You can usually get a taxi in Merchant City, alternatively walk down to Trongate and get a bus (it takes about 20 mins).

about 1 hour from the rebel town of Mornington so

    So very sad.

Celtic keep getting Better and Better.

    Hibs get 2nd.

  12. Good Stuff Bobby, I should be there at 5pm. I’m just waiting for Eurochamps to get back to me to give me a time & venue to meet him as he will have my tickets.

Look forward to meeting you, by the way, I leave the pints till after the game. At my age if I had a feed of pints pre-game I’d be taking 3 or 4 trips up and down to the WC. during the game, so normally a few glasses of red wine pre game in Blane Valley & a few pints of Guinness post game is the plan.

  13. Cowiebhoy,BADA BING

Cheers Bhoys glad to be back, been a sad time only 8wks since Mothers passing God Bless Her, was a very peaceful final moments, with all family around, as she would have wished last blessings also.

On a lighter note, or should I a say I was in the company of wait for it, Bill Leckie, David Tanner, and Dick Campbell last night, there’s a line up that would bring tears to your eyes, feel as if ave taken the 33rd Degree, Garnkirk United FC fund in the Knight Club Moodiesburn night, btw they say young Mike Johnson started there. was not as Blue as I expected managed to get home OK as it was All Quiet in the East, hope all is well with you and yours.

  15. Cowie, Think the results are due on 31st October she is still a rank outsider.

She is just kicking off in the Business has about 1,000 followers on Social Media, she is last of the 18 in that regard by a Country mile, 7 or 8 of the others have circa 16,000 followers each.

Anyway it has been fun and we gave it our best shot, and as I said to her when vote closed, if you give something your best shot, you may not win but you never really lose.

One way or the other I’ll let the blog know how it goes.

  16. Not been on at all today and haven’t read back. Just a few thoughts on what went wrong yesterday and why we may be struggling a little with home matches.

When we play against packed defences they are narrow and there are lots of bodies within the width of the 18 yard box. It was the way to defend against the great Barca side, flood the middle and force them out wide as they wont cross the ball. In these scenarios the width comes from the fullbacks, especially when you’re wingers want to cut inside onto their favoured foot. KT gets forward and gives you that width but Lustig doesn’t. Now, it”s not case of scapegoating him, it’s an acknowledgement that he doesn’t give us the width on the right hand side. When Paddy went off yesterday, next to nothing came down the right hand side despite there being acres of space there. Rogic and Griff tried to get out there but it didn’t work.

As Lustig doesn’t get forward it means the right winger is always faced with two or three players to beat. Paddy can do that but it’s a big ask. Realistically you want Lustig going round the outside or beyond giving the winger another option and pulling other players away. You also want your midfielders running around the outside of the winger or making the run through the channel inside. It’s something that Armstrong and McGregor do well. Less so Rogic and Ntcham definitely wont give you that.

I think teams have cottoned onto the fact Lustig doesn’t get forward and it’s something we need to think about. Having neither Forrest or Roberts available was a big contributing factor in the second half. Personally i would have liked to see McGregor replace Roberts in a like for like change but we went with Sinclair and moved Johnson which offered nothing really. In these games where it’s tight McGregor has proved invaluable which makes his omission yesterday a strange one.

I would suggest that taxi is probably the best way and not too expensive. I think the nearest station was Cruz Quebrada which is still a wee bit of a walk from the stadium.

  18. TimH- i thought Ajer done well yesterday, maybe not a natural CB, but that could be his position long term HH
