Due to family commitments I was unable to post games 3 and 4 updates.
Houston came home having split the first two games.
Games 3 and 4 were also split so they came into tonight with the series tied 2-2
Tonight’s game 5 has been a slugfest.
Dodgers jumped out to a 3 run lead in the 1st and added. Run in the 4th.
Astros evened it up 4-4 in the bottom of the 4th
Both sides added THREE runs in the 5th and in the top of the7th Dodgers added a run to lead 8-7.
Could they hang on to their slender 1 run lead?
Heck no.
Astros scored 4 runs bottom of 7th to lead 11-8 after 7.
Is it a big enough cushion?
Dodgers have pulled 1 back in the 8th so Astros lead 11-9.
This game has a few more twists and turns before the lights are switched out in Houston
Houston add an insurance run in the 8th and LA now trail 12-9 with there last three outs left.
BTW this game has lasted almost 4 1/2 hours already.
In the 9th Dodgers hit a 1 out 2 run homer.

I am looking forward to meeting up with you at long last in the BV on Tuesday, and just so you will recognise me..I’m a ” Father Jack” lookalike….with the same tendencies to shout ” Drink, Girls, Arse, Feck”, at any given drunken moment !
However, I intend to adopt some stealth on entering the establishment, in order to throw those who have never met me off the scent. So unless my good mate BLANTYRE TIM shouts out on my sneaky, stealthly, James Bond like entrance….” Jimmy..ya big eejit…whit are you drinking” ? and therefore gives me away to all and sundry ( Ive never been quite sure what “Sundry” means)….I may go undetected for all of 90 seconds ?
just a wee reminder…or piece of advice BMCUWP…given the timescale that you are working to ( BV around 5pm…and then on to Duke St and The Crown), unless you have a car to get from A to B, not forgetting the time spent in BV having a couple etc, and the Matchday Traffic colliding with the usual rush hour traffic etc….AND the fact that on reaching The Crown it will be Mobbed, you are not giving yourself a lot of leeway imo.
It will be even more hectic for you IF you intend to get a taxi from BV to the Crown…given the traffic problems etc that I have mentioned /
It may prove nearly impossible to get a taxi from 6pm onwards ?
Who knows, but I’m only giving you a wee bit of advice due to your timing schedule.
I can only suggest that you head to the BV an hour or so earlier than 5pm, to give yourself time for a blether…and the hope of getting a taxi at teatime in Glasgow city centre maybe just after 5pm, BEFORE the traffic heading to Celtic Park really kicks in ?
I’ve not been in the Crown for a few years now, but Tommy always did allow too many fans in before games..at times it was “murder”, that’s the only reason why I stopped going in on matchdays.

Madmitch, I think inferred that Griff was not interested in the second half. From where I view the games, I thought he was exasperated at times when he made runs wide and no one responded by a quick pass in his direction. Also he was really annoyed with the defence and showed it as he lined up to kick off after Killie scored their goal. Appeared very interested to me.

I’m on an Android phone mate, I’ve downloaded a browser called X browser, in settings it has a “strong block “feature enable that and adds will be gone quicker than a Portuguese man of bullshit .
It does have one or 2 wee problems when you try to get back to the last post you read but other than that its fine, you can also switch JavaScript on and off easily.

Cheers mate, I was hoping and praying that you would take the “advice” the right way and not be offended ?
I kinda know Glesga…in fact about 2 hours BEFORE the PSG match at Celtic Park I was in my nearby local, and there was only about 6 or 7 punters in, as it’s not a football pub.
I was having a couple of beers prior to heading out to watch the game, and two separate other punters asked the owner to phone them individual taxi’s around 5.45/ 6pm….when I left just before 7pm..one of those punters had given up all hope of a taxi arriving…whilst the other kept pestering the owner to phone the taxi firms again and again.
When I left…neither punters taxi had appeared cos the pub owner was just getting told that there was NO TAXI’s available by the taxi firms.
Anyways mate…just trying to keep you right, and it goes without saying that the later you leave it to get to see your Da in the Crown before the game…the more difficult it will be for you to find any space in the Crown. I don’t want to see your trip to glasgow and Celtic Park ruined BEFORE a ball is feckin kicked at 7.45pm ?
See you tomorrow in the BV.

I use safari and chrome for other sites and just have Cqn in Adblock but adverts still pop up
It’s a nightmare when your trying to be fly about reading Cqn in the pub when Mrs BT is looking to converse
