    If wee McCann ever gets fed up with the tv work there’s a great future for him as an SFA referee. He would give Celtic absolutely nothing.

    Nir is standout looking assured and positive; Gamboa pacey and skilful with a bit of Steel. Kieran back in the groove..almost. Calum took his goal well and tidy performance.

    I was critical of Nir in the cup match as none of his passes caused the opposition problems (didn’t see the midweek game). Today he has made space, tried to open up the Hearts defence, made himself available for the ball. He has also been giving instruction when he is not in possession. A very good first half.

    I’m wondering if BR has taken Nir Bitton aside and turned him into that defensive midfielder we are looking for. Maybe the arrival of the new signing has geed him up, but he certainly looks the part today.
