  6. Bada Bing.

That’s a shame I am always like to see all the great players.

It’s so hard t make it at that level but sadly that’s football.

I wish them all a full recovery.

    Hail Hail

Yep it’s a great interview with BBJ covering his footie career, the Rangers Liquidation, his fight against cancer and a gambling addiction.

He says it as he sees it. Some guy.

  10. A few years ago I came out of Celtic Park into my then local pub…..a thick hun Chump who I knew from the pub..and who hadn’t been to Ipox for decades asked me ” Where’s yer Poppy”….I then showed him my White Poppy…which he hadn’t obviously noticed….FFS See trying to explain the reasoning behind wearing a WHITE Poppy to thick ugly Hun Chump…I quickly gave up !

That said, this particular Hun Chump was drunk one night and “confessed to me that his only son was “GAY”…and how he had dis owned his own son because of that !

This Bigot was a former Firefighter….i told him that by ” Disowning his son…that told me more about him as a feckin Bigot and as a so called father…than anything his son may be ”

He started greetin at the bar….whit a waste of space this Chump was.

  11. JNP- totally agree, part of the buzz of CL nights at CP, is seeing top players live.I remember standand applauding Ronaldinho when he was subbed at CP, a numpty behind me’whit are ye clappin him fur, he disnae play fur Cellic, i told him it was a pleasure to see a truly great player live, and he entertained me, to the approval of guys sitting around us.HH

  12. Looking back I’ve seen a few references to the inhospitality of Stranraer.

I have to say that now that the ferry terminals are in Cairnryan ( which is in the middle of nowhere) that I miss Stranraer.

I remember a cup game in Stair Park in 2001. The ferry landed at mid morning so we had a few hours before the game. We discovered the Arkhouse Inn in Church Street where we received a great welcome.

In Stair Park we were so close to the pitch that we could reach out and touch the players. My old friend George who had played for WBA shouted at Ramon Vega who was taking a throw-in to give it to Thompson. He did and when Thompson slid the ball to Neil Lennon, Big Ramon turned round and shouted to George, “Good call.”

Sadly that was George’s last game as he passed away two months later.

Anytime afterwards when we were late for a ferry or weather caused a delay we made our way to the Arkhouse. A couple of years ago we were strand d at Carnryan for 6 hours. We got taxied into Stranraer and made for the Ark.

Anyone who thinks Stranraer is not a great place should stop off in Larne on a wet day!

  13. Bada Bing, similarly when Iniesta was subbed, but on that occasion the stadiums stood as one and applauded.

That made me proud that night.

We could appreciate a great player playing at CP, even if not playing for us.

    Same happened for Derek Johnstone!

    Legned:-)

No, sorry, wrong memory, he came on as a sub and we cheered!!

    That was it.

    Silly me:-)

  14. Doc- true, we go to football to be entertained, and we have seen plenty of the ‘greats’ at CP, one of the few who had no class was Thierry Henry, cupping his ears after he scored, he wasn’t even getting any stick.

  15. BIG JIMMY on 29TH OCTOBER 2017 11:52 AM

FFS…Somebody tell Brendan that Celtic play St Johnstone next Saturday and NOT Ross County !

    ::::::::::::;

Believe Brendan on record saying he spends first ten minutes of every game watching opponents.

I thought it was to check tactics formation etc but it now seems that he is trying to ascertain which team we are playing.

  16. Ive been stuck in the Hoose for nearly a week due to being unwell ( yet again)…I’m bored…………think I’ll go a walk to George Square and steal a stray Doo…and find a wee Hun boy fan…and swap ma new found Doo for his Ball ?

He ( being a wee Hun) won’t have much use of a ball anyway, he wouldn’t know whit to DOO with it ?

    LOL

    Only Joking folks.
