Afternoon Timland from a damp hun free mountain valley
3 points against a hartz team determined not to be humiliated again.
I wrote to PL the other day, I doubt he will reply.
………………………………………………………………………
Dear Peter.
I am writing to inform you that neither I, nor any of my family members will be contributing any more of our hard earned money to the club.
It doesn’t amount to a great deal, a little over 1000 pounds per year, but in these days of austerity, I don’t think the club will be too happy at losing any kind of income, and going by the feeling on some of the blogs, I am far from the only one who will be withholding our money.
I am not a season ticket holder due to geography, the money is spent via the shop online.
Our reasons for this stance.
The clubs seeming lack of action re the corruption that is being perpetrated by the SFA. the issuing of licences to the detriment of our club and it’s shareholders.
The continuing breaking of the rules by the SFA, to the detriment of all other Scottish clubs, ours included, the clubs silence on this implies their complicity, IMO.
The total inaction from the club in challenging the continuing farce that is the refereeing in Scotland, their governance and complete lack of transparency.
The inaction or indeed action from the club, re the continuing harassment of our support.
These things are harming the club, you are in a position to at least try and change the game for the better, this IMO is not being done, by you, or anyone connected with the club.
While I understand that the club need to maximise their income, and that obviously in the boards eyes, is to have the OF games back as soon as possible, whether they make it back is debatable, they also have a duty to the shareholders, and especially their supporters, without whom, there would be no club.
Players, managers will come and go, as will you and your fellow directors, supporters are for life.
I would like to congratulate the current board for taking us to the position we hold in the game today, I feel without action from the board, this will be as good as it gets, in fact, I believe we have reached our pinnacle, and things will progress on a downward slope from here on in.
I am sorry that things have arrived at this juncture, and it pains me to feel this way and take such drastic action.
Looking forward to continuing to contributing to the clubs coffers, that rests on the clubs decisions.
14:16 on 21 December, 2013We are at a watershed moment. The support are finally reacting to the treatment from our custodians. Also realistically Lennon’s football style is unattractive so not providing a safety net for directors appalling betrayal of support.New coach and new board needed.
Deary me.
What a miserable site this place is becoming.
Went to match today to support my team while many torn faced on here announced all the miriad reasons not to go. Rain.cold. GB. Lawell.christmas.NFL.etc etc blah bloody blah.
Yes crowd is low. But kick off was 12.15. Live on tv and last sat b4 christmas. Not unexpected.
No one i spoke with felt any sympathy for the GB. They thought they were bigger and more important than the club. Often embarrassing and sometimes shameless. Yes colourful and atmospheric but that will never compensate for the pr disaster they were.
Yeah lets sack our board when club has never been in better health and lets sack NFL when his team is unbeaten and ten points clear.
Have a look accross the way to govan…..thats cause for complaint.
Some on here need to take a good look at themselves and get REAL.

However, hand on heart, how many of his critics can honestly say that in his position, they would not simply take the £900,000 or so, nod their heads and do DD’s bidding.

Glad you enjoyed our victory today and I agree the Hertz goalie saved them from another doing. However, nothing that happened on the pitch today can disguise what’s happening in the stands. At a time when we should be lapping up the huns/zombies circus, we, as a club, are not in good health. That’s not a negative or positive – that’s a fact. Tens of thousands of our supporters feel like St Stivs, myself included, and have decided to keep our green pounds in our pockets till the PLC starts to treat us as supporters and not mere customers whose wallets and purses are their’s to raid when they feel like. Lawwell is fast approaching his “Jock Brown” moment and his departure may well herald better relations between the club and its support. Can’t come a moment too soon for me.

I think there is a serious debate to be had about the lack of a rival and the influence this has been having on our crowds at home games.
In the early 80s the blue mob were an irrelevance in terms of the league but we had a real league with Aberdeen and Dundee United in and around us and this stimulated the interest.
Where is that now?
I think that the lack of a credible rival is one key reason why crowds are down.

Yep, people hate to admit it and I’d be happy never to see a hun team again but unless there’s competition from any team over the coming season then the crowds will drop and the team will get worse.

You ask how do you get the Board to listen?
Nothing batters the Board’s collective eardrums as much as the silence generated by an empty stadium.
Good day so far.
Podium.
We pump the fartz.
And Reve de Sivola pumps the odds on jolly old favourite at Ascot.
Thank you God.

You know, the interesting thing there is
“et al”
Interesting,in that so many are now voicing their opinions against the erstwhile SSM.
Has he lost his mojo? For me,he never had it.
He’s a beancounter,with a line in,erm,one-liners.
One.
Whenever needed,he comes out wi a wee belter that in a pub debate would have been ignored.
Lapped up by those who are willing to be a corporate Celtic person.
My Dad is a notoriously happyclapper because his generation lived through the long years of famine. So I can forgive those from his era.
The rest of us didn’t,and the PLC should remember that. We were reared on success.
But my Dad and I,generation gap notwithstanding, are used to being treated with a modicum of respect.
If PL only wants a stadium of Celtic supporters who think like he does,he will be able to hold the games in a telephone box.
He is dividing the support like no-one in my fifty years has ever done.
Back in to say….
