    So proud, so sad.

     

     

    We never got what we deserved tonight.

     

     

    However,in spite of the rejoicing on here today, when Eve landed at GA, Neil called it wrong.

     

     

    He shouldn’t have played and, I hope, The boy is not hung out to dry.

     

     

    We were not helped by a ref who was determined to nullify our threat at corners.

     

     

    An investigation should follow, but we know how EUFA work. Like the SFA,in capital letters.

     

     

    Boking both players, twice, wasjust cheating.

    What a fantastic learning curve for our young team.

     

     

    For 65 mins we were the better team and loked every inch a top European outfit.

     

     

    We are on the right road, no doubt about that

    We played some great football and the scoreline clearly flatters the Italians.

    We went for the jugular tonight and missed.

     

     

    Some brave decisions from NFL, some worked, some didn’t. I feel for those players, they gave their all and didn’t deserve to lose by 3.

     

     

    Congratulations to Juve on their goals. Clinical.

     

     

    Clarification on what exactly the extra referees behind the goals are meant to be doing would be good. The holding and pulling at set plays was the worst I’ve seen in a long time.

    we should not have lost tonight, two mistake for goals, Hooper or anyone as it turned out were being pulled held and right in front of a CHEATS eyes who done FA about it except book us as well you cant learn from that ,that is cheating nothing else and I hope someone at Celtic has the balls to question this.

    We never converted our many opportunities into goals, Juve did with their opportunities and that was the main difference, without a doubt though the fouls against Hooper at corner kicks was indicative of a cheating ref or a very poor one.

    Very good performance from us tonight, very professional performance from Juve. The goals aside the referee is the person who decides how the game pans out, if he lets Juve get away with pushing, shoving and holding in the box then they carry on with it. If he gives a penalty at the first corner then that puts an end to it.

    No wonder folk are not going to football nowadays.

     

     

    The holding, grabbing and pulling in the penalty box is ridiculous.

     

    I’m in my early sixties and in our day the least wee tug on a shirt in the penalty box was a penalty and if you were the ‘tugger’ your team mates weren’t long in telling you.

     

     

    The Italians got away with murder tonight. Celtic should have had two penalties.

     

    The game is wasted and for me….the ref looked every inch a cheat.

    Playing Ambrose was a huge risk. He was bullied against Moscow in December and we ignored the warning. James Forrest, sorry but for me, he adds very little. Goalie was rusty at the weekend and saved nothing tonight. Oh for a decent pillow. Tony Watt should have started – more more of a threat against a team sitting deep. Referee was a complete joke – we should have had a penalty before their first goal when Hooper was assaulted and then thrown into the net. Shameful that this referee watched this all night and actually booked our players for being attacked. When you think of the soft penalties we have conceded in our time in the champions league. One rule for the big countries and another for the rest.

    To watch a last 16 ECL game where the result was 3-0 against and still feel we could have won because of the way we played is credit to the team – and everyone involved.

     

     

    Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall.

    I thought in the first half we were the better team although 1-0 down.

     

    mistakes caused us the game and i don’t think the ref helped.no chip, just an honest opinion on set pieces.

     

    I maybe find it hard to nod off tonight but when i wake up I’ll no i my club is still alive.Hail Hail

    Appalling refereeing display tonight particularly in the first half. I have a feeling his lino’s had a word with him at half time about getting out alive. As for the statues behind the goal I would love to know how much those guys are paid as it looks like the easiest job in the world, stand still and do nothing for 90 minutes.

     

     

    Doesn’t take away from a great team display, the result is in no way reflective of the effort put in by the players. In particular take a bow Scott Brown, I think you are finally winning me over.

    Izzy,Brown,Commons and Wilson were best

     

    Also Mulgrew,Lustig,Vic and Hooper played well.

     

    Forrest was missing

     

    Forster resmbled a totem pole and was clearly unfit.

     

    Ambrose had an absolute shocker.

     

    Mathews was good when he came onand would have been better than Forrest

     

    Coach has to learn te trust the squad more.

     

    He had some good ideas but met a better opponent.

    If we’d lost without Efe playing then people would be saying we should have played him. It was simply a calculated gamble and sadly it didn’t pay off.

    Play Charlie at centre half and keep it tight no full backs bombing on. make sure The wee men arent on their lineand ahve the big men ready to run at them when we have corners. All very well in hindsight.

     

    Instead we had Efe having a nightmare, Lustig and Izzy bombing forward and Hooper getting boxed in. Neil has a great record at picking the right team and tactics. Getting this far is testament to that. The look on his face told you he knew he had it wrong.

     

     

    Onwards.

    Never have ever liked Juventus (particularly) and Italian teams (generally) – even when they were playing and beating the dead team in Europe their underhand tactics were always to the fore.

     

     

    Now I have more reason to dislike them.

     

     

    And yeah, they’re good technically, not that good though. And boy didn’t they pay a lot of money for it?

     

     

    Love my team. Always have. Always will.

    I am bitterly disappointed though very proud of the team and manager.

     

     

    I feel totally justified about my views of Italian football, particularly Juventus.

     

    Class? They have none!! The huns of Italy in my opinion!

     

     

    The refs performance was not unexpected.

     

     

    UEFA…give us the money then f right off!
