    BBC, official attendance 46,058.

More than double how many were actually there.

Good stuff. More room for infrequent visiting fans who like plenty elbow room without the add on sweary words of the recalcitrant “faithful” fan then.

The BarcaMole 16.03 I totally agree, I sincerely hope that this post and the poster comes to the notice of Paul67.

You’d think in this day and age with all the safety requirements, and computerised turnstiles the Club would need to know exactly how many people were in the stadium.

A figure based on the number of tickets sold is of interest only to accountants.

  5. I had a good day today.

I was in the company of some good Celtic mhen, met a lot of CQNers, had a laugh with them, argued a couple of points, met and left as friends.

The weather was horrible, the football, well not the greatest, but 3 points bagged. Couple of good goals.

It just not all doom and gloom, the GB were doing themselves proud collecting food for those in need, well done Bhoys and Ghirls. I look forward to seeing back inside supporting the team.

Now I’m not happy with everything the Club does, but I’m not unhappy with everything either.

I still enjoy going to Celtic Park, I like the people I meet. I had a bit of fun.

    A good day.

  6. I might need Sftb to keep me right here after his panning of alanis morrisete….

But isn’t it ironic that the majority of posters getting worked up about the crowd, don’t actually attend games?

  7. No real Celtic supporter gives up on the club, folk have short memories if they think this board is a bad lot.

We have never had a board that has been in cohesion with the support, but withdrawing funds and typing shyte emails will get us nowhere as a ‘Support’.

And before any eedjit tries to have a go at me through my geographical abode, i am lucky enough to have 2 SB at CP which is my gift to my Brother & Sister every year, i have been with CTV since day 1, and hold shares in CFC.

Withdrawing cash from the club you love is complete madness in my opinion.

    I did no such thing.

Don’t blame me if you can’t express yourself clearly.

  9. kojo,

    whit’s yer beef?

40,000 empty seats for starters, no young players against a team that couldnae hit a coo’s arse wae a banjo at 2 yards ( and I don’t mean Darnell Fisher).

A board that are completely at odds with a large number of our support and are completely incapable of communicating with us. An increasing number of folks on here who would previously have backed PL but are now asking some serious questions.

No matter how some want to view things, all is not well in Paradise and it needs to get fixed sooner rather than later.

Who is getting a game due to injuries in his position.

It’s not exactly his first game is it?

Watt got plenty of chances before he went off the rails, hopefully he can get back on track.

I understand Twardzik was injured most of last season.

The others I agree need more time on the pitch, I didn’t claim we were perfect :-)

  11. Loving all the new / old ‘pop-up’s with earnest tales o’ woe…..

an’ how their faith in the bhoys is now miraculously extinguished due to the miserable hand of Celtic’s very own Baron Gradgrind……………

Embdy would think it was the panto season.

  13. TBJ Praying for Oscar Knox on

Got in the car after the match. .. ssb twats ranting about another poor performance from celtic and growing concerns about the lack of r@ngers in the big league .. no competition.

Check on here when I get home… seems I watched a different game from the sofa csc ….

Hertz played 11 behind the ball… as kc said afterwards ” even the best (barca) struggle to break down massed defences”

Think we hit the woodwork three times and their keeper had a great game.

I paid my money.. I dragged my very tired arris along to sit and watch my team.. I am delighted with another three points

  14. I wonder if when the new Rangers come back into the premier league all our infighting will stop. Seems like there are too many people not content to just support Celtic. Seems like they need a cause to manipulate in a way that allows them to raise their self esteem.

The club is in excellent health whether they agree or not. We can’t chose where we play, and like EVERY other club in the World, the priority is domestic success. We are totally dominant in our country. This is the club strategy. It’s not about winning the CL – that is not realistic. Advancement in Europe will always be icing on our cake as long as we play in Scotland.

  15. Over for the game today and it was something similiar to last week. A half empty stadium, devoid of craic and support.

I don’t find it at all surprising the team seem to save their best performances for away games, in small but crowded stadiums with plenty of noise.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy with where we are, delighted in fact. We’ve got a lot to look forward to in the years a head. I do however fear for next season in terms of Season Ticket renewal and how this may impact on our club.

Let’s get the GB back and a striker in for January.

Darnell Fisher played today because Lustig & Matthews were injured. He has played a few games this season when Matthews was injured and Lustig being rested for CL games. He is a great prospect and the more game time he gets the better. The point is if that is the quality of youngster we have why are they not getting more of a chance? It seem that a young player signed from abroad gets a chance almost straight away whereas our own don’t. We are in a unique position, a 4-5 year period, where we can give these youngsters a chance but last season, and so far this, that chance is being passed up.

  18. Pf91…. “Constant harassment and bullying by a club on itsā€™ own support leads to poor crowds”

    Possibly.

But if our next home game at 1500 on a Saturday isn’t a bigger crowd than today I’ll eat my first born.

  21. Papa John supports Wee Oscar plus The Dam 5 on

Me thinks a few on here need to take a reality check, given that if my memory serves me, the crowd today was on par with last season,Sat before Xmas plus poor weather conditions, we are undefeated, scored more goals, are getten the usual tacticts 1 – 5 – 5 and the HEE MAN stuff to Boot, pardon the pun.God only knows what the reaction would be if we were dropping points as we did last season, bring on the Glesca Derby.

    Awerabest Papa John

  22. Kayal33

Maybe, based on what the coach sees all week, the home grown talent just ain’t good enough to step in.

As the evidence suggests our own academy doesn’t produce enough first teamers.

I agree with that but your earlier statement was about why a young player would come to us, my response was to that remark, Darnell came to us and is getting games, and don’t forget what age Matthews is!!

Only commenting on my view from the north stand but looked like their keeper touched a ledley header up onto the bar first half then another chance just before ht

Then a ledley chance at the near post onto the frame .

If no woodwork involved then still very near things despite the ” poor performance”

Paul 67, your blog aye, and free, unhindered contributions are the wont but a line surely, must have to be drawn.

Hey c’mon the comment referred, is offensive, inflammatory and disgusting in the extreme and surely has no space or place on here. If that cretin had made the same comment in the company of good people……

    Join the dots……..

Well done to St Stivs for his measured response….

You are obviously willing to prop up a corrupt game, fine, your choice.

I have, but have decided that I will no longer, unless the club challenge them.

My main gripe is the referees, I thought that the club would tackle them after Dr John uttered those four words, alas, not a peep from them.

My choice, and if more did the same, maybe they would be spurred into action.

  28. TBJ Praying for Oscar Knox

I was just joking with ya, don’t think we hit the post but the keeper did stop 4 certain goals with great saves.
