If you care about governance of Scottish Football please take a minute to read the following

The results of an independent survey completed by 16,324 fans, players, managers, coaches and supporters will be presented next Tuesday 7th November at a Firhill Stadium event organised by Scottish Football Supporters Association.

Listen to and then question our German Academics and be part of the audience that debates the issues raised with a top table of Broadcasters, journalists and football folk. Some free tickets still available so this is your chance to be heard.

  4. Sorry for any misunderstanding…..not my birthday today., my mention of not celebrating them seems to have been misconstrued.

Best wishes accepted nonetheless and happy birthday to Barren Bhoy and Bayern Bhoy

You’re never alone with a schizophrenic CSC

  5. Have my own opinion about how I felt about the way the game was played yesterday. However I was astonished that so many walked out and did not stay to applauded the fact that we had recorded a milestone in our long and wonderful story.Actually people passed and looked at me strangely at doing so. Maybe I am just lucky, a Lisbon veteran, years of European football at top level. Of course there were the lean (cheated ) years but I am still here to rejoice in one more milestone in the Celtic Story. HH.

  6. A well kent song often sung at parkheid states “where are the lads that stood with me when history was made”, well only 20,000 or so were left at time up yesterday.

I too have my own opinion of how the game was played out yesterday. The main thing that affected how we played out the game was there were too many changes, in my opinion of course. That said, Brendan has his reasons, what they were, only he knows. I trust Brendan, as you posted, he along with the Players reached a milestone and hopefully set a new milestone next Saturday.

Unlike you I am not a Lisbon Veteran, alas I am only 55.

Like you have witnessed some lean years, a lot of them because we were cheated. Some though were simply because we did not have combination of a quality Manager and Players.

Like you I stayed to the end to acknowledge the milestone Brendan has reached. I get why the changes were necessary. I was only disgruntled because I was sodden cold, left my hat and scarf out but decided to leave them behind, a big mistake.

I did not and cannot accept some of the negativity that I witnessed yesterday from some of those around me. Had it been the norm, then yes I could maybe understand the negativity.

Brendan is a quality Manager who has brought us a long way. He has a vision, one which is bearing fruit.

Like you mate I trust in Brendan.

    Keep the Faith!

    Hail Hail!

Not had a chance to read back yet but was wondering if the Poppy debate has started yet as there is a good article in the Independent on it by Robert Fisk.

  9. JIMMYNOTPAUL-1:37pm-just catching up thanks regarding the white poppy, was interested because I had never seen one before. Thanks again:-))

  10. Houston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel has reportedly been suspended for the first five games of next season after making a racist gesture aimed at Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Yu Darvish in Game 3 of the World Series. MLB considered suspending him for the rest of the World Series but did not want to punish the other players on the Astros roster by having a starter sit out.

Meanwhile in the best wee bigoted country chants about another Japanese eating dogs, a Slavic player being a gypsy and a huge percentage of the population are told to go home, even though they are home. Yet nothing happens.

Just watching Sportscene (I watch do t listen :-) 55 Wins & 7 draws since BR has entered the Spl or whatever they call it, outstanding

Starry Plough & WITS manny happy returns and hope you have many many more

Roll on Bayern Munich …. happy days

  12. Gerryfaethebrig.

    Hi Gerry.

I hope all is good in your world.

Hopefully this doesn’t come across as pedantic, but B.R has been involved in 61out of 62 games.

Your pal Ronny started it,when we pumped Motherwell 7.0 in the last game of the season.

I didn’t think you would want to miss the opportunity to give Ronny credit for his part in the record run.

    Hail Hail

    Big Packy

Had a Christie’s onion pie yesterday for lunch, told you next time you are in ML5 the bridies fae Christie’s are on me and we could wash them down with a beverage or 10 in the Columba club across the from the Christie’s

JNP all good here, brilliant, cheers for reminding me Ronny was an integral part of this history making feat, Ronny 4 & 5 is his full title :-)

  14. We drew 1-1 with Kilmarnock.

Disappointing result certainly. We’ve encountered similar before. 11 men behind the ball. Difficult to break down. One goal not enough to draw them out and they scored what I consider a pretty good goal.

When Roberts went off injured and Rogic having a mare, my interest waned a bit in terms of seeing unlimited skills.

Of course had we signed some decent players in the summer, spent gazillions and have world player of the year in our team we could guarantee victory in every game.

    Or maybe not.

    Girona 2-1 Real Madrid

Of course that was away from Home, right…

  15. James Rodriguez is praising the Celtic number 9 to the skies. The Colombia captain, a number 10 if ever there was one, could have been the best in that position for Real Madrid, since the legendary Ferenc Puskas. Both having that “educated left foot”. But like Maradona, the other one is just for standing on. Baby-face James weighs in at 78 kilos and is champing at the bit to join those greats who have passed through Parkhead´s gates.

    That’s quite an article-nay,quite a statement-from Robert Fisk.

  17. Of course, as if the result wasn’t bad enough for Real Madrid.

Barcelona quick news are already posting that it was their reserve team :-))

    RMCN definitely in meltdown.

    Hail Hail

  18. JNP

I am looking forward to seeing Pedro the postie in the morning, he is a rabid Real supporter, he will have some convoluted excuse no doubt :-)

You sure canny win them all.

    HH

  19. Apathy………………………………………..will find you.

Only empty seats, will bring the answers to the question of, football governance.

Clap her hands if ye believe in fairies CSC

    …….oot.

  20. The Exiled Tim. 7.22.

I’m sure you will have a lot of fun.

    Seriously where do you start?

I reckon he will say they faced armed threats from rabid Catalonians and were told to throw the game.

What odds do I get on that?

    Hail Hail

  21. Apologies if this has been covered already. The day after we equal our own 100 year British record for 62 domestic games undefeated, the Sunday Times Sport front page has only two stories, Kenny Miller and EBT Souness. Positive stories of course.

Inside the paper isn’t much better, page 2&3 …main feature Sevco.

Maybe RM had one eye on a big midweek game at home to a German team(!)

  23. Thought Ajer was poor defensively for the goal yesterday, maybe why he doesn’t play as often as some fans want.

Got a feeling it will be a full house on Tuesday with the majority of home fans hoping for a win but probably expecting not to

    FairiesCSC

Hope all is good and whatever the result in the 67th minute when the Celtic fans in the stadium sing & get the smart phones on, I think there is nothing better

    Hail Hail
