B.R. would surely prove to be a miracle worker if we get 5 in the team., like you I keep an eye on the youths, I don’t see too many that are ready.

Danny Cranie was another youth player, I remember chin scoring against oldco and having hopes he might make it, sadly not to be. Not the view done a less than flattering review of him after he had long left the club, his family, rightly so in my opinion, complained about it.

    Hail Hail

  12. 7.20.

    * Ha chin!!! Should read him.

    I don’t want D.Cs family thinking I’ve given him a nickname.

    Hail Hail

  13. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Jimmynotpaul, Danny started playing on our right wing in the last 14 games of the 81/82 season . He roasted that dumplin Rougvie in a match at Celtic Park. When Frank McGarvey was injured , Charlie Nich had a broken leg at the time, Danny then played up front and scored 7 goals in the 14 games he played , a good return for a player who wasn’t a striker.

The follwing season, due to the strength of our team , he rarely featured , unfortunately. Our team selection in the 82/83 season, was very consistent.

  14. I see Nir Bitton wants to stay at Celtic. I’ve got to be honest I’ve blown a bit hot and cold about Nir and definitely wanted him punted after the cup semifinal two seasons ago against sevco where, I believed, he feigned injury to get to subbed. However, since then he has had some very good displays and we may have found his best position in central defence in the sweeper role. His pass for LG’s goal on Saturday was superb. Here’s to him becoming the Bittonbauer of our defence – the Israeli Kaiser.
