  1. Anyone suggesting Craig Thomson is a CHEAT.

Is in my humble opinion 100% correct.

His differing standards to Celtic players verse opponents is blatant.

  2. Go tell the Spartim on

Can we not just sign Bonner as a back up keeper and kill two birds with the one stone ?

Hoping for better than Hendry for CB

Thoroughly enjoyable game, first half didn’t even notice the weather, engrossing football indeed

  3. Didn’t want that 1st half to end.

That was the dynamism I was looking for.

Midfield, solid as an aggressive rock! Kouassi Was a bad ass lion king and along with ON gave Broonie the wingmen he needs to hunt as a pack.

    All strong pass marks tonight.

Laughertee and ThompsHUN ran each other close for cheat of the match.

I pray KT doesn’t end up with a severe injury. Prayers seem his sole protection at present.

    MOTM 88 rarrrrr!

  4. A cold nite warmed up by a very good preformance, liked the bite of the midfield 3. Hopefully we stick with that trio, thought they showed very good energy and balance in there. The return of roberts, rogic and amstrong is gonna make for very good attacking options moving forward this season.

    Long may it continue

  5. G64 I don’t see us losing ON in the summer.

Such is the EPL snobbery that he’ll have to shine in Europe to be noticed. 12 months time might be a different story if he helps power us into the knockout stages of the CL!!

    ;-)

  6. Angel G- strange how we had a taller more physical team out than we have had for a very long time, yet we played quicker and sharper than any game this season, Sheep excepted? Maybe Charly has given the place a lift?

  7. What is the Stars on

    Goodnight all

    Thoroughly enjoyed tonight.

    Jamesgang

Koussai the bad ass lion king ?

    He looks a serious player

  8. The boy Hendry makes sense particularly with the Compper signing.

If Boyata has 18 months left and showing no inclination to extend then we have time to develop Hendry’s raw talent .

i have noticed him playing against us which is unusual but only because he has played well.

  9. WITS

He looked the business. The ‘very business’. Loved his high 5 for Jozo when the latter has clocked the Hun streak of ……

  10. Go tell the Spartim on

    Fanatic

I hope your optimism bears fruit, frankly I’ve seen nothing in him in any of the games I’ve seen him, esp those not against us.

    Time will tell

  11. Gooooood Evening CQN

Nit happy with that tonight – I wanted 4-0 at halftime :-)))

Very well played Celtic, totally dominant

And have to add I thought team better structured when playing with 3 in midfield ( Brown, Kouassi & Ntcham), also thought Odsonne showed his huge potential in that game

    Defence played well

    I’m H A P P Y :-)))

PS, also heard that Mini Hun manager, and very clear insinuation that Broonie deliberately done the young Cochrane. Well done Michael Stewart on calling out Levien, pity about the others trying to deflect on this

  12. Sad to see that Celtic fans don’t show the same “passion” as their neighbors from South of the river by joining the players in celebration.

I blame the PLC for this

  13. Thomson, Madden, Collum, McLean, Clancy and all the rest of them, cheating hun bassas, that’s my opinion and I’m right

Is that how many fouls were committed on each player, certainly felt like it tonight

  16. thomthethim for Oscar OK on

Apart from the height and strength in the team tonight, I believe the main factor in our tempo was the fact that every player had a good first touch.

This enabled them to take a pass, in tight areas,JF especially, and protect the ball.

A good first touch buys you time and allows you to pick a quick pass.

  17. did we win tonight!!!!!!!!!!!

ban bonner and commins etc from celtic park. turn coats the lot of them.

  18. Big Georges Fan Club - Hail, Hail, Wee Oscar on

WITS – saw your mild admonishment of my Bhoy earlier re: use of the word “hate”.

He posted that when we were driving home – I said the same thing to him at the time re: not hating anyone (apart from the Lafferty – JOKE !!).

Oanywho – I’m always grateful for help from his wide family of CQN uncles and aunties in my quest to keep him on the right path !!!

I’m doing a not too bad job with him so far, I think ;-)

  19. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Delighted with tonight’s performance and result.

We played so much quicker plus our early goal hepled us no end as the maroon balloons had to change their tactics other thantheir main tactic, fouling our players.

Thompson is some bit of work . When the Hearts left back blatantly pulled James back , he allowed an advantage but nothing came of it . Thompson should have pulled play back , giving us a free kick then booking their left back Mitchell.

The lanky streak of pee deserved his booking for his blatant pull back of Kieran. Lafferty is as close to that Diuof character as the most unpleasant character on the pitch.

Greetin McGreetin face Levein going on about Broonie after the game shows what a rick he is. Remember when he was all over the media going on about John Hartson ‘elbowing ‘ one of his players years ago. Martin put him in his place.

  20. Big Georges Fan Club - Hail, Hail, Wee Oscar on

PS – Kouassi was a monster tonight – as was Broonie and Olivier Ntcham. Jimmy Forest was excellent, back line was solid again, KT committed and so good it is scary, Moussa is back, Edouard’s goal was magic.

Saw posts above re: the radio discussion around Levein’s commens about Broonie. They were disgraceful – full of insinuation, but without the backbone to back it up. Stewart was on to his comments right away and did not miss him and hit the wall.

Packy? I’m conflicted – he is absolutely a Celtic man, but he is trying to play the neutral role as a pundit and is making a backside of it. Talks himself in circles frequently.

I wouldn’t in any way put him in the same category as Walker, who really has sold his soul to the devil.

Pat is – I think – just not that good as a pundit.

He often opens his mouth and starts speaking without knowing what direction his words are going to take him. Not a calculated sell-out like Walker (who must have the MOST DULL voice on television or radio) – just not really suited to the job he finds himself in.

  21. Pat Bonner is to serious, considered football analysis what Val Doonican (sp?) was to serious, considered musical performances.

  22. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Big George , Walker is permascowl . His coupon is always tripping him.

I’m still on a natural high after tonight’s game.

Facebook has footage of Kieran giving Lafferty both barrels when the big horror jumped up high in the air when Keiran tackled him , trying to get Kieran booked.

  23. Michael Stewart and Willie Miller are the only pundits worth listening to.

The rest seem incapable of rational thought.

  24. Great performance from the team tonight , fast attacking football ,just the job . Scott brown ,what a player , aided greatly by kousassi , who added some steel to the midfield , and hallelujah for that . we have waited a while to see this young man ,tonight was worth the wait , and surely now we will see more of him in the side , only downer for me , wish we had taken more of our chances though , we should have humiliated that mob tonight . Maybe some of you guys may know if scott brown is nearing a suspension , the mibs will have it calculated out as the Huns game isn’t far off . Would hate to face them without the main man . But no complaints tonight , the bhoys done good .

  25. Has bonus bhoy Brendan called oot cheating Thompson for blatant mibbery yet ?

Naaah, thought not, not in keeping with, PLC PC, eh.

Forgot to mention earlier, isn’t it amazing how secure the defence and goalie look, when the manager stops being rigid and, improvises the shape of the team, by, eventually dumping the invisible McGregor, and putting a midfield shield in front of the defence. All of a sudden, the Europa League trophy has retained its glitter.

But, Brendan, bring back the invisible McGregor, and you will deserve all the pish that will, deservedly come your way.

Guid luck tae the Green & White Minstrels :-))))))))

    Happy Happy Happy….throw me a fish :-))))))

    ….oot.

    Zzzzzzzzzzz

  26. garygillespieshamstring on

Excellent performance tonight. Strong and fast midfield is what we have been missing.

Thomson appalling. Three instances of hearts players already on a yellow being issued with warnings rather than a second yellow.

Don’t think broony would have got a similar reprieve.

  27. Well done Celtic! By all accounts a terrific performance, didn’t see it due to time zone but woke up to the good news and saw the goals thanks to CQN!

Off oot for breakfast, be good to each other :-0)

  28. Aha End of the month.

Most moonhowlers meds have run oot already.

Give it a few days folks and we’ll awe be back!

    Cheerio for now.

  29. The Man City model…

    defensive spending 2017-18

    Benjamin Mendy (left-back) – £52m

    Ederson (goalkeeper) – £35m

    Kyle Walker (right-back) – £45m

    Danilo (full-back) – £26.5m

    Aymeric Laporte (centre-back) – £57m

  30. More like it Celtic. Can a high profile signing galvanize the fans and the team ( As we discussed yesterday)

It would seem so. Well done Bhoys.

HH to all, and especially to those who made the effort on a winter’s night.

  31. Not happy. That’s 3 out of the last 4 half’s we’ve lost to greetin’ face from Gorgie’s team. :-(

Joking aside, that midfield is the dogs danglies, and if played when available, will see us win a double treble this season. Kouassi lived up to what many here have said after previous cameo appearances.

Just a thought on Musonda. If he’s here for 18 months does that mean he’ll be available for CL qualifiers in season 2019-2020 ?

    Nice try though!
